An amazing, wide selection of possibly everything but for this visit it was specifically for vacation-wear. Great deals and sales were happening that I ended up purchasing a lot more than what I intended doing in for and I'm not even mad at it. Customer service at the register was lovely, trying to help you save a few extra bucks by signing up to a few things, love that for me. I have been shopping at Kohl's for years. I buy 90% percent of the time. The coupons help a great deal. The only draw back is they took all the price checkers out. Use the app sorry I have enough apps on my phone I really don't want another. But all in all it is always a good experience. read more

As an ugly guy, clothes shopping is something that I have to be held at gunpoint to do . (My mom thinks I need as many pairs of jeans as Tony Stark needs Iron Man suits. Mark 50?) However, there are a select few clothing stores that I can tolerate or even like shipping at such as Kohls, JC Penney, and Old Navy. This Kohls on Van Dyke is the closest one to me. It is generally clean and well stocked. They seem to update their inventory somewhat frequently. It carries name brand stuff like Under Armor, Nike, and also brands like Croft and Barrow which usually is a good fitting and cost effective company.They generally have some sort of sale on certain items whenever I visit. I cant really speak about the ladies items or household stuff. The main negative about this store is the lack of cashiers. No matter what time or day you go, the line is unbearably long. Sometimes, the Kohls card asks you to type the whole number into the console which is super annoying . Half of the cashiers are rude or not very helpful. Overall, I thinks its a good place to get essential clothing items especially for men. read more

I like Kohl's in that it's close to home and open late and the layout is nice. They also have great coupons and the Kohl's cash promotions several times throughout the year. I'm even a rewards card holder which helps in getting special deals and promos throughout the year based on amount of purchases. Also like that now they have purchase online and pickup in store. My most recent visit was with my mother and daughter to get some Koolaburra by UGG boots they had on sale -- this was my mom's birthday gift to my daughter since she wanted these for our upcoming trip to Paris. Before heading to the store, I was able to check inventory online and ensure they had the correct size in stock so that the trip wasn't wasted....which I love. Because how irritating is it to go to a store for something only to find that they don't have your size available, then the search begins. So we get the boots and head to the checkout area. My mom notices a sign on the register that is promoting opening a Kohl's charge card account and getting 35% off of your purchase. So she tells the clerk that she wants to do this so that she can save 35% off of the boots. The clerk agrees and begins the process of application of the card for my mom. The card was approved and the checkout process begins....when time for the clerk to scan the coupon to take off the discount, she cannot get the discount to reflect. She uses her earpiece to chat w/someone in store and ask to which she's advised that it's only on non-name brand items that the 35% is good on. This irritates me since nowhere on that sign did it say this. I explain to the clerk that we'd like to discuss w/a manager as this was not explained by herself or displayed on the signage they have at the register (or at least the part of the signage that's visible). She apologizes and calls for the manager. I explain to Bryanna, the manager, that this was a hit to my mom's credit score that didn't need to happen if this was explained when we originally stated the whole reason of the card opening was to save the 35% off the boots. Bryanna apologizes for the mishap and totally got what I was explaining. She immediately said that she would make the situation right and take the 35% off due to the inconvenience and lack of this being explained. Our total was just under the $50 requirement for Kohl's cash but she said that because she felt bad about the experience she would also give us the $10 Kohl's cash to help in making the situation right. Despite the irritation level that this experience started out with, Bryanna made it right and clearly showed that she's focused on the customer experience and customer retention. What I would've rated less stars because of how I thought this was turning out, I'm now rating 5 stars just because despite the error on their part, they made it right and satisfied the customer. That right there makes them gain my business again and again. Keep up the good work Kohl's .... and you're definitely training your Managers well w/the right focus. read more

Kohl's - Department Stores Near Me - LUTZ, Florida

I like Kohl's and even got a Kohl's card since I pay off the purchases monthly. This location is laid out well and has a good selection of home goods, clothing, jewelry, toys, luggage, and electronics. The parking lot is spacious and has enough to accommodate Black Friday traffic. There are two sets of registers, one on the men's clothing side and one on the women's side. Customer service and the bathrooms are on the women's side. Layout is intuitive and inventory is generally high enough to always find your size in clothing in conjunction with all the other items mentioned earlier. In our most recent visit, we had an issue with a store credit. The cashier had to call corporate, whom took 15 minutes and a whole lot of questions later to tell us that there was no credit. We had not used the credit so we were disappointed, but we decided to address the issue with corporate later. The store manager went above and beyond and gave us a small discount to make up for the lost time and overall issue. Customer service is not an amenity many stores or employees have anymore, but the cashier and manager did more than they had to this instance. We are very appreciative and gives us more reason to continue to shop here. We like the Kohl's cash we get as well and though prices aren't always the best, it balances out in the end. read more

