I can't quite place it, but this Target isn't spectacular, but it's fine. The layout of this area is a little odd (at least to me) as I'm not used to Target occupying the top level of a multi-story building, but once you're inside it's familiar enough. The store just felt really cramped, yet missing a lot at the same time. This has to be the worst Target store I've ever been in. The selection of merchandise is terrible (for some reason it's way worse than most of the Targets I've ever shopped at). Things are laying in the aisles. It's just a mess. I needed a hard side suitcase for business purposes and the only one that met my needs had a handle that didn't work. The parking lot is dark and feels unsafe. The elevators are slow and at least one of three doesn't work. The walkways and the stairs by the parking lot are absolutely gross. Not sure what else to say. Basically, it's nasty and not typical of most Target stores. read more

Target has fallen off. Went to look at electronics. Computers, Video Games, Laptops, etc. they had about six Xbox Games and 0 laptops. Their entire case was empty. Mission: FAILED. There's a Best Buy across the street but maybe people are all migrating to shop online? Prefer to type a bit and see how the laptops feel before purchasing one for thousands of dollars. Any day is a good day to shop at Target. However, today was special because it was the 2nd drop of the Future Collective with Jenee Naylor. Her collection is perfect for the summer with linen looks and bold prints that are both chic and iconic. The only downfall is that the pieces are selling like hotcakes and not available online. So, needless to say, I left without finding any pieces in my size, so the hunt is on. I feel like the price point for most of the items in her collection is reasonable priced in comparison to other brands carried in the store. Morning stop to pick up some decongestant for my northern colleague who seems to have an allergy to something here in Tampa. The store is laid out interesting. Sure, there's the CVS area with all sorts of drugs and personal care. And yet, the stuff we wanted was across the store in a different area. Other than that, the store is clean and bright. Stopped in with my daughter for some back to school shopping. We missed a few things on her list and saw on the app that they had four of what we were looking for. We went to the aisle it was supposed to be on and the shelf was empty. I could not find a worker to ask for help to see if they had any in the back. I ended up ordering on the app from another target as it said it was in stock. We also checked out the girls clothes section and found a couple of cute jeans for my daughter as well. What a score! The three pairs she wanted were all marked down. We went to check out at the self checkout and it dinged for a team member to come help us. Jamie came over and explained it just needed for her to check the price of one of the jeans we had and had imputed the price in. She was very pleasant and a breath of fresh air. read more

Social distancing, and masks are requested, but not required. I still wear mine though. This is our first time at this location, and it's really nice. The store is really kept clean and organized. I was able to find pillows for my daughter and pajamas for my grandkids. I also bought my grandson some more uniform pants for school. There is also a CVS Inside, and other stores near by. I've always liked this Target. It's painfully annoying to get in and out of during rush hour, but that's Dale Mabry's fault - not Target's. I've grocery shopped here but I mostly come in for random things. I typically buy bathing suits here still because I know the sizing. You can go to pharmacy, get an eye exam & walk around the store with a Starbucks drink. Get some lunch at the cafe. The Target app called Circle is great with discounts & you can find what aisle a product you are looking on the aisle. If you don't time to shop for something, order online & drive up. Shopping for a graduation gift, I checked online first to find out what this location had in stock. I decided to give a coffee mug, as this particular grad likes coffee, and personalize it. Arriving to the store, I began looking for a section which contained gifts for grads. Not finding one, I asked a store associate who kindly informed me that the store had grad decorations, but not a specific area for grad gifts. I made my way to household goods and the mugs section, and found the very last two mugs, which were not at all my faves, but occasion appropriate (see photo). I bought one of them but found a different one at the Waters location, and ended up returning the mug that i purchased here. Love Target and when recently out of town this is where I went to get supplies for the week. Location is around 4 miles from the airport. The store is on the second floor, so stairs or elevator is required. Parking is in an adjacent garage. My visit on a Tuesday around an hour before close. They had business, but by no means busy. I saw nothing out of the ordinary and I could have been transported to any Target USA and never known the difference. The store was neat in appearance. After getting swim supplies of Gatorade, snacks and milk we were pretty much done. There was one particular protein bar my son and I could not locate. A staffer walked us to it and was happy to help. Checkout was slow with only two registers. Unfortunately the self checkout was available but I had over the amount of items. When finally helped the clerk was meh. No issues with processing my credit card. Items were bagged and I was on my way. For a first time visit A OK. 3.5 read more

