I asked if an online promotion could be honored in-store, and while I completely understand if store policy says no, the interaction felt dismissive, especially after watching another customer receive a discount from a different associate just a few feet away. Hopefully this was just an off day and Dori gets a quick refresher on customer service, because DSW is usually one of my favorite places to shop. I spent over an hour in there last week and didnt see a single employee on the floor. They have a very large selection, and lots of sizes on the floor, but seem to be very limited in wide sizing. I would have asked about it had I seen someone. They don't have the little protective footies anywhere that I saw either. One thing thats nice is they do have a nice selection of fancy handbags and purses. So if you're looking for one of those, this is a decent place to try and find one.

I asked the person running the store if they sold the charger for these headphones since they sell the headphones themselves. She brought out pairs of sneakers and explained what they did and why she picked them. To help get a better feel to the shoe I was able to walk outside the shop to test the shoes. That helped me tell differences between each shoe and helped me pick a shoe. I went with a pair of ASICS. Just a heads up they are a bit more pricey than the retail value of the sneakers. I would shop here again when I need shoes in the future.

I came in to get shoes for my daughter. I was given one shoe for her to try on and I asked one of your other employees if I could try the other shoe. She ignored me and so I picked up the box next to her and the male employee (the one who assaulted me) told me I couldn't have the second shoe. I asked him why and he said because people steal them. At the same time, he was preparing the second shoe for me to have my daughter try it on, so I took it from him and he suddenly roughly grabbed it from my hand and grabbed my finger at the same time and then took the shoes inside. I was absolutely stunned that he did that. I'm almost 50 years old, a father of three, and a physician and healthcare executive. To be treated like a common criminal when I'm just trying to have my daughter try on shoes is unacceptable. Don't shop here.
