My experience at this store is in dealing with the pharmacy and specifically the pharmacist, Mike. I was in CT visiting family and had brought a medication I had to take daily, at the same time each day. When it was 7:30pm and I went to take my medication - (the medication switched to a new one as I became closer to delivery in my pregnancy and it was an injection), I realized the new medication was labeled and boxed as a "pre-loaded syringe" but was missing the needle to subcutaneously inject. After multiple calls to my doctor, my family realized this Walgreens location was one of the only pharmacies open late. My doctor hadn't realized a separate order was needed for the actual needles and then was with patients. It was nearing 9:15pm at this point, the pharmacy was closing at 10pm, and had multiple people in line and was working on a number of additional orders. In the midst of it all, Mike was happy to help. He reassured that he had needles in stock once the doctor called it in, walked us through the different size options, tried calling the doctor himself, and compared everything to the prior injection I'd been on. In reaching the doctor, we realized I could stay on the prior medication I'd been on for another night or two (not an easy medication to find itself), and Mike had it, and immediately prepared it for us. Earlier in the evening, my doctor said it was probably okay to go one night without the medication, but admitted when we spoke to her at the pharmacy that actually she was nervous telling us that. Given those comments and all of this being new territory with a new medication, Mike was so calm, reassuring, competent, and helpful. While it used to be protocol to counsel a patient on a new medication, that does not happen at my local Walgreens anymore. Mike went above and beyond the call of doing this. read more

The pharmacy staff is horrible and slow. They are incredibly rude and would not recommend Walgreens at all for your pharmacy needs.

The wait times here are absolutely unacceptable. Every visit turns into a hassle--my prescriptions are never ready, even though I call several days in advance and am told they'll be filled. The lack of staffing makes things even worse, and it's become a constant headache trying to get basic service. read more

This has gone downhill in the last 6 months. I cannot count on my medicine to be ready in 3 days or earlier. Half of the time they're out of medicine. The Drive-thru window had a sign about a week or so ago stating that they couldn't dispense medicine at the window because a state law prohibited them to continue doing it. Out of curiosity I went a week later to the window and the sign was gone,I asked for my prescription I had refilled on line and the lady at the window told me that there was no record of such order. I've given up on this store and I started going to the CVS on that same street who also happen to have a Drive-thru. read more

I have been trying to use this pharmacy for over 2 years for the convenience of them being a "24/7" pharmacy. In all honesty, I would say 4 out of 5 times that I come to pick up a prescription, they are closed. Forget trying to call in when they actually are open because it takes 30 mins+ for anyone to even answer the phone. I understand there may be staffing issues, but people rely on pharmacies to be able to get their much needed medicine. If they aren't a 24/7 store anymore, then just display that! read more

I don't understand how I could be the third car in line and sitting in the pharmacy drive through line for 30 minutes. They hang up on people, leave you on hold for long wait times. This Walgreens is by far the worst I have been too. It is very unorganized and lack customer service. I came here with my husband to come get an eye ointment to fill at 3. They told us to come back at 6:30. We came at 7pm and they told us nothing is in the system . I said ma'am you told him to come back at 7pm then she said oh yes that's right give me 1 hour. 1 hour past then it went to 15 mins. It's 9pm and I am still here waiting on it. I am sure by the time I press send on this I'll still be waiting till 10. I know it's 24/7 but I'm not trying to keep them company. Very bad. However if you want to get a laugh by seeing a bunch of characters this is the place. Never coming back here for. Prescription again. I rather fly spirit airlines. read more

Always awful. I've wanted to review this location for over a year but never did because I want to give it a chance - but I'm done. I live right near this location, like down the street, and it would be nice if I could go there and not wait 10+ minutes on line to check out - every.single.time. The line is usually extended all the way back to the photography desk, with hardly ever more than one person on the register - there are 2 registers! Sometimes I just need to grab some milk, a quick snack or an office supply and I refuse to go there anymore because of this issue. STAFF your store! read more

I've been coming here for 13 years and have had positive experiences up until a year ago. They are seriously understaffed in the pharmacy. I waited for an hour one evening (11pm) for a prescription; only the pharmacist was there because everyone called out. Sometimes they close the drive-thru lanes due to the staffing shortages which is very inconvenient. I called this evening to discuss my prescription with someone. I talked to the woman, she asked if she could place me on hold to find out the answer to my question, and then another woman came back on 5 mins later. The original woman I talked to WENT HOME with me still on hold! Who does that?! I understand that many businesses are short-staffed, but this is absolutely ridiculous. read more

I am a prescriber and I waited on hold for over 1 hour with supposedly only "1 person ahead of me" the entire wait time. I was trying to call in an urgent script for a patient around 830pm. Was never able to get thru and my husband, who is also a physician, could not get in touch with pharmacy staff either. Unacceptable Walgreens, do better. read more

I made an appointment for the LabCorp at Walgreens and even after an hour no one ever showed up. Finally another customer was able to get in touch with another LabCorp that told us that no one was going to show up for another hour. No notice was given any of us even though we had made appointments. read more

If there's a problem with your insurance or your prescription, expect to go in person and wait for 45 minutes just to have someone tell you they can't fill it and it's your job to fix it or get it elsewhere. The automated message insists they're "working on it" and no one will ever, ever call you about a problem you need to resolve. And don't bother calling them, you'll just sit on hold for 2 hours until someone finally disconnects you; employees will openly admit that they don't answer phones most days. 24 hours is a mere suggestion as they are regularly closed at random times, sometimes all day, and the drive-thru shutters randomly when there's still a line of six cars waiting. Having to go in person 2-3 times every time you need a medication is a literal nightmare for a disabled person but that's what you're getting here. Even the vaccines I've scheduled have been cancelled last-minute. To be clear, I don't really hold the pharmacy employees responsible; I have no doubt that the management (and Walgreens as a company) is to blame for being too cheap to pay decent wages to enough employees to keep their business running on any kind of functional level. read more

