If you want a wall built, this is the company to call. This is the second wall we had built using Wall2Wall. The installation of the first wall (three years ago) went smoothly and was uneventful. This time around was a little more complicated. After the wall was fully installed, we decided that the area left for the common room was smaller than we wanted. The mistake was ours and yet Wall2Wall returned and moved the wall agreeing to charge us only half of the original price because they assumed the original wall had to be taken down and rebuilt. They said they didn't want to charge us the full amount but had to cover the cost of materials as well as the mechanic's time. I failed to tell the owner that we wanted the wall moved only 7 inches (which sounds ridiculous but we were dealing with a very small space). When the mechanic arrived, he decided to move the existing wall, slowly and methodically, rather than tearing down the original and rebuilding it. I called, spoke with Christine (who was extremely understanding and accommodative from the very beginning) and she had the owner call me. The owner, Eddie, stopped by the apartment, confirmed that the mechanic had only moved the wall and suggested we just pay for the mechanic's time. He really didn't have to make that concession. We had agreed to a much higher price but he said he just wanted to be fair. I tend to do my homework before hiring anyone. Prior to hiring Wall2Wall I had spoken with another company who truly left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm convinced if I had hired any other company, I would have been charged the full amount to move the wall. Can't say enough about this company. We have now built two walls with Wall2Wall and still have other children to move into the city. In an industry where there a few sleazy companies, it's good to know there is one who stands behind their work, shows up on time, doesn't try to soak you on price and is very accommodative when you have to make changes. read more

I recently got a temporary wall done with these guys. I spoke to a few companies, and the person from this company Eddie, seemed the most knowledgeable. He even went, what seemed to me above and beyond, because he called up my building, figured out restrictions, so we'd be sure the work would be correct. The agreement with Eddie over the phone was to do a bookshelf wall with a closet at one end. The guy who came for the job, he asked if I would be okay with sheetrock instead of real wood for the bookshelf. He said real wood gets dusty. That miffed me off a bit because I thought he was trying to save a buck. But, I decided I didn't mind if it saves him some money but doesnt adversely impact me. He then told me the bookshelf wont be end to end, but only for 2/3rd of the length. That miffed me off some more. But, I decided to be okay with that too. Because that would work fine for the way I was planning to put furniture in that room. Anyway, the job got done. I moved in a few days after. 24 hours after my move, the closet door fell on my 5 year old. Luckily someone was around, so she wasnt hurt. I called up the company. I was told to leave a message. I called back a few days later, the woman on the phone apologized for not getting back and promised one of the owners would. Here I am several weeks later, still with a broken door for my kids closet in my dining room (yes, that's Manhattan living for ya) and no call back. I paid a lot of money for this wall/closet/bookshelf configuration. Making sure the door works should be a basic professional courtesy. I bet they don't honor the promise to tear down the wall at the end of the rental contract either. Total mistake to use this company. read more

Wall2Wall was excellent. I called on a Thursday and had the wall installed the following Tuesday. We had our bedroom divided for a nursery for our young son. The price was as Adam described in my initial call and he was very helpful in discussing all of the options. Christine at the office was also polite and helpful, including adjusting the cost of a portion of the contract that was amended in my discussions with Adam. I had wall installed 5 years ago by another company and it was lower quality and much more hassle. The work itself was great, as the wall looks very professionally done (the seams look great, the door is smooth, they painted the wall with paint I had on hand to match the walls, etc). My wife was also thrilled with the work and it was great to have our own room, separate from the little guy. I have already invited other tenants/friends over to see the wall as they are interested in having a similar thing done in their apartments. A few of the negative reviews I saw: I assume if you do not read the contract thoroughly, you could be disappointed as some reviewers were. As opposed to some companies that charge a yearly lease, Wall2Wall charges a removal fee IF you keep the wall longer than 2 years. There was very little mess. Paper was laid down for paint spillage, the surrounding walls were kept clean, some minor dust which vacuumed up in 60seconds was the whole cleanup. Durability- I cannot yet speak to this, but I paid less than $1000 for a wall to be constructed in less than a day, so I am expecting quality work, not the Colosseum. read more