I used to shop at Kohl's all the time. They put more rules on the coupons they issued. Instead of Kohl's cash really being Kohl's cash it became where you had to spend a certain amount in order to redeem it. Also, in the time of COVID, they still have their dressing rooms closed. I was told I could bring back what I don't want. So I take home 10 bathing suits to bring back 9 I don't want ? Sounds dumb. Macy's and Dillards have opened their dressing rooms quite some time ago. Seems to me Kohl's can too. It will be a while, if I ever even come back here. read more

The epitome of just okay, with the shining stars being the efficient cashiers at the check-out lines (note-NOT the Customer Service cashiers, however). I never come here, but recently I didn't feel like dealing with a mall, and wanted shorts, so I figured this would be a quick stop. Well, like all good shopping trips, I ended up with jeans,dress pants, unmentionables, and no shorts. Feeling exhausted after all that hard shopping, I did not try on absolutely everything, and hence had to go return a couple items. Torturous. Standing in line behind four other poor souls, with one Customer Service cashier, who finally looks up and calls for another one to come assist. Unfortunately, that dear girl had to ask for help on every transaction she was doing. When I finally made it up to the front, I mentioned that I wanted to pay off my current balance that I had accrued from my very first Kohl's trip. "Oh, you can do that at any cashier - it doesn't need to be done here", I was told. Nope, not exactly - when I went to check out with some new items, the cashier told me "You can only pay it off if you know exactly what your existing balance is". Okay - quick - what's your credit card balance? Of course you don't know - nobody does! That is so ridiculous to me, and of course I wasn't going to wait again in the current torturous "Customer Service" line. TL; DR - Paid off my balance via check and snail mail, and won't go back. read more

I am quite pleased that I do have a department store within 2 miles of my own house. So I shop online at Kohl's and pick up in the store. When I go into the store to pick up my items of course I can cruise the isles and pick up the other a few sale items so I understand how retailing works. I've had a great experience every time I've gone my order has been ready within two hours Usually get an email drive over show your ID your barcode you're in it's done picked up it's already paid for it's a very neat experience and I do take it vantage of it often. Sign up for Cole's account get extra points get you 20% off get your five dollar coupons it's all helpful. Parking is easy there are spots upfront for online pick up for families with children and of course parking for handicapped. read more

This store is always a nightmare. Rude customer service, bad selection, and never anyone to help. Went in today to do an Amazon return and was told they could help me at customer service. Immediately after she said she had the ability to do it and could, she said she wouldn't and had me walk across to the other side of the store for a two second return. Got that done and go to leave, realize I needed a necklace chain. Walked back in and noticed the ugly Sephora took up the space where the jewelry folks used to be, and had to walk around half the store to find a single person to chase down and beg for guidance. She said it was somewhere on the other side of the store, so I made the trek back. I found a few pieces of cheap jewelry and a tiny case with sunglasses primarily inside. I scoffed, ripped up my kohls cash, and left. Very disappointed at what Kohls has become, they were at least reliable for a good necklace chain and I can't even get that there anymore. That'll be my last time considering Kohl's for an option while shopping for anything. read more

Kohl's for me is hit and miss. This one, despite its promising new facade and location, was a miss. The store seemed empty. The shelves were stocked but they just didn't have the selection other locations have. I usually look at their Lauren Conrad, Apt 9, Calvin Klein and the juniors section. Nothing caught my eye. Stopped in to pay a bill, and got sucked in because I saw a sweater I liked! I love going through their sales racks, because you can find some phenomenal deals. They're carrying high end brands in their makeup departments, Mid range designers in the clothing departments and specialty items all over the stores. Kohl's is truly a fun place to shop! read more

I always save when I go here. I don't think I've ever gone here and not discover one thing if not everything I picked out wasn't magically on sale. I wish there was more variety, their stock fluctuates wildly and one day you can't find a short and the next you can't find pants. This time I couldn't find a skirt. At all. There is also something to be said of the dressing rooms, crowded and clothes everywhere. I don't want to lead you completely wrong though, the people who work here are very nice and know how to navigate this maze of a store and I see them trying to keep up with the ever piling clothing thrown about the dressing rooms and tge misplaced items strewn about the store constantly. read more

I enjoy Kohl's and I think this one was pretty nice. We were able to find what we were looking for and there were so many sales going on! Walking through the store was easy to do since the aisles were open and not cluttered. We were able to find the items we had in mind and with the help of the very visible signs we could tell the sale price without having to ask! They do have a bunch of self scanners throughout the store just in case you need to check an item if it had been misplaced. I liked being able to use out coupons with the sale items as well-we saved a bunch of money! read more

