I was glad when another bike shop took over the location where Joe Haskins Bicycle Shop used to be…read more Seminole Heights definitely needs a bicycle shop. So when I got a flat rear tire on my bike, it seemed like a no-brainer to bring it here. The store was empty when I arrived on a Friday afternoon, and one of the workers took my bike immediately to work on it. He quickly found the wire that had punctured the tire and the tube, replaced it with a new tube, and I was on my way. Until the next day, Saturday, when I had yet another flat rear tire. I brought it back in to the shop, the same guy worked on it, and told me that this flat was caused by the rim pinching it, which sometimes happens when the tape that lines the rim is too old. But the tire itself looked just fine. He put in new tape, and another new tube, and more money later, I was on my way. Flash forward to Sunday, and I'm riding the bike, and in 10 minutes my rear tire is completely flat again. ARGH! This time I brought my bike into a different, highly Yelp rated, well-established bike shop in Odessa, that told me the tape was incorrectly put in (didn't go all the way around) AND showed me the actually wear on my tire that you could see daylight through. Very clearly a new tire was needed. All it would have taken was a little extra thoroughness at Pedal Pro to find the real issue and take care of it, saving me time, money and hassle. So - while I absolutely love to support new local businesses, this one has 3 strikes with me and they are out.

Had a great experience with getting a tube replacement for my bike tire. I will definitely return…read morewhen I need a bike shop

There's a variety of shops here and restaurants for all tastes. I ate lunch at the Meat Market and it was excellent. Stopped at the capital one cafe and got 50% off my coffee for being a capital one cardmember. There's a lot of shops here with great prices and the food priced very well. I'm just not a fan of the parking situation but it was worth it.

Last night was a nice night for Xmas lighting in Hyde Park Village…read more I liked that it was not jammed packed and it was easy to walk through. People are walking around with their dogs and pretty happy here. This event took place from 5-8pm with the tree lighting at the end. We wish we saw the nutcracker ballet, but when we got there they were finishing up. We were able to get parking in one of the garages which they just opened up again when we got there. That made it way way easy since there was a good amount of parking inside. We were worried about the parking and it was fine. There was some vendors here and there but not too many. I wish we took pics by the vw van, but we didn't. They did have free ice cream from Oddfellows that we got. They sold mixed drinks and cotton candy and flowers and some food here and there like Birria Bros and The Mighty Fine. We didn't get any food and drinks while we were there. It was a nice relaxing night that made it even better with the Christmas lights and fresh air.