Called at 5:30pm after a long day at work to see if they had a COVID vaccine available. Pharmacist said yes had one dose available.... I told him that I would be driving 45 mins in rush hour from Stamford to Stratford and asked would the vaccine be able when I got there in 45 mins. He said yeah it probably would and I should drive up. I speed up I-95 and yeah you guessed it.... the pharmacist tells me "sorry all are COVID vaccines are spoken for today". I said "I just called 45 mins ago and you said that you had one vaccine available and I should drive up to the store. He's reply was a very faint and whispered "sorry". Terrible job by this Walgreens pharmacy department. read more

Pharmacist is the absolute worst. Website scheduled 4th covid booster booster. Corporate 800 number recommends covid 4th booster. Drove 25 minutes out of my way in order to get done today. Assistant fills out my vaccination card processes processes the paperwork and even gets the vile out and OK and the pharmacist says he can't do it because he doesn't have an email saying he can do it. I usually go to CVS but for whatever reason CVS wouldn't have my prescription until Wednesday. Went to Walgreens and in 10 mins my prescription was transferred from CVS and filled. Not to mention I picked up some cereal and chips that were on sale. read more

A horrible pharmacy. I signed up to be reminded when my perscriptions were due for refill. Got a text for my inhaler and clicked refill. I got a text that it was refilled. I went to pick it up 2 days later along with 2 other medications I take and was told by the pharmacist that he could not find it. Since it was early and he was alone, he asked if I could come back. I said sure, since I was not out of it yet. He said he would leave a note for staff to locate it since it was missing. Today, my husband went to pick it up and was told by staff it was not ready and would be ready in about an hour and half? I called the pharmacy because it should have already been filled and why does it take an hour and a half to put a sticker on a box? A very rude woman answered the phone after I was on hold for 10 minutes. She told me that my inhaler would not be ready at the time the quoted because my insurance would not cover it for 2 more weeks since I get a 90 day supply. I have never once gotten a 90 day supply of any medication.when I said this was incorrect, she got nasty with me. Then she said she had to call my insurance and hung up on me without even a goodbye. I have had issues with this pharmacy for years, but this is my breaking point. The staff is rude, the wait is long and they have messed up too much. Tomorrow I switch pharmacies. read more

I have been coming to this pharmacy for years for all of my prescriptions and I have never changed insurance policies and everything is the same and has always been the same. I came tonight on Monday evening and I pulled up to the pharmacy window and the lady was very rude and they didn't have my insurance on file and tried to charge me $67 and said my insurance wasn't working when I had just used it at the doctors office. So after waiting 45 minutes for my prescriptionsand a huge line at the drive-through behind me I finally received my prescriptions with no apology and very rude Service I will never ever be coming back to this pharmacy ever again very disappointing. read more

Here we go again with incompetence and lack of professionalism! Condensed version: refilled my son's prescription (critical medication), Walgreens filled an OLD prescription......no problem, I'll call the MD and get it straightened out. MD office confirms date and time that Walgreens received new prescription 2 days ago, Walgreens insists they never got it. Called MD office again (about 20 minutes ago), MD office confirms second prescription approval to Walgreens at 2:45 pm today. Walgreens sends me an email at 3pm that the prescriber denied the request.......seriously?! Even the pharmacists ( who are supposed to be relatively intelligent) don't give a damn about customers or patients. MD office says they have been getting increased patient complaints regarding Walgreens lately. I'm done! Going with home delivery from now on. Was in the physical location the other day and everyone looks miserable. No thanks! read more

Awfully bad service. I waited in line for 5 minutes. A cashier was busy with a customer, trying to hurry her through checkout, but she was confused about something. Another cashier came to the front. I expected him to take the next person in line - moi! A customer plopped stuff down at the 2nd cashier's counter. Then the first cashier told me to come up, but the customer didn't move, had more questions. In the meantime, as I was stepping back in line, the customer behind me was walking towards the 2nd cashier's counter. I inched back to the first cashier and the customer behind the customer who was behind me was stepping in line at the same time I reached the counter. I plopped my goods on the counter and left. I told the cashier the service there was really awful. He shrugged his shoulders. Guess what? They won't see my greens! Neat and well stocked, but service is extremely bad. read more

This 24 hour pharmacy was amazing when it came to assisting it's customers over a year ago. Whoever is in charge of hiring pharmacists and technicians now needs to hire staff that are better trained to assist customers. After being informed my prescription wasn't available to pick up, I called the pharmacy to find out what happened. They stated my doctor didn't respond to an electronic refill request sent over a week ago, and they didn't follow up. Then they stated they could not hear me and suggested I was calling from a bad line. I stated my line could not possibly be the problem because I made numerous calls prior to this and did not have any issues. I suggested the pharmacist have the pharmacy line checked - and he stated it couldn't be the pharmacy phone line. After getting off of the phone with them I contacted the Walgreens Corporate Office who had no issues at all with my phone connection. read more

I have been going to this location for several years and I usually feel like it's a hit or miss when I comes with customer service. After the experience I had today I can honestly say I will NEVER go back to this location again. A lady who works in the pharmacy was extremely rude where it seemed like she disliked her job and did not care how she treated the people she was helping. She swore up and down I was someone else and kept telling me I had nothing there to be picked up. I decided to show her my ID after a little bit and she kept pleading her case on how I had nothing and began to read my information out load until she go to the date of birth.
