Don't get your passport photos taken here. Don't get your photos developed here. The photo department is a joke, a complete waste of time. Employees were pleasant enough, but extremely disorganized. The woman who took our passport photos told me she would call me when the photos were ready. I never received a call. Finally decided to pick up the photos later that morning, and the gentleman who eventually helped me couldn't find the photos, couldn't find the camera... Disorganized and unprofessional. The store itself is kind of sad. Aisles and aisles of dollar-store crap. I always leave that store feeling like a little bit of my soul has disappeared. read more

Oh the conveniency of this awesome place... I cant really complain, they normally have almost everything possible u may need at a moments notice and I cannot downgrade them because of that. ZERO......Gary the lead pharmacist is usually very sharp and had much respect for him. However, after having at least a half dozen other issues with the remaining "RUDE" pharmacy staff, I finally let my displeasure be known. I was a little rough and felt bad enough to even apologize, which is rare in itself! Yet after coming in to request something completely benign and being greeted with what was again rude and almost mocking behavior. I was again somewhat aggressive in my questioning about the Knowledge of this staff member, but never even came close to anything but mild frustration. Which if I m not mistaken, is not against the law and my right as a paying customer! Then 2 days later I get a call from the once respected Gary, informing me they were refusing to provide services to me anymore. PFFFFT! SUCK IT! I again questioned what exactly I had done wrong. I had been patient long enough and was tired of shoddy service...this is my right...I am a disable veteran and I served for a free society.....Now the female pharm and her work partner of similar senses...obviously told Gary I was much angrier than I was with my benign request, and he believed it, so he called me, and infuriated me with his denial of services...and yes I let Gary have it! I even talked to the young manager that has seen me use this store for nearly 14 years, who confirmed that I had always been respectful and polite. So.... I went in and told Gary and the other Pharmacy in front of a whole group of patients how shitty they were and that it was their inept staff that made too many mistakes and were rude too many times, threw some shit of the counter and said fuck you! Because this is a free country and there are pharmacy's on every corner. I only let them fill my dogs medicine anyways....and if Iam going to be banned from a shitty pharmacy I wanted to earn it! Useless employees (not including the pharmacy, which I do not use). They didn't seem to know where anything was. All three employees I encountered couldn't crack a smile or greet me back. I was given a vague answer to finding a product about how it was over there at the end. End of which aisle or near what would have helped, so I aimlessly wandered around the store looking for something. The check out clerk seemed more interested in something else far off, as did the floor staff. It's like they were all zombies. The popcorn was cheaper than CVS and those little carts are fun to run around with in the store. read more

My immune system hates me lately... so though I've never realized this, the importance of a pharmacy that is close to your home could be lifesaving when you are running a fever, having a tooth ache and goo coming out of your nose. The pharmacists at this Walgreens are consistently friendly - helpful and positive attitudes! They are very clear in giving medical instructions and telling you which medicine you should take for the symptoms. Also, getting medicines here is FAST. I am usually out of there within 15 minutes, from dropping off my prescription to picking up, paying and getting instructions. I love the neighborhood-y feel of this Walgreens Pharmacy. They remember me and what drugs I've been prescribed previously, so they tell me what I should be careful about when taking certain medications! Can't say enough good things about these great people! read more

I have shopped at Walgreens on Bird for 15 years. It used to be a great store with great Managers and Clerks. There were no long lines in any department because each section had a clerk. Now you stand there and wait for someone to get a clerk. I have to say when Gary retired things started to go downhill. But after Mark left it fell apart. New management has eliminated half the clerks. And is now hiring clerks that are not qualified. In a personal note... I am a woman of a certain age and always use a cart to help balance myself and because frankly, I buy a bunch of stuff at least once a week. I spoke to the manager who said they only had TWO, because they were being stolen and they only sent them two at a time!!! The cheap little baskets won't take even two items I have and I cannot lug around heavy items. I hope somehow this will get the attention of someone who can help. This store is not going to make it. Don't be surprised if it closes all together. read more

