I really want to like this Walgreen bc it's location but oh man.. their drive thru pharmacy is sooooooooo slow. Expect a 30-40 min wait in the car if you choose to pick up your medication via drive thru. It's MUCH (can't stress this enough) MUCH faster to park your car and go into the store. I thought the point of having drive thru service is so you get faster service? Never at this location thou. read more

The worst pharmacy ever. Do not go to this pharmacy unless you want frustration and to ruin your entire day. The store itself is OK but the pharmacy is terrible. read more

This is a great Walgreens if you want to waste an hour of your life in line at the Pharmacy. I have not yet tried their drive through window at the Pharmacy. read more

5 Stars for being open 24/7 business hours!!. I try to avoid parking within their parking lot due to busy car flow.

They open 24/7 which makes people's life a lot easier. We recently moved to the area. And my dog scratched her paws and we found out at night. We had no first aid except alcohol. So we came here to get Neosporin and iodine. This store is pretty big, has a big parking lot and had everything we needed. We also found the felt pads for our new couch. Although were also looking for 3M stickers and didn't see it. There were not much service persons around at night but it's night time so understandable. Things are well organized here so we found most items ourselves. Overall it's nice to have a 24/7 pharmacy open in the neighborhood. read more

The pharmacy people are very rude. They made me wait 30 minutes just to tell me that I could have purchased over the counter instead.

I have been on hold for 27 minutes trying to confirm whether or not they have my medication in stock. The first person that I spoke to refused to give me the information over the phone and transferred me. The hold music kept stopping and someone clearly picked up--they then put me back into hold. No customer service, no nothing. Avoid at all costs!! read more

I am here for a drive-through Covid test and having been waiting for over 1 hour. There is no line!

Only rude or careless workers are here. Don't go there unless you want to get upset. They won't say sorry even if they make mistake, and act like whatever read more

2 hour wait for a vaccine appointment. Even though I had scheduled an appointment online and filled out the form, it took TWO hours to get seen and vaccinated (my previous boosters at Rite Aid took 15 mins total). I realize they may be understaffed due to illness, but no attempt was made to explain what was going on or why they scheduled so many appointments at the same time when they had only one room to give the vaccination. One store employee walked by with a sign saying "COVID Vaccines here", saw the long line and went away without putting it up. They did have a lot of people working in the pharmacy and they seemed to be working hard, but they clearly misjudged the workload. One employee said the lines are always bad but afternoon gets worse than the morning, and around the end of the work day is worst. I will go somewhere else from now on. read more

They never answer the phone. Only the pharmacy does and they can't help with anything but pharmacy issues.

25 min wait in the pharmacy drive through line with only one car ahead of me...and still waiting. No concept of customer service!

I'm really surprised this Walgreen's has so few stars. Here are a few things that I was very impressed with on my first trip to this Walgreen's: - the girl at the pharmacy was more helpful (and nice!) than anyone else I have ever spoken to at a Walgreen's pharmacy. Since I have not been issued a new insurance card yet, she tried to call the insurance company for me to get them to authorize my prescription... - clean store - great selection of products from food items to cosmetics and more - they have a drive-through pharmacy which is always super convenient! read more

Their pharmacy line always seems to be about 10 people deep. And that doesn't count the 6-7 cars in the pharmacy's drive thru.

Long lines, people getting kicked out. Forgets to give back cards. HORRIBLE PLACE. Rating 1 star

I'll upgrade my rating a bit because I didn't notice that the Doctor had doubled the amount of the prescription and the coupon price was for the lesser amount. It's still annoying that the employees first said the price was $116, then after checking with the pharmacist changed that to $45. Maybe another Walgreens will be better, so next time I get a prescription, I'll try another store. The Walgreens coupon price is quite a bit lower than Costco, but service at Costco was far better, with the pharmacist really caring that I knew about the medication and how to handle it. If you go to Walgreens, make sure you have the prescription information (three sets of numbers) and write down the phone numbers also, because GoodRx said the pharmacy should call them if they refuse to honor the coupon. These coupons are available on Walgreen's own website, so it's unfair when they say they won't honor them. read more

This is for the pharmacy: 3 registers, a drive thru, a drop off window and a consultation window. What a joke! Only 2 registers open 90% of the time and 1 is for drive thru. The wait is ridiculous just to drop off a prescription. Heaven forbid my car get towed while I'm waiting. Yep, 30 minute parking. "I SEE 3" code for your pharmacy! I give 1 star to the blond cashier in the front that told me to "Be Well!" after I bought a pack of cigarettes for the hundredth time from her and got carded. I'm 35 for the love of Pete and I work nextdoor to you. We've interacted daily for the last decade. Get a clue! You know my DL# by heart probably. Tita is the sweetest cashier ever. There are several cashiers that I adore and hope to update my review with their names in the near future. read more

