I ordered my Save The Date invites through Walgreens which wasn't the cheapest option but I figured it would be the most reliable and convenient. Unfortunately I was very wrong. Every single one of them was bent. The card-stock was also loaded into the printer incorrectly because it printed on an angle. Returning them was a straightforward process, however, returning something you never wanted to have to experience returning is still not a good experience. The cashier was polite. I would never recommend order invitations from Walgreens. read more

I called 2.5 hrs after text message that they had my Rx and it still wasn't ready. I'm pretty sick. I called Walmart on Gandy to transfer it and Walgreens didn't respond. I went to Walgreens and pharmacist said she transferred it this morning which was a lie because I called around 12-1. On my way to Walmart she said they were coming over as I was driving so Walgreens Pharmacist lied twice! Do not use Walgreens at MacDill and Gandy. read more

The worst pharmacy customer service I have ever experienced. At 9:00 am this morning when I stopped there I was told my wife's prescription would be ready after 11:30am. When my friend who was in the area stopped by to pick it up around 3.30 pm she was told the only prescription they had was picked up two days prior. I have been trying to get through to the pharmacy for 50 minutes. I keep getting transferred in their automated phone system. I emailed her doctor to call the prescription into another pharmacy. I will NEVER use this pharmacy again.! One star is too good a rating for them! read more

Worst Walgreens I've ever had to deal with. No one ever answers the phone. The customer service is beyond horrible.

Very disappointed with pharmacy service. The website gives you very ambiguous information as to the status of your rx. If you try to call you end up being on hold for 30 min or longer only to find out that that the rx you take regularly is out of stock and they don't know when more will be coming in. How is this caring about your health? The staff is overworked and the pharmacies are understaffed. read more

Not a great pharmacy. Been on hold 30 minutes trying to get a script doc called in 4 hours ago. What is the deal? Awful!

So disappointed in the pharmacy. Why can they not hire another person? It does not matter the time of day you will wait at least 30-40 minutes in line. This pharmacy is an absolute joke. Poor customer service. read more

You literally cannot make this up... We are here in Tampa coming in from Atlanta to get on a cruise ship. We need to be tested for Covid prior to getting on the cruise ship. No big deal. So we set up our appointment here at this Walgreens... The only test people through a drive-through so we walk up to the drive-through, and the pharmacy literally tells us that we have to be on some kind of a vehicle... And they tell us to go find a couple of scooters. Yes you are reading this right, scooters... In order for them to do our Covid test. read more

I have ordered medicine for a severe eye infection and can't drive there to pick up. My eyes are very swollen so I paid for Delivery and paid a tip for the courier. The medicine showed it would be delivered by 6PM yesterday and it shows Filled and waiting for Delivery yesterday. Never got delivered yesterday as originally promised. Called pharmacy twice last night, phone rings but no one ever picked up and no where to leave a message. Now the app shows to expect delivery by Nov 5??!! I need my medicine so called again today to Pharmacy dept, no one answered. Called store today and asked to speak to a manager, manager did not pick up the call. Unacceptable Walgreens!!! Avoid this store!!! read more

Came in on a Saturday night trying to get some prints for my daughters dorm room. Was having issues but Dawn came over and saved the day!!! I will use this Walgreens all the time due to how much Dawn helped my wife and me. It was refreshing to see an employee actually care about a customer and go above and beyond for a customer. Thank you!! read more

Picked up a prescription at Walgreens (315 W Platt St. Tampa) yesterday. Shane at the pharmacy was very helpful. Sadly, great customer service like he provided is not experienced at pharmacies often. Please thank Shane. read more

We had a good experience here. I needed to grab a gift bag for a present that I was giving to a friend at an event nearby. This location was just around the corner, so it was convenient. They have a decent sized parking lot so it was easy to get in and out. The store is laid out just like most others for this chain. There was a well-sized section for cards / gifts. I like that they sell bags with tissue already in it - super handy for a rush gift need like mine. The staff was very friendly and talked with me and my munchkin. They had a well organized store and were working on putting out Halloween items at the time. It looked nice and everything was easy to find. Overall: A Convenient store with easy gift options and nice staff. Quick in and out and got what I needed. read more

This is the absolute worst Walgreens for picking up prescriptions. The wait time is ridiculously long literally every single time! Switching pharmacies. read more

Customer service is terrible here! They have such a bad attitude. Wait times are atrocious! The pharmacist refuses to talk to patients ... just barks orders to the staff. The staff is worse than a teenager with the eye rolling & blatant lies to get people to just leave. So glad I switched to CVS! read more

Display is advertised like it's open 24 seven but closest at midnight I came here for nothing. I just arrived when the staff was leaving.

