The store always has plenty of staff working the floors filling orders, stacking shelves, cutting meats, stacking produce, cleaning floors and at the check out registers. This is the one thing that is important, you don't have to wander around seeking out stuff to fulfill your list, there is always someone you can ask and they will bring you to the isle or will direct you where to look. Of course my favorite staff is Dave the seafood guy who always has a big smile and knows most customers by name. Again, Shop Rite feels like a real hometown shop and even supports many small businesses in the area including Glendale Farms who supplies most of their seasonal flowers and the Sunflower Farm who supplies soaps. There are other items and businesses there as well. They also have a nice selection of organic produce and a good selection of healthy products. The store is pretty large so they have a good inventory of products (except paper goods these days). Their fresh stuff is good quality with prices that are reasonable which is a good reason to shop here as well. We have plenty (7) of supermarkets located in Milford so the competition between them is stiff. My only complaint is that they get a good amount of produce from outside of USA so you have to be careful if you want to buy American. On the flip side of this complaint is that they usually have most produce year round.

Maxx and Ulta, so I can knock out a few errands in one trip, which is a big plus. I recently went vegan, and I've been loving to find so many delicious options here. We buy gas alot because we drive for our jobs. We both work full time and he works a part time job. He went to stop and shop to bring back bottles to get extra money to get gas for work today. He went to the gas station, and the middle aged woman (white and thick) working in the booth, complained the whole time because my husband paid with coins. 3$ in quarters, 1$ in dimes, and another dollar in a mixture of nickels and quarters. The rest was dollar bills. She sighed and huffed and puffed, telling him this was the last time he could go there and pay in that amount of change because she had all these other customers She had to take care of. He was the only one in the line, everyone else was paying with card at the pumps. He's never paid with change like that before at that gas station so idk what her issue was. And then she complained about having to count it all. This is not okay. We are just living our lives trying to get by and scrape what little money we have just to go to work and do it all over again. I've been in customer service almost my entire life. This woman needs to be written up or something because that is not okay. Your job is to take any money, smile, count it and then sit back down on your ass and go the rest of your day without being such a bitch. We are not going back to that gas station.

Carl, the manager, operates the store very efficiently and customers and employees really like him. I order from Pea Pod sometimes and they're often out of items that they shouldn't run out of. They have been out of Chobani Plain NonFat Yogurt for several weeks or the stock people aren't putting it out. On my last order, they were out of ground turkey breast and brown eggs and what I thought was going to cost $125 ended up costing $84 because they didn't have all of the items. During the pandemic, they were out of rubber bands for 2 years.

This is a shame because I expected more cookies for the price of $10.99. I'm very upset because the display surely looked like it had more cookies until you open the tray. This is unfortunate.

If you shop at Aldi you know of course you can't always buy everything here, but the things you can buy are consistently lower price than say the Big Y's in that area.