I'm unsure how I feel about Kohl's. On one hand, it is awesome to have things always on sale, or at least appear to be. On the other hand, I think I would just rather know the actual price, than to see a digital display showing me suggested retail vs. their "sale" price. There are good deals to be found, so I guess this is more just a preference on my part. I do love their huge selection of clothing, and they usually have some good brands to go along with their proprietary stuff. We signed up for the Kohl's card, and that is always nice as it allows for extra discounts every time you shop. My other issue with Kohl's is just the overall lack of cashier help. I can't recall a time I have ever shopped here where I didn't have to wait at least 5-10 minutes just to get to the cashier. Many times only one is open, they are forced to call backups, and even then, the lines progress slowly. In the world of retail, where Target always runs employees to the rescue for checkout, it is just a bit of a downer. All this to say, it is not always my favorite store to shop in, but I know many times I will find a good deal, and that makes it all worth it in the end. read more

I don't generally write reviews, but this was so disheartening I needed to share. I have been doing Amazon returns at Kohl's for the last year or so, for those that don't know on some days you can receive $5 Kohl's Cash for your returns. I noticed over the last few weeks that I was receiving a 25% off coupon, while everyone around me received $5. After waiting around one day, I noticed this typically was the case with all Asian-Americans, specifically Indians. There is a Black American woman with a septum piercing that works the Amazon return area that laughs at people when she hands over the 25% coupon. One day there was a newer person there, so I decided to ask. Apparently, they were told by one of their seniors to manually override the returns coupon for Indians, so they'd receive 25%. I get it, someone with my skin color abused the system, but to target an entire group like this is very sickening and disheartening, Kohl's. You can spin this any way you want, but this is racism. I will no longer be shopping here as I can't support an organization that encourages this behavior. Shame on you, Kohl's. read more

Kohl's Is a mid-line department store. In general they are overpriced, but they have dome redeeming qualities. They have a gairly large selection and have specialty sections, like a petite department, within the women's department. if you believe the television ads, every week is their best sale ever! In point of fact, if you watch theit sale items, you can get some great buys. Take some extra time to shop their sale racks when you have 20 or 40 percent off and you can get a $70.00 dresd for $8.00! Maybe it's jus t me, but this type of savings warrents some extra time. Another good point is that they take almodt everything back. It foesn't matter ig you have had it a week or a year. Ig you have the reciept and item is unused, they will take it back. If the return is over 30 days old it will be credited to your Kohl's charge card or you will receive a store credit, not cash. They also have some great items that are available only online, so don't forget online shopping and use the same discounts. Everyone loves clothes and bargains, next sale check it out. Nah, does a review for Kohls really matter? Well I can say this location is weak. I know a store can get messy and maybe some items are marked incorrectly however it seems to be in any of the sale item racks for men nothing there is marked correctly which is a bit frustrating when you're trying to shop. You are able to find a scanner and check prices yourself but I don't think as a consumer you should have to , they just need to update their sale items so you know what you're spending. read more

I was hesitant to go here after being loyal to the Brandon location, however I was pleasantly surprised with this one!!! The staff was extremely generous with coupons and I saved $194.00 on a $108.00 purchase. Love that they have a junior section in addition to a "Juice Couture", "LC", and all the other designer clothing in separate sections. Not only do I love this store, I lost my iPhone there two days ago and they were beyond helpful. Realistically I never thought I would get my phone back, but they found it and kept it at customer service for me until I came back for it. Kohl's should understand people can easily do comparison shopping---which apparently they do not. I went to Kohl's today to look for some new blouses/tops. I was disappointed to discover that they do not have a women's department. They have Juniors and Misses and Petites but what they're calling "women's" is actually Plus. When I went back to check the Misses area to see if they had just blended the clothing in, I found that the Misses sizing stops at "L" or size 12 (depending upon the manufacturer). Thinking I had just missed the racks in the Plus area (which is labeled "Women's"), all of the sizing started at 2X. How can you not have sizes between a 12 and 2X? I wasn't able to find anyone to help me but after all my searching, I wasn't able to find anything that qualified as an actual "Women's" size. Where were the 14, 16, 18, 18W, 20W/1X sizes? I'll certainly never shop there - they don't carry my size! read more

The worst customer service ever. From the floor sales person to the customer service desk to the assistant manager. I took off time to run to the store at 9 am because it showed online that an item was available at the Lutz location. I got there and it was nowhere to be found. I asked a the customer service desk and they referred me to a lady named Minnie. Told me to go meet Minnie in the toys department. Stood around for 5 minutes and she never showed up. Asked another sales associate who was walking by and she radioed Minnie to find that she is unpacking items in the bedding department. I waited another 5 minutes and no show. Finally walked over to bedding and she's still over there unpacking. Had no plans on meeting me in the toys department. Talked to the assistant manager named Katie and she said the item was probably in the delivery truck and they are in the process of unpacking. Well then Why did the website say that there were 12 of the items available in store? If I stood in store and ordered it for pickup in store then surely someone will have to locate the item for me while I wait for it, correct? Nope. No one wanted to locate the item. Everyone was too lazy to go and look for the item. I was so pissed with the poor service that I will never go back there again. Just a bunch of hill billies who have no customer service whatsoever.