I got stuck late at work I needed to pick up my inhaler, I called WALLGREENS to see what time they close and my navigation said that I would make it there at 9 PM and that's when they closed. I called to ask them if they close right at nine because I needed to get my medication and I told him I was rushing to get there and I would probably get there right at nine, the pharmacist answered the phone said don't worry about it take your time, please do not drive too fast and be safe. I was really blown away that he was concerned about me speeding and my safety, when I got there to pick up my prescription he was so informative and helpful compassionate professional and kind, I cried on the way there because I couldn't understand why a stranger would be so caring and compassionate and be worried about my safety, I thanked him for waiting around until I got there and told him how grateful I was, he was not in a hurry he took the time to take my medication out of the package and show me how to use it and had me use it while I was there so I would be doing it properly, he also mentioned again when I said thank you for waiting that it was not a problem and that all he wanted was for me to get there safely. I don't know how many people run across people that are so kind and caring to strangers but I really felt blessed to have ran across this man and I really felt like he was an Angel. Walking in I saw the "now hiring" sign and I got a little nervous. I admit I walked in thinking "GREAT! No one is going to be able to help me, they are short staffed." I walked straight to the make up section to grab what I needed. To my surprise a lady working smiled and asked how she could assist me. After finding what I needed I walked over to pick up some photos I had ordered. Standing behind the counter was another lady smiling and ready to assist me. Pharmacy takes forever, even when the call me or message me telling me it's ready.. I go in and they tell me it's not, pathetic... and every time I go there they always have to yell out or ask me what medicine I'm picking up. Like? What's patient confidentiality for? It's a Walgreens, so you know what you're getting into. They have a good selection of over-the-counter medicine, plus cosmetics, snack food, and a bunch of other random products that I generally ignore. The main thing here is the pharmacy, which I've found to be excellent. The pharmacists now recognize me, are careful to advise me about my medications, and were actually able to catch some drug interactions that my doctor missed. It also doesn't hurt that you can order medication refills using the Walgreens app. read more

I just wanted to say that the young lady who works in cosmetics is lovely. I came in last week and was browsing shampoo....she approached me and asked if I needed help and told me to come to her register instead of waiting in line up front when I was ready. Love photo, they are great. Had to get passport pictures for my baby and the clerk was having difficulty getting the picture since my baby is to small to stand and he didn't get inpatient. I don't even know where to being about this particular Walgreens: 1.) This store looks worn down and old from the outside and there's always hobos asking for spare change. Exterior Presentation Score = ZERO out of 10 because of it's ghetto appeal and chipping paint. 2.) The inside of the store also looks old (they are in desperate need of exterior and interior improvements!!!) Interior Presentation Score = ZERO out of 10 because of the feeling of OLD when I walk in the doors. 3.) They are never in-stock on the items that I need. I have gone mid-week to purchase some items that I saw in their weekly ad, but they always seem to run out of those items. VERY FRUSTRATING!!! In-Stock Score = ZERO out of 10 because they never have the items that are in their weekly sale ad! 4.) Don't go to the cashier Sylvia. She takes FOREVER to scan my items, and when I want to use coupons she always rolls her eyes and looks annoyed (obviously, she lacks customer service skills which you would think a person in their 70's would have learned by now). She accused me of using fake coupons and didn't allow me to use a 50 cent coupon on my $40+ purchase. REALLY? IT WAS 50 CENTS!!! I can't believe that Walgreens is hurting that much for money, that they can't take a 50 cent off coupon. Cashier Friendliness Score = A BIG FAT ZERO out of 10 because they always argue with me about my coupons and because they LACK customer service. (Who hires these people???...) 5.) ...I'll tell you who hires these people: David, the Store Manager. I also had to argue with him about using a coupon on a BOGO sale. He didn't want to let me use it because, "I'm already saving a lot of money." OK, AND?!? I wanted to save $1.00 more, is that such a harm to your business? Manager Friendliness Score = ZERO out of 10 because the store manager didn't even greet me, didn't smile, and lacks a sense of customer service skills and lacks professionalism. OVERALL = The employees at this store lack customer service skills. They don't smile, they don't greet customers, they argue with you when you're trying to save money, and the store has an overall OLD feeling to it. I would much rather go to CVS down the street because they always accept my coupons, without arguing with me. read more

I come from New York , We hit the local spots down stairs from our buildings and they got a lot of stuff you need but having this store right next to me with EVERYTHING and I mean everything is Great! Im really upset of the way I was treated today. I been a costumer there for the past 7 years. I loved this place but I'm posting this to see if this helps Walgreens Pharmacy to better train their staff. After I told Mark (pharmacist) the reason of why I was getting a medication he made rude and discriminating comments and actions in front of me about it ("omg thats so bad let me get away from you") or ("wash your hands after you finish with her") which are unacceptable and unprofessional, I wasn't even ill this was just to protect my self. Being in the medical field (where pharmaceutical is under) he should better know what he will be exposed to and precautions they should take. Their staff should know them as well and Mark doesn't have to remind them of this precautions specially in front of a costumer. He did gave a consultation to the other person that was before me but he on the other staff didn't even bother to ask me or offer me one. I felt discriminated due to my condition. I did said he was so delicate because of his rudeness. He then 5 minutes later call my phone, he never apologized he was just giving me excuses of why he said and acted the way he did. He made me feel so awful and I think being in this field or working in other places this kind of acts are unacceptable, I don't know why he still is in this field if he doesn't know how to act and treat costumers despite of their condition or situation.