I don't frequent this location given its a drive from home. I predicted Target to become WalMart within 5 years. Going into year 3 of this prediction has only been validated. The front end person mindlessly shouting "red cards red cards red cards" and clapping while saying it to a team member WHILE checking out a guest is beyond tacky, its unprofessional. I expect that nonsense at 3rd retailers or WalMart. The culture of Target is beyond repairable. The pay alone will not fix it. Its dysfunctional and disconnected, no wonder the turn over rate is so high. Store is more updated than others and felt neglected. Sadly its not just this store, its company wide. Toxic management yields low quality employees. Low quality employees yields massive turn over rates. Go into a WalMart with the expectations Target has with less staff, thats the logic the CEO is applying. read more

Target: Go in with the intention of buying a few items and walk out with a cart load an hour later. This is my "go-to" Target store. Vast, well-appointed, clean and with great selection of merch is how I think of this particular Target store. The customer service staff and other employees are quite pleasant and helpful. The layout is great for me and makes sense and flows (like most Target stores). There is some cool local merchandise including local sports team gear and the home section has some pretty cool stuff to peruse. Certain end caps of the departments have "clearance" merchandise which may behoove you to check out. This location has a Starbucks and a snack bar area if hunger pangs strike in the midst of your shopping spree. If you're a frequent Target shopper, get the Red Card. Also, get the Cartwheel app to obtain savings/deals on select merchandise. Shop away! read more

Convenient location just of US 301... I've always liked Target stores. They are much quieter and have better lighting than Walmart stores, and I feel like the products here are of a higher quality. The super Targets, like this one, also have a full grocery section that includes fresh produce and meats & poultry. I find the meats and poultry to be overpriced compared to Walmart, and they do not look as appetizing either. Seemed like the meats were treated with something to keep its color longer. Their are values and quality to be gained elsewhere here. Annie's Organics usually go on sale now and again, and their mac & cheese can be purchased for $.99! That's a huge savings next to other stores. There are other areas in food for savings as well - just have to keep eyes out for specials. Health and beauty item costs are competitive, and clothing & housewares usually pretty decent for the price. read more

I saw the reps speak to multiple people (with different backgrounds than me) when they passed but only looked at me without speaking. It felt pretty discriminating. All in one shopping at this Target location if you are not going on a major grocery shopping trip. Decent meat and produce selection but nothing like a Super Target. This location does have a Starbucks inside. Parking and entrance is a little strange located on the second floor of a parking garage with a Whole Foods on the bottom. Just visited this Target location on December 27th! The back of store was still stocked full of 50% off holiday anything. We snagged some great deals on all sorts of items that really were not holiday related like raw nuts that I always use. Huge plus, since this is a coastal Florida location I have seen a decent selection of bathing suits available all year. read more

The team leader of the night I went to Target was absolutely so rude for no valid reason. She not only reprimanded me but she also laid her hands on me and pushed me out of the way. I am a team member of target and was helping out a fellow member from another location who was new to the job and had asked for my help. As I was going to help him enter my discount number, the team leader proceeded to tell me in a rude tone "who are you?" and then shove me out of the way. All of this was completely unnecessary as she could have easily just talked to me and asked me what was the issue, she could have told me to step back, or question me as to what I was doing, instead of proceeding with what she did. I love target but she ruined my whole experience. The food is great and prices are good. A few employees, however, need to be reevaluated or retrained. read more