Horrible business. Absolutely appalling customer service. This is probably the most incompetent business I have ever dealt with. Needed a wall adjusted in June and by late July I was still calling to have them come in and finish adjustments to the wall. I have called at least 12 times to have someone come in and finish the job and each time the owner would say "I will call you tomorrow" or "I will have someone come in next week." Flash forward to July (almost 2 months later) and they still have not finished the adjustments. What's worse, when I called the owner out on how long this has been going on he yelled at me. Seriously??? Did you seriously yell at your customer because you couldn't finish your job? Did you seriously yell at your customer because no one was home to receive your contractor's because they always arrived LATE, essentially missing their appointment? I understand that dealing with customers can be difficult sometimes. I understand that some customers make impossible demands. I get it, but here is some rudimentary business advice --- 1) when you perform a job, complete it. To elaborate, when one of your customers just spent over a thousand dollars on your product and he or she is dissatisfied with your service because it is 1)incomplete and 2) you/your contractors failed to keep your appointments/word to remedy the situation, do not yell at your customer because YOU could not finish YOUR job. read more

I agree with the other reviewers. Scam Artists in describing this company is putting it mildly ! Wall2Wall is nothing but thugs. Customer service, whether it was on the phone or when contacting their office, all I can say is, they went out of their way to go beyond rude. Comittments ?? They didn't show up on the day we scheduled my construction, and they tried to turn their negiligence around as if it was my fault. The owners are the rudest, most angry, vulgar, vile people I've ever dealt with. My boyfriend and I have had stomach issues after the ordeal of dealing with this company. We're spoken to an attorney, called the attorney general's office and the BBB about suing them. Seems Wall2Wall picks up and moves their operation every year to an area where they can find some more cherries ripe for picking. The Better Business office informed us, from the complaints that were filed, they're now operating their seedy operation in midtown manhattan. Don't get fooled. The only positive reviews on here for this company, were probably posted by them. Never, never, give a company like this money up front. And if you do, know this, they're going to come back and scam you for more, irregardless of the agreement they made with you. Remember, you were warned. read more

I am shocked that there is any negative feedback for Wall2Wall. I have lived in New York for most of my life - and since moving out on my own have used Wall2Wall three times. Without question - this is the most affordable, high quality company around. I can't speak to their procedure on taking down a wall, because the work has been so good that every apartment I have moved out of, I have been asked to keep up the wall and sign it over to the next tenant. I happily have done so. These guys will come in and tell you how you SHOULD be flexing an apartment, and even showed us that we could get by not sacrifice a living room doing it their way -- which to speak to some other reviews was on $800.00 not $1K. I will say that the second wall these folks put up, had a minor imperfection, and we were planning on using a projector to project TV on that wall so it had to be fixed. I called and they repaired the seam the next day. No questions asked. If for any reason, you are unhappy - ask the receptionist to speak to Eddie, the owner, directly. She gave me his cell phone number on a Sunday for this last wall, as I was nervous to sign a lease if Wall2Wall couldn't do the work. I highly recommend. read more

My wife and I moved into a new apartment on the upper East side a few years back. Our plan was to find a big enough place where we could divide the living room to create a nursery for our new born on the way. I reached out to Wall 2 Wall through the website and I got a direct call from Paul within an hour. I told Paul my idea of a floor to ceiling wall with 2 sliding French doors, he gave me a quote, I gave a date. From there the worker should up exactly on time on the date we picked, had the wall put up, painted (with my paint) and cleaned up all within 3 hours, I was honestly shocked how quickly and perfectly it was done (pics attached). Now we are moving in a month so I contacted WTW again for the removal and I was called back by Josh within an hour. We scheduled a date for removal and clean up, I can't say enough about how easy it is to work with these guys. If you are evaluating different temporary wall companies, look no further. Wall 2 Wall NY is a excellent company we used two years ago when my daughter moved to New York. First, as a property manager I found the idea of a wall installation company fascinating - a brilliant concept. Secondly, they were easy to work with, explained the wall installation, provided a date, were prompt the day of installation and cleaned up behind themselves. Fast forward two years later, I called and spoke to Josh when we needed the walls to be removed. Though he did not have an available date online he found a way to accommodate us. Josh was courteous and professional - easing our worries of getting a date for the wall removal. Wall removal day was again made VERY easy - the employee was ahead of schedule, courteous, professional and left the apartment clean. Wall2Wall was beyond professional and helpful in the recent job that we commissioned. My roommates and I were looking to build a T-Shaped wall in our new high-rise apartment. Eddie, the owner, spoke with me himself; offering suggestions on how to maximize our living space. He was kind and understanding, and offered honest advice. On the day of the job, 3 workers were sent to build the wall. They were also, very professional. During the process, our building's manager arrived on-site and created a scene when he did not approve of the apartment's new lay-out. The Wall2Wall workers negotiated and planned out a solution that would meet the needs of both my landlord and ourselves. In addition, the craftsmanship was excellent. Many people who have seen our walls are shocked that they were additional builds. The walls, windows, and doors / door frames, flow seamlessly with the original walls. I am impressed with the job done. I had to put a wall in apartment on Upper East Side in a building where the building board had to approve the wall construction, and you had to prove it will not damage the walls and ceilings, and insurance - and all nine yards of formalities. When I called, Paul knew exactly what I was talking about, I did not have to explain. The approval went smoothly, no problem at all, right documents were send on-time to the right people. Communication was very good throughout the process. Emails answered immediately. Jorge (the guy who did actual construction) showed up on-time for the appointment, he had all the materials. We ask to move the location on the door in the wall - no problem, done. The wall looks very good, it is a solid, elegant real wall, they put soundproof and all. The whole process took like 4 hours or so. All done - everything painted and cleaned. Very impressive. Totally worth $900. read more

