Quick, efficient and kind service! They are not pushy and their prices are very fair. I will keep coming back.

Absolutely terrible place to buy a car…read more We purchased a 2014 Subaru back in June 2020 for 10k after taxes/registration/mandatory warranty and interest the total was closer to 17k. My mother in law purchased the car in her name as a buy here pay here- we put $4000 down and did $312 a month. The vehicle was driven by myself and her son. My mother In law passed away in November of 2021 and we were told as long as the payments kept coming they didn't care where the car was. They still received payments for a loan of a woman who was passed away for months. In January we went to the dealership to try to get the loan and car transfer to our names- they were willing to sign the car over to us by making us repurchase it for 3k more than what was owed as well as they were planning to sign my mother in laws name on the title after she had passed away to sign the car over to us. They also ran my boyfriends credit to see what kind of vehicle they could get him approved for incase we decided to trade it In. This was a hard hit to his credit as they tried multiple banks for a loan. The whole buy here pay here thing Is a joke they would rather go through a bank than finance the car themselves. We had them do some Warranty work in the mean time, they had to car for over a week we paid the deductible and we got the car back. The issues we told them about were never fixed or addressed, the control arm needed to be replaced as well as it had a terrible oil leak/burned oil. It still made horrible squeaking and clicking sounds and we turned and we needed to constantly put more oil in it. They were supposed to have the car for a few days and ended up always having excuses for it not being done and they had it for over 2 weeks. After we got the car back before they would sign it over they told us it needed to be inspected and insured- we got that done the next day. We had already set up auto pay and gave them all the information they needed as well as gave them the title they claimed they needed to sell us the car. Weeks went by and we would not get in touch about signing it over to ourselves- we finally were able to speak to someone different and they tried to help us. We looked at another vehicle they had just gotten in, a truck that was $19,999. They told us they would do anything possible to get us in the truck since we had a great payment history with them. As well as told us they would give us $5500 trade in for the vehicle we still had that only had about 4k left on the loan. They gave us a 45 day temporary registration since they were closing until the following Wednesday and it was Friday. After we left once again they ran my boyfriends credit for 4 different banks looking for a loan. This again screwed up his credit since it was the second time in a few months he had multiple hard inquiry's on his credit report. The loan they got us was way out of the budget we had discussed so it was not doable. We got a call later that night saying they wanted the car back since it was their liability since the car was not in our name although this was the second time we tried to get the car in our name or trade it in. After about 2 weeks of going back and fourth with them they kept telling us they would work with us and never did- They ended up taking the car back although we paid over $11k towards it. They refused to sign the loan over to us or let us get the car registered in our names. Absolutely shady business practices- openly talking about forging my mothers in laws name on the title to sign it over- trying to resell the car to us to make more money instead of transferring the loan, just giving a 45 day registration tag they printed without making a copy or anything to make it legitimate, forcing us to buy the warranty and not fixing a single issue that should Have been covered ETC. Also they all lie to your face saying they are the owner or co owner when they are not, promising to work with you all while screwing you over every step of the way. It's a sad world we live in that these are common business practices.

This dealership is a class act, and that's rare among car dealers. However, the true test of a car…read moredealership is how they handle the customer when they have a problem. Dealing with people who are happy is easy, dealing with people who have a problem with their vehicle is a much harder feat. I had an issue with my brand new 2014 Subaru Forester and I truly feel that Mid Hudson Subaru did everything in their power to help me from initially attempting to fix the issue and then finally working with Subaru to replace the vehicle. Leadership starts from the top and Peter Maher, the owner, exemplifies that. Every promise he made me along the way, he honored. That's very respectable in my book. The manager, Kevin, is also caring, helpful and not your typical car dealer manager. Mid Hudson's sales team is great and Michelle is the best car salesperson i've ever dealt with. She knows the cars, doesn't play games, gives you a great price and makes buying a car an easy and pleasurable process. The service department is also really good. Rob Bosch is the manager and cares about his customers. I've dealt with him directly several times and the guy really wants to help you. I can't say enough good things about this dealership and I actually recently went back and bought my wife a Legacy.

They recently jacked up their oil change…read moreprices and I got to the dealership to find that they now have a 3% surcharge on credit cards on top of the jacked up prices. Would have been nice of them to tell me that before I showed up and surrendered my car to them. The things that made it attractive for me to take my car here for servicing in the past have gone by the wayside and I will not be coming back here again, either for service or to buy a new car. Stay away if you want service or pay the price.

I took it back in and they said it was going to cost me ANOTHER $1900 to fix the leak The mechanic said he never had seen a leak like this before. .Say what? What about the first time.? Aren't there UV dye kits to spot leaks.? Isn't this your job? If a mechanic doesn't know what they are doing then I think they should send you elsewhere , not keeping charging you until they figure out the problem! At least they should of reimburse me the $586 for work that In actuality I didn't need. At The Village Shop it's strictly amateur hour (and expensive hours at that!) * Michaels response to my review is sorely lacking. He or none of his team told me the extent of my power steering leak when I initially took my car in. I paid $586 and they happily sent me on on way with only fixing what they "thought" was wrong. At first, the secretary at the Drop Shop told me they couldn't find a leak. This kinda goes contrary to Michaels statement about l"eaks everywhere". If there were , how come nothing was said in the first place? Somebody is not on the same page .It seems suspicious at best and totally unprofessional at its worse.