The remodel is an ADHD HELL! I just went and checked out the remodel. I have shopped here quite happily for years (since it was built). I will now drive further to use my red card, or just go to other stores and forfeit the 5%. The remodel has turned this place into a garage sale. Things are not grouped logically, many aisles are sacrificed for open space table browsing, and the entrance is all about cheap clothing. The strategy of dragging a customer through lots of impulse opportunities on their way to get to what they need has gone too far here. For a big opening like this, there should be maps and floor staff. Both are lacking. I had to ask for help twice and three things I came for are not there anymore. I am a HUGELY disappointed (and now lost) customer. read more

Pretty nice Target on Dale Mabry across from competitor Walmart and above Whole Foods Market. There is a large parking garage with plenty of spaces. On busy days, you may be parking far away, but never too far! The store is clean and well lit. Everything has always been very well stocked in my shopping experience. The food is fresh and employees are helpful. The cashiers are pretty efficient, despite one tonight who kept telling the woman ahead of me that she "doesn't work as a cashier and is normally stocking shelves" when she experienced trouble entering coupons. Regardless, a nice Target to check out. Keep in mind, this is not a Super Target! read more

One of the first things I ever find when I'm visiting or move to a new city is a Target. It's a life essential. The fact that you get a great multi-tiered garage with an elevator for this location is great. You don't have to walk a miles-long parking lot in unpredictable weather, but certain spots in the garage are a bit dark due to sparse lighting. While not the largest Target I've ever been in, this place is always immaculate and the staff is always extremely friendly. On numerous occasions, working who are restocking shelves have stopped mid-task to offer assistance. On other occasions, "closed" stations have taken one more customer to get folks out quickly, or management will open more lanes during peak times. If that wasn't enough, i happen to have an affinity for the dollar spot. You don't really NEED anything in this section, ever, but for a $1 it's always fun. The "Super Target" section is always immaculate and well stocked, except for the produce area. There are some "big hitter" items such as bananas, but if you plan on doing your grocery shopping for the week, you may have to swing by an actual grocery store to find sufficient fresh items. I really need the city of Tampa to sort out whatever debacle is going on with Dale Mabry and 275 so I don't have to wait till off-hours to come to this place. read more

The reasons why I keep returning to this location: 1. They (unlike the Target closer to my house) carry my husband's favored soda. 2. They tend to carry my husband's favorite breakfast bars. 3. They have covered parking, which is useful during rainy season. Why I hate this location: the bathrooms have been consistently the filthiest I have seen in any store of this size. I mean, they are worse than most gas stations. So gross. When I see a bathroom so filthy, I know that management is not paying attention to the right things. I question how sanitary the refrigerated cases are or any of the areas out back. I try to avoid buying any foodstuff here that isn't well wrapped from the manufacturer. read more

Hi I'm Kenzie, and I'm a target addict. I shop at target pretty exclusively and go at LEAST once a week, typically more. I love the sales, cartwheels, and deals they have for red card holders. As well as the organization of their stores. This being said, it pains me to have to give this Target a lower rating than I would for other stores. To me the only main problem with this location is getting in and out of it. To access the Target you have to park in the garage or take the elevator up to the second level. Admittedly, on my first visit i thought this was pretty cool. However, while a garage is great for our bipolar weather, it loses its useful factor when you try to find a parking spot and fail (because this location is ALWAYS busy), or when you almost get hit 5 times just while entering due to the soccer moms trying to fit their giant Suburban's in a relatively tight parking area. Upon exiting the garage and leaving the shopping area, your only options are exiting onto Dale Mabry (and unless you have insane luck, turning left at that light is gonna take you a minute) or driving through the complex to turn right onto Spruce (no left turns). Depending on the time of day, both options are gonna be pretty jammed making your "fun trip to target" a little more frustrating. Or maybe i just have a bit of road rage! read more