I made a yelp account just to write a review of my experience using Wall 2 Wall this week. They were fantastic, I worked with Paul. He gave me an estimate and an installation date the same week- it was a very reasonable price. The morning of the installation the copy of my keys to the apartment weren't working and the super couldn't get it open either. I called to reschedule and Eddie, the owner, reassured me repeatedly that things like this come up and that the crew could wait a few hours until I was able to get the original set of keys from my other roommate. Paco came on time, very friendly, and even was flexible with making adjustments to what I had originally requested. He even sent me a text with a picture once he was done because I couldn't get off work. The wall came out beautifully, love that the door came with keys, HIGHLY RECOMMEND using their services!!! Wall2Wall was amazing! They provided amazing service while installing the wall. Every time someone visited my apartment they could not believe that the wall in my room was temporary installed by a company after moving it. The installation was seamless and easy and the wall is not only high quality but beautiful. Not only is the wall well made but it cancels out noise for the rest of the apartment so well, you'd never guess it wasn't a structural wall. Further, due to my procrastination I waited until the last minute to schedule a wall removal when my roommate and i needed to reluctantly move out due to covid-19. I've lived in 4 different apartments throughout the city and have never had to use a partition (Flex wall) prior to my most current. That said, I was a bit skeptical moving into my current apartment as I knew I'd need to have one installed. I could not have been more surprised. Josh and the guys over at Wall 2 Wall provided an incredible service and put up a temporary wall that sealed off all sound and looks incredible. They even went as far as splitting the wall where an electrical outlet was in order to have access from both sides of the room. Aside from the wall itself being great, the gentleman who put it up and took it down was a pleasure to work with. There was a miscommunication with my building and I, thus making it impossible for the team to come and take off our wall during the assigned period. They were very prompt in helping us reschedule the appointment and were extremely understanding with our issue. Their team was willing to work with us and make sure we got all that we needed to be taken care of. I highly recommend their services. On another note, I even recommend their services to put up the wall. We have had the physical wall for a while now and the quality and finish is great. The first location did not give me the comfort through their customer service that they would get the job done for me nor were they friendly. I had a problem with my apartment - I needed it to be more space efficient. It seemed that the logical thing to do to best utilize the space that I had would be to divide one or more of the rooms. I was somewhat skeptical about dividing my apartment, as I really didn't know much about the procedures involved. I did some research and learned of a technique that uses pressurized walls to divide apartment rooms. After calling several companies to obtain information about pressurized walls, a friend of a friend recommended a company by the name of Wall2Wall. I contracted them to do the job of dividing some of the rooms in my apartment. Well, to say the least...they were on time, friendly, did a great job, and left the apartment spotless. Couldn't have asked for better service or better quality! I spoke with Paul on the phone on a Monday regarding the temporary wall we wanted to install in our NYC apartment and we were able to have our walls installed that Thursday morning. We were worried since we all worked and wouldn't be available to be there, but they were able to let themselves in and install everything without any of us being there. The walls are 5" thick and seem just as sound proof as the real walls in our apartment. The job was clean and seamless, and they left absolutely no mess during the process. Don't give them a hard time on building rules regarding the type of wall you can have, they can't do anything about it, but they're willing to work within your building rules and do the best that they can. read more

I had a GREAT experience with Wall2Wall. We had our free standing bookshelf wall installed over two years ago and it has looked AMAZING since the day it was installed. The man who put up the wall was not only a true professional, but he was respectful and was in and out very quickly. Most importantly, the wall has been sturdy and secure since the day it was installed. There has been absolutely no signs of wear and tear and, if we were not moving out of our apartment, I can see this wall lasting a very long time. Finally, the customer service has been fantastic.