Walked here from my hotel to get a travel sized can of Axe body spray (because that's how I roll) and a birthday card, which is going to be late but it's the thought that counts. Anyway, I walked in and no fewer than three employees greeted me and offered assistance. I found everything I needed and checkout was fast and friendly. The store was clean and organized. Along with the service, I have to give this four stars. read more

Walgreens online won't let me post a comment on some vitamins that I purchased because they don't want customers to know where they are made. The photo online doesn't state it on the bottle however with the bottle in front of my face I clearly can read that THEY ARE MADE IN CHINA. They are deceiving customers in hopes that they don't notice. Totally disgusting! I took them back to the store. The ones I am talking about are the WALGREENS brand, I am not sure about the other ones. Buyer beware! read more

Sick, tired, or healthy this place willl challenge your patience. Unless you have time to waste waiting for assistance of any kind, AVOID this Walgreens. So disappointed. read more

They were super busy, evidently ALL day. I'm in from out of town and spoke with my local pharmacy to transfer just one day / pill to this location. I was repeatedly put on hold, so I left my convention and walked. After waiting in line at the actual pharmacy, I was mistakenly told my original pharmacy needed to call them AND I had to call or come back after 3:00 when the next pharmacist would be on duty. I called - again - on hold for over ten minutes. I understand understaffed and busy, but not misinformation AND not them understanding I am just too. Will NEVER use this location again read more

This review is based solely on the pharmacy. This is by far the worst pharmacy that I've ever filled prescriptions at and that's hard for me to say as I'm a pharmacist too and usually have sympathy for retail pharmacies. I called to try to give them my insurance info and they wouldn't take it over the phone. I was told just to bring it. Clearly taking it over the phone is a time saver. I told them my doctor called in an rx and it's probably on the voicemail and I will need it as soon as possible as it was for an emergent situation. They gave us a time and then when we got there it wasn't ready. I even got a text saying it was ready but only one item was ready. Not an efficient process or workers that are paying attention to detail. Paying attention to detail is a very important aspect of pharmacy and quality. I can't say if it's because the staff is overworked or overwhelmed but pharmacy is a business of customer service and doing what is right for your patients and they clearly do not care about their patients. I only had prescriptions called in because it was the closest open pharmacy to my home. I will never make that mistake again. In fact, getting it called in to a farther pharmacy with better service would take much less time anyway. read more

We went to the Walgreens on 2115 E Hillsborough Ave Tampa, Fl to pick up my pictures this evening and we were disappointe. The cashier was taken care of a customer that took forever, and the line was long. We were waiting patiently at the pickup counter for pictures. The cashier called for help, a man came out passed us 3 times. He proceeded to take care of a customer in line, then he told the cashier to go on break, she passed by us and asked if anyone was helping us, I told her No. We told her he passed us 3 times, and did not want to help us, and it's been 24 minutes waiting. He yelled at us saying someone coming, I said when tomorrow. We were upset! Poor customer service skills! No apologies, no care in the world!! We left!!! This Walgreens, needs to teach customer service to some employees!!! read more

IF I COULD RATE 0 STARS, I WOULD! By far the worst pharmacy I've used. I have to wait on a consistent basis for half an hour for the pharmacist to help me, even when I'm sitting in my car and push the "call" button. read more

Slow and incompetent workers. Pharmacy is terrible. Consistently a line at drive thru. Went to pick up a new prescription waited for 20 minutes for them to say they didn't have my script that was called in a week prior. Called Dr they had sent it over-pharmacy finally found it and then had the audacity to tell me it'd be another 2 hours for them to fill. read more

Wondering why they even have a drive thru? No one answers window for 20 mins. Then filling takes another 20 mins. ‍

This is the worst pharmacy in Tampa and possibly in all of America if that's saying anything. They're always out of your medication, if they do happen to have it, it still takes days to fill, or they've misplaced it and need to look for an hour to find it. They are the most unhelpful, rude staff which is highly frustrating not only during a pandemic but also in general because they're working in the medical field and carelessly doing their job. If you have any serious medical problems you will want a different pharmacy if you value getting your timely medication and proper care. I have never written a Yelp review because I usually am not bothered by much but they have wasted way too much of my time and energy. Walgreens would be much better off just shutting this location down. P.S I wrote this while on hold for 20 minutes which then they answered only to hang up on me so :-) read more

Unbelievably rude service from whoever answers the phone in the pharmacy. Will cut you off and speak extremely harshly to you unprovoked. Not the type of experience you want when trying to ask simple questions about medications that are critical to your health. read more

Please answer your phone , pharmacy!!!! Every time I call I am on hold for 45 minutes then get hung up on.