In my travels, I often shop (No! You don't say!) and Target is one of my favorite shops to stop at. This Target is located at the corner of 275 & Dale Mabry amid a lot of annoying traffic construction, which makes it difficult to get into and sometimes out of. That being said, the store itself is rather nice. It's a mid format, meaning NOT a super Target but a store that has a cold goods and some fresh foods. It has a good clothing and hardware, as well as pharmacy and everything else. They have a large selection of everything you'd expect at a target. I love their covered parking too! read more

Target is one of my absolute favorite stores. Today's experience left me disgusted. Initially, the customer service was amazing; as always!...... Until I went over to the Beauty section. I was in search of a particular item that was recommended by someone I know. I went in my bag to retrieve my phone where I had the description stored in the notes app on my cellphone. I put my phone back in my back and went in the direction of the product. Once I got to the correct aisle I had forgotten the name of it. So, I went back into my bag to get my phone to double check. This time, instead of putting my phone in my bag again, I put in my back pocket. I did this because I know that we (Black people) are usually watched and profiled while we're shopping.... or just living. Also, with my memory, I knew that I would need to check my notes for the name of the product again. I proceeded through the Beauty section in search of another item. While walking, a young lady popped up at the end of an aisle asking me if I needed help. I told her what I needed and she directed me to the item. I assumed this was part of the amazing customer service.... until a security guard met me in the aisle. He pretended as if he was scanning an item but it was so obvious that he was sent there to watch me. Out of the the many emotions that I was experiencing at the moment, uncomfortable was most prevalent. In an attempt to ease my emotions- I called over my spouse who was waiting on me at the end-cap. As we walked away, I turned down the aisle and the young lady who "offered assistance" was watching me. At that moment I could feel anger, disgust and rage. I'm 40 years old and I've encountered this type of profiling on many different occasions. This incident, for some reason, left me feeling defeated and disappointed Lately, we've been practicing spending our money outside of large corporations but Target still remained one of our favorite places to go. Today, that changed. Target has been added to that list. Sorry; not sorry. Lesson learned. read more

So my wife and I paid this Target a visit and got more than what we bargained for when the cashier informed us of more coupon deals to help us save more. We ended up saving more than $40 on essential goods because of her. The unique thing about this Target is that it has a small deli in the front like Sam's club. The only downside to this store is that you need to take the elevator since its on the second floor, and most of their electronics are listed at full retail. Ok I absolutely love Target and between this one and the one down on Gandy I do prefer to come to this Target. It seems like the layout of this one flows so much better and it may just be perception however I feel as if this one has a larger selection of products. The larger selection of products may be a curse in disguise seeing as though I always come out of there with more than what's on my list. The customer service and employees at this location are pleasant and have been helpful the few times that I needed assistance. The fact that it is above Whole Foods and that HomeGoods is in the same shopping center also give this Target points. What knocks off a star for this review is the parking. The parking layout is horrendous. If you try to go here during rush hour or on a Sat/Sun morning then you can hang it up. You will end up driving around the parking garage fighting for a parking space. And when you are done shopping you will have to fight to get out of the garage and back onto Dale Mabry. Weekdays during the daytime is the best time to shop at this Target if you don't want to fight the parking. read more

Very large and upscale type of target. I love being able to park even when it is raining and being covered via the garage. Only issue is that some things that you will find at other neighborhood Targets are not stocked here...especially when it comes to potty training merchandise. I have no problem with most products or prices. The store is always in disarray & has a poor Floorplan for loving items quickly. My visits are out of necessity only. I had a terrible customer service experience today at this Target. I went to get some bed sheets for my daughter and we found this stand marked as discounted with the sheets at 18.00. The stand was full with the same discount written on al the levels. We went to pay and the scanner said 54. The cashier called a manager , Amauri, who dismissed us by saying it may had been a customer who left the merchandise in the wrong place. When we showed the picture we took of the stand filled with the same sheets/ labels, this Amauri acted in a very rude manner and said that it was not his problem and walked away from me. He may need to be sent back to training. His attitude is far from what we expect while shopping at Target. read more
