Finally they hired some new cashiers. There's always usually only 1 cashier to ring ppl. Out. Only 1!! I couldn't believe they actually had 2 cashiers when I went in.This location is convenient for me b/c it's down the block from my house. I stopped into this location around 8:30 a.m., and there was already a long line with only one register open. All the shelves were bare, not sure what was happening with the inventory. I've been to this store dozens of times and it's always busy! Today was no exception, but the thing that stood out the most was a real stand up employee that always seem to have a smile on his face and a positive attitude! When I stopped in this afternoon, the line to the register was over 20 deep and just about all of them had a full shopping cart! ‍ I thought Thanksgiving and Holiday lines are bad, this poor man was handling the register all by himself! There was another employee stocking and was not trained on the register. I just couldn't do it, so I left and came back 45 minutes later, only to see that the line was just as long! I headed off to the Salvation Army next door and spent about 20 minutes exploring the aisles. As I passed by the window, I noticed that the line was down to 1/2 dozen customers and decided that this was my opportunity. I only needed 3 items so I made the best of it! Well, by the time I reached Tariq (register), he had the usual smile on his face! I made a comment on how crazy the past hour had been for him and he informed me that he's been at it all alone! All by himself! Now I do have to say that this man has been on his feet, non stop on the register! To top things off, he still had close to 3 hrs to go, before Sunset because it is Ramadan for some! I've been shopping at this dollar tree since I've move to this area 12yrs ago. Today 4/9/24 my daughter decided to get my son and 2 grandbabies some treats.. As she approached the register and was ready to checkout the employee/cashier asked my daughter "nicely" what happen to the ice cream one of the kids were eating at the isles? My daughter is a child of god she's attended church since she was 3yrs old now a whole mother with 2 kids that she works very hard for why would she be question about a ice cream that none of my kids ate in the isle..Dollar Tree train your employees correctly cause the manager herself even said it was someone else and not my daughter but your cashier wants to embarrass my daughter in front of my son my daughters brother and her own 2 kids and question her.. The most disgusting store I've every walked into. Not only does it seem like they have pre-k children stocking their shelves, but it also seems like they expect you to dig into piles of mess to find what you're looking for. Not bad at all. They changed the entire plaza where this dollar store is located, and it's much nicer. It's a good place to go if you are looking for seasonal decorations. I went the other day for a few Easter decorations for my classroom and I found everything I was looking for. I also appreciate the fact that it's an actual dollar store. I became familiar with dollar tree before they started to pop up in the north. I love this store and would try to go to them whenever wherever a saw a location. Well I stopped by Huntington's dollar tree last night. The shelves were scarce and boxes were pile. I never seen a dollar tree looking like this. Every aisle had open pockets!