I hope they will read this review. Folks at Walgreen seem like genuinely nice and caring folks, but the waits both inside at the pharmacy and especially at the drive-through window where I spent about 40 minutes waiting behind four cars to make it to the window is just unacceptable. If things aren't ready, have cars go around or something rather than hold up Everyone. In today's modern age it is obvious something is broken as this is a solvable challenge. Very frustrating to waste such an amount of time. read more

More than 1 hour for Hep B vaccination. My insurance does cover, but staff was unable to authorize.

Photos printed at Walgreens have the worst quality I've ever seen. The first time it came out fuzzy on the edge, so I thought it might have been the loss of resolution somehow in the process, and made sure to upload the high resolution version with 300 dpi, and double-checked when uploaded. Came out not much better either. You can see with naked eye that the color slightly bleeds, causing the image to lose sharpness. Very disappointed and such a waste of time. read more

Worst customer service of any pharmacy EVER!!! why do I deal with these jokers?! First I call, they answered, told me to hold and hung up on me after 20 minutes of waiting!!! So I drive down here am at the drive up and he does the SAME THING!!!! all I can say is JACKASS! Hire some people read more

I happened upon this Walgreens randomly last year, and when I saw the massive beauty section, I was amazed. Unlike other Walgreens, this particular location has a second beauty section that houses some pretty amazing brands like ColorPop and The Balm. There's also a fragrance section that features the Demeter Fragrance Library. Demeter offers dozens of scents, and makes every day scents into actual wearable scents. For instance, they have a Play-doh scent. I KNOW! I would have NEVER known about Demeter Fragrance, but thanks to this Walgreens--I do. I got married four years ago and changed my name a year later. Unfortunately, I never changed my name on my passport, and I decided to finally make the change. Walgreens was offering $2 off of passport photos, so I stopped in to take my photo. I wish I could say the final result was breathtaking, but it wasn't. I looked like a convict. Alvin, the guy who took my picture, was very nice though. He took four pictures, and he helped me choose the least ugly one. The pictures are taken with a digital camera in front a screen under awful fluorescent lighting. Alvin then printed and cut the pictures into 2x2 passport specifications. I've had nothing but good experiences at this Walgreens, so for now, four stars! read more

Had 2 pm vaccine appointments. As it turns out, the appointments meant nothing, as everyone waited in single line, along with walk-ins. After 40 minutes, the line had moved by a grand total of two people, and there were still about 7-8 people ahead. if it's all "walk-in", then say so. We'll plan accordingly. read more

Like so many of the other reviews say, the pharmacy is slooooow. What takes 10 min at most places takes an hour here.

This review is for the pharmacy only. It's like they hire people based on how bad their customer service is. The woman that "helped" ( I use this word loosely) me with my new and complex RX, just wanted me out of there. I'm in search of a new pharmacy, This one just doesn't care about customers level of comfort with meds or basic customer service. Very disappointing and inconvenient. read more

Two or three years ago the pharmacy staff was at a level that I thought couldn't get any worse. I was wrong! It is clear that this store is on a slow-track to being closed. I fully understand it is hard to get good employees - but this store exhibits new levels of poor management. Don't bother calling the district manager - she is part of the problem. I just moved all my prescriptions. I will say though that their photo team does a great job with the quality of their prints - just don't expect that their on-line system will give you accurate information or that anyone in the store will actually staff the desk. read more

The pharmacy failed to run my new prescription through my insurance, which they've had for years and had used 2 months previously. They wanted to charge me $197 dollars. I'd previously called my insurance company as I'd never paid more than $10 for a medication with that great insurance and found out that they'd never run the prescription through them. It took over 40 minutes, mostly on hold to finally be told that they ran it through (just now as I'd complained) and the cost would be $5. THey are seriously understaffed and obviously not all employees are competent. read more

I want to complain about your San Carlos, Ca store. I have been going there for (3) years. EVERYTIME I go there, prices are wrong. The prices are marked one price on shelf and rings up another price at register. Last night was the final straw. Once again the price was marked wrong and the cashier was a maroon about it. I left the store with nothing in hand and went to Safeway to get my stuff. I'm sure this store will go under in no time. Prices are wrong and customer service non existent. Rule number one in customer service: the customer is always right. Rule number two in customer service: if the price is mismarked, blah, blah, blah...honor the lowest marked price. It was only .50 for goodness sakes. read more

