I stopped in after hearing such great things about this store, and I'm so glad I did! They have an amazing selection, the store is super well organized, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I went early in the morning, so it was nice and quiet. They have a great variety of sneakers, women's clothing, and men's T-shirts. I ended up snagging a pair of Vans, Doc Martens, three men's tees, shorts and a cropped shirt--all for under $80! Such a steal! I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend checking this place out if you love finding great pieces at great prices! read more

Great experience here. We are not really thrifters so this was our first experience. The store is clean and well organized. The even have fitting rooms available for trying on to make sure that fit is right before you buy. The pieces are in great shape and the pricing is actually excellent! Loved the variety of clothing. read more

I love this store...they carry some of my favorite brands: Tory Burch, Madewell, Jcrew etc..and the staff is friendly & helpful. Molly L. took the time to understand my taste and offered thoughtful suggestions without being pushy. She even showed me a few hidden gems I never would have found on my own--and I ended up leaving with pieces I absolutely love! read more

Great place to buy if you don't require a certain brand. But don't waste your time selling anything to them. I took 6 pairs of $50 jeans to them that were never worn and had the tags still on them. I got $3 a piece. They marked them up over 600% and had them on the rack for $20 a piece. Next time they go to charity. read more

The business restructured THE, the atmosphere and also the displays differently in that store when you walk in at least you can have a big space to walk in as people come in with big bags and not knock out other clothes that are on hangings and it's very structured. It's very very like it goes by sizes. Everything is in its place. It's actually very structured wise. It's beautiful when I walked in there. I was surprised the last time I walked in there before that it was I was trying to dodge the places where you hang your clothes and it was right more into the place where you enter the store and now this time is really taking interest in the safety of their customers by not knocking everything over. Good job. read more

Love this store! So cute with really great quality clothing and prices. The music is always fire too!

Always, prompt and professional in how they help customers. Great money in exchange for slightly worn clothing in great shape.

Main tip: Don't waste your time trying to sell your clothes to them. Complete waste of time, they don't text you when the offer is ready and most clothing is rejected. What they do offer is maybe 10% of what they then mark it for sale. Several pieces I've purchased from them years ago have been rejected when I tried to sell them back. They do have some good sales, which is the best time to buy. They also have some items with original tags on them. Make sure you check your items for stains and holes. You can often find brand new clothes at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross at prices below what Uptown marks their used clothes at, so you might do better elsewhere. Goodwill and Salvation Army are also usually lower priced. I haven't given up on this store yet.... read more

Good selection of casual and athletic wear. Their clothes are generally good value for the price.

Unbelievable selection, unbelievable prices, and extremely helpful, kind, and knowledgeable staff. Phenomenal customer service. Very quick turnaround time on clothing appraisal. Amazing stock full of designer brands to suit any price point. No contest, this is my favorite store! Shop local. :) For sellers: bring in your best stuff, because they're stocked up. Vintage denim seems to be what is wanted most right now. For buyers: bring your credit card and a U-Haul truck. read more

I was excited to find a new thrift store! I saw the billboard in Brandon/Wesley Chapel. I found a few things and spent about $70. The brunette who waited on me was very pleasant (receipt says Emma) and I signed up for the rewards program. The manager, a taller brunette with glasses was very helpful when I was looking for sports gear. On the other hand, the small blonde working the end of the counter near the dressing rooms really had an attitude! She really was nasty. But seemed to be fine helping the college girls (!) If I come back to this location, I will avoid her like the plague. Haha...If only I knew her name. Anyway, cool store! Could use some organizing in jeans, as the sizes don't match the labels that tell size breakdowns on the bar. Also, next time I'll bring my own bag, as they are bagless. It's clean and well lit. Thanks, overall. read more

I always find something at uptown. I love the selection of athletic wear and they have a good supply in all sizes.