This shit show is a nightmare. Pharmacist should be fired!! I am a physician and she tried to tell me my meds that I have been on 6 yrs is "a new med and needs ordered"... Also my text from Walgreens said "available for pick up 10:40 am". At 4:00 pm she said "thats just an estimate "- she got confrontational with me telling me she was "also a doctor"...please...you count pills at a chain store...if you were smart you would have fixed the problem in stead of lying to me. What a fraud!!!! Do yourself a favor and go to Publix. I am pulling all my family scripts. read more

The pharmacy here is an unpleasant experience. Every time I go in to get my medications there is an issue that I have to wait for them to figure out. I go to another Walgreens closer to my house but this one is closer to my work and is used for only one medication. Switching everything over to the other pharmacy now. This Walgreens always tells me my insurance isn't on file or that they don't see any medication in my profile when the other Walgreens never has any issues with my insurance information or medication scripts. Very very disappointed and surprised this pharmacy still has business. Not to mention the pharmacist is rude and would not allow me to leave and pick up my medication at a different location. She said "I am very good with insurance. If I can't figure it out then no one can. Trust me" when I said I was going to go to the other Walgreens pharmacy to ensure they still had all of my insurance information because she claimed they did not. Overall, horrible experience and I am disappointed in this location. Do better. read more

My God this place has gotten SO BAD. No one that works there wants to help or get off their phone or do their job. Photos are always lost or not processed. Prescriptions are always backed up for days. FedEx drop off- no one comes to help. HORRIBLE. Newest experience- Swearing in front of customers because the "shift lead" was mad at a coworker and didn't come to help at the photo center. We are doomed as a society. read more

Pharmacy staff 5 stars. The one star rating is for the leadership of Walgreens for poor management in not staffing properly. We frequent Walgreens on Platt a couple of times a week mostly for the pharmacy. The pharmacists and technicians are always exceptional. I have found them to be knowledgeable; helpful; and pleasant. A special mention for Cali - she is always willing to go the extra step to help anyway possible. I trust this team of people. This is also where I get my flu shot and pneumonia shot. This store is open 24 hours a day, but does not have a 24 hour pharmacy. And this store is never staffed properly. It is incredible to watch how hard the pharmacy has to work to take care of customers. They are always focused on the work. This store is very busy. We notice that this seems to be a common thread at other Walgreens in South TAMPA. You can't even get help on the phone. The store on Henderson - evening staff has a history of just letting the phone ring and literally hanging up rather than connecting a customer to the pharmacy. In person, they are rude - including the manager. I would ask the leadership of Walgreens to please staff properly for customers and out of respect and care for your employees! Take a deep dig into the Henderson store at night and figure out what is wrong there. Best wishes- read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever used. My medications are always delayed. Whenever I try to call, they either don't answer or put you on hold and forget to pick up again. Also to management, Toniann is extremely rude and has terrible customer service. read more

Although the pharmacy staff appear very nice, the service is so extremely slow. I was the second in line at the drive up and after 15 minutes elected to drive away rather than wait for my prescription. I plan to change my pharmacy to Publix which is much more efficient and friendly. read more

It's really hard to believe the level of incompetence here. It is EXTREMELY difficult, as a physician, to call in a prescription. I will never use this pharmacy again for my patients. read more

This is the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. From the pharmacy to the front, the place is a complete disaster. Every time I have been to this pharmacy there are issues. Every. Single. Time. They can't fill the prescription because they have to call the doctors office, they can't fill it because they don't have the medication, they can't fill it because the pharmacist is out on the floor (seriously). I've never had a worse pharmacy experience. It's unbelievable how dysfunctional they are. Avoid at all cost. The store itself is a dirty mess. It's close to home so we have stopped here for quick buys. One time we needed hamburger buns and all the ones on their shelf were moldy!! All of them!!! Come on!! If you have to come here, run in and run out and don't use the pharmacy. read more

This Walgreens is great, and since it's nearby and open 24 hours, it's straight up amazing! You never know when you'll need to head into Walgreens for band-aids or even just a soda to brighten your day -- yes, sometimes getting a soda brightens my day. The staff here is always very nice and helpful. They usually greet you when you walk in and are more than willing to help you out if you need any assistance with anything. The pharmacy staff is amazing and always very kind and prompt when I go in. The location makes it a great place to stop in if you're heading into downtown and need something at basically any hour. read more
