I came here one weekend and found some great deals and was super happy with my experience. Even some Goodwill stores have higher prices and Tampa Thrift seems a little more boutique style then it is true thrift so you just have to come in with that mindset, or don't come if you don't like it. What I like that they do here is a lot of big sales. Each day there's a specific tag color that's 50% off, and this is where I found some really great pick ups. They also have one weekend each month where the whole store is 50% off, which is super cool and probably the main time I'll come back. I thought the store was fairly clean overall. They do have a couple dressing rooms if you prefer to try stuff on, and a bathroom. As with most thrift stores, there's at least twice as many women's clothing options then men's. But as a woman I was impressed with the selection and range of brands they had here. They had a good selection of blazers, not only for men but specifically women's too- I found a super nice one almost brand new for $10. There were quite a few shoes as well- sneakers and sandals and in between, I snatched a cute lil pair of heels for like $7. Another nice thing, they had a lot of kids stuff here. I've found at most thrift stores it just depends if they have kids items, especially clothing but they had a whole section here for kids clothes, as well as toys and stuff. Located next to the new location for A Modern Line on Florida Ave, this tiny shop has a great selection of vintage clothing and accessories for both men and women. The Owner definitely has an eye for knowing what vintage clothing would still look awesome today. In addition, the owner and her Mom have a whole 'upcycle' section, where they have taken used clothing and altered them in little ways to make them even cooler and more unique. I bought a jean vest that they put a new back panel and matching pocket trim on and I LOVE it! I really wanted to keep it locally owned and operated and Hyde Park has a lot of big name stores. I remembered my friend bought me a birthday gift from here and talked about how much her daughter loved her ukulele lessons, so I thought I'd check it out. Just stepping into this place makes me feel relaxed and cheerful. They sell a huge array of soaps, bath bombs, skin care products, basically what you would want for your own spa day. On top of that, they sell cool products like meat/fish/poultry seasoning, honey, bags, ukuleles, etc. It's kind of a hodgepodge of stuff that would make you happy and it works! My friend told me she didn't like bar soap until she shopped here. I got a huge array of stuff for the Yelpies and a lavender bath bomb for myself. I tested it that night and it made our bathroom smell divine. It was $8 and definitely worth that money. One of the owners was working the register and helped me choose stuff for the gift basket.