This store has a great selection of clothing - even for men. But, the best thing about Uptown Cheapskate is the incredible staff. Molly L was so friendly and helpful when I was there last week. She went above and beyond to help this old guy out and I appreciated it greatly! I will definitely be back! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Uptown is my favorite resale store in the area and is always a place I recommend to others! The store is organized by color, size, and style which makes it super easy to find items I am looking for. It's always clean and the staff is super helpful and friendly! They have all of my favorite brands for a FRACTION of the price! I've found so many Free People, Urban, and Anthro items here that I LOVE! Prices are super affordable and worth it for the great quality of the items in store! Plus, they always have sales and promotions in store for even more savings!! I also love the concept of selling your items here! The process is super easy and I love how you can choose store credit to use in-store! They definitely are better than their competition and my preferred choice when selling my clothes. Highly recommend it if you have time to stop by, it is worth it!! read more

Great service. Clean store. Kind staff. Lots of choices. Need a great new outfit on a budget, this is the place.

The employee said they were going to ban me from the event, not the store. They were so disrespectful & rude to me. They had no authority to do that because they didn't work at the organization that y'all gave your fake, b.s. generosity/charity to. They were also not a manager at your store as far as I know, so they were just being rude & deceptive & presumptuous just because. The person that actually worked at Metro (Prin Ocea or however you spell their name) at the event told me there were plus size clothes after I specifically asked if they had my size before I left, when there was, in reality, nothing in my size, so I was appalled that not only I wasted my time & gas to go there, but apparently Prinn & your employee expected me to be a mind reader and not sell the only clothes there in order to actually have funds to buy something that actually fit me. I don't know the name of this employee, only that I think they were trans, as this was an LGBTQIA+ event held at Metro. This was completely disappointing to say the least as I am also a part the LGBTQIA+ community. It was humiliating to have your employee treat me that way in front of the whole store. Crimson is obviously not my real last name if that's what you tried to put in your system. It happened at your store as that is the only store I've been to of yours & that person still worked there the last time I was there. It's been almost 3 years since I've shopped at your store & gone to any Metro events because this ordeal has traumatized me. Way to take zero accountability for what goes on in your business. You have the audacity to ask me to remove my review without taking a shred of responsibility while simultaneously underserving the entire upper plus size community. Shame on you read more

As a first-time customer, it was overwhelming. So many items, especially in ladies. I was looking for business casual clothing and found shoes and a skirt. Not much else as a selection of nice business wear for the office. Mostly teen clothing with a good selection of men's items. If you are looking for women's high-end clothing, this is not the place. If you are looking for young adult, teen, or men's items, this is your place. It was not worth my drive. read more

Great green shopping! The staff are so kind and helpful, the selling process is easy (with generous offers and the ability to donate to charity). Uptown Cheapskate - Beautiful and wonderfully priced Kate Spade! - Women's Clothing Near Me - Tampa, Florida

Service was horrible. Extremely rude to my daughter and myself. The staff and customers actually were rude. I know they don't care but I would take your business elsewhere. The girls reviewing the clothes were gossiping, looking at their phones and would only help the college girls and their mothers. They passed up designer jeans worth $128.00 they wanted to give her like 15.00. So they said they take 75% off of full retail. That should make it around 35/38.00. Insane and honestly they need to learn math. I was not impressed with pricing and styles. read more

Cute place to shop... but I took in bagfuls of clothes and accessories (mostly brand new stuff at that!!) and after driving ONE HOUR ONE WAY, they took 6 items from me. And I wasn't thinking about the fact that I just sold them my $150, only used one time Kate Spade tote plus 5 articles for of clothing for a whopping $31. I was so flustered from the drive there during rush hour and all the time it took them to go through everything that I didn't even realize what they actually took!!! I would've kept my f*CKING bag!! Hell, I should've just kept everything! Go there to buy. Don't stay to sell. That's my 2 cents. read more

Always disappointed when I leave the tampa palms location. I will only come to shop but to sell is always a disappointment. Staff is always rude. I bring in Items brand new with tags that are brand name and I get cheap $9 offers at most It's honestly just insulting. Customer service isn't there either. Don't waste your time selling here and just stick with Facebook marketplace or Poshmark. read more

Great selection and lots of name brands to choose from at GREAT prices. The dressing rooms are clean and very accessible. I wish I lived closer so I could come back more often!