I cannot tell you how many times I show up only to be told they don't have it from Mr MD. I'll call and MD assures me it is there in fact in. I ask for the pharmacist and guess what. It is in fact there. Then at times they ask if I mind going to another one as yes, they finally found it, but urgh not here. So, LMK when Amazon has their prescription deal up and running. I think if we get Walgreens down to a few customers then they should be decent. I feel for the employees. They try read more

Since Walgreens in Belmont is temporarily closed due to this current lockdown, I called the Walgreens in San Carlos and they filled my prescription without any questions. Another plus is that they have a drive-thru for minimum human contact. The service was fast and efficient. They also seem to have a better variety of products. I definitely recommend this location! read more

This is the absolutely worst pharmacy ever. I made an appointment online to get my covid booster and flu shot. I showed up a few minutes before my appointment only to have a 1 hour wait to check in!!! that's right 1 hour in line. Then, once I checked in, I realized that there was a long wait in front of me to actually get a shot. I waited another half hour before realizing there were still quite a few people in front of me a n I had to get back to work. So, I told the lady administering shots that I couldn't wait any longer and she took my paperwork. The worst part about it was that they then billed my insurance for immunizations they never gave me. When I went to CVS in Foster City the following week, my insurance rejected the immunizations because Walgreens charged them for immunizations they never delivered. I've spent over 2 hours now on the phone with my insurance while they try to talk to someone at Walgreens to reverse these charges. So far, the Walgreens has robbed me of nearly 4 hours of my life plus travel time and making it so I can't actually get a flu vaccine because of their fraudulent claim. Even though this is right next to Trader Joes and appears to be a convenient location, I will never set foot here again and I would caution anyone else to stay far away from Walgreens. read more

It's time to change pharmacies. They have acknowledged (online and via email) and then lost: a new prescription, multiple refill requests, and multiple same-day prescription delivery orders. Phone attempts to reach the pharmacy or the "store manager" nearly always fail, day or night - repeatedly going into 45 minutes of music on hold followed by the call being disconnected. It's time to call in regulators, congressperson, an attorney, and maybe CNN. read more

I'm not sure why this place is always grossly understaffed. Typical wait times for basic prescription pickup can be as long as 75 min. I am writing this in line for the drive through where I am 5 cars deep. The line hasn't moved for 20 min. The last time I was here, they closed off the drive through so everyone needed to go inside for pickup. A disabled woman who expected to have the drive through had to walk inside. This proved to be of significant hardship. The employees are so overworked, they rush through everything and have very short patience (I can't blame them). If anyone from corporate is reading this, please know that your service is resembling that of the DMV. read more

WOW... a very poorly run Walgreens on the El Camino.!!!! I waited in the drive thru line for 25 minutes with just 5 cars in front of me. It seems that people were having trouble with their prescription orders. When we finally got to the window I gave the pharmacist my girlfriend's credit card to show the name on our order. 1 small bottle of Eye drops. After 10 minutes the customer service rep comes to the window with 4 bags of prescription drugs. I then ask him what are all these bags.?? Is our order ready? The customer service rep says there are 4 items.. I tell him we have only 1 item and then he asks what is the name on the order. I say read the credit card..!! We get the 1 bottle of eye drops and drive away. They charged my girlfriend $70. for a $30. bottle of eye drops.!!! The customer service reps in this pharmacy are clueless..!! This store needs a full retraining or replacement of the pharmacy reps.. !! Total FAILURE..!!!! read more

Walgreens pharmacy needs to be honest with their patients. When I called to check the status of my medications I spoke with a tech who said "all 4 Prescriptions are ready for pick up". The next day I wait in line for 22 minutes to pick up my meds which are "ready for pick up". However, to my surprise they were not ready. Oops, once again mis information. This isn't the first time. I'm back in line waiting again. But the certified pharm tech was helpful and doing his best to fill my order for which I'm am grateful for his good customer service. Oh how I miss the mom & pop pharmacies. read more

This Walgreens Pharmacy is the worst!!! The Manager does not care at all. She is very rude. They don't have any kind of system to help customers in a timely manner. Even they see a long line, they just chit chatting at the back. I like to warn people. Make sure you count the meds they gave you. One time, it says in the bottle 90 pcs but when I counted it its only 45 pcs. I called and informed the manager. She knew the number of meds were not right. She said she'll fixed it but never called me back. So inefficient! I wish they never closed the one here in Ralston. read more
