I came in to pick up a Roadie delivery, and the experience this morning was extremely unprofessional. When I asked how to proceed with the order, the employee on duty responded in a very rude and dismissive way instead of helping. I was just trying to complete the delivery, but the interaction felt hostile and unnecessary. I've reported the experience to Roadie as well so they're aware. I hope management provides better training, because this location clearly needs improvement in customer service. Based on this experience, I won't be picking up or shopping here again. read more

I had a really uncomfortable experience at this CVS. I was simply looking at the ice cream section when an employee rushed up to me very aggressively asking if I needed help, despite there being a line at the register that clearly needed attention more. The interaction felt unnecessary and honestly made me feel singled out. When I later asked her why she approached me like that, instead of handling it professionally she responded with "because I have to" and then told me to "get used to it." Extremely rude and unprofessional customer service. I don't understand why she needed to do that, I ended up leaving empty handed. Definitely won't be shopping here anymore. read more

Terrible experience getting passport photos at CVS. The manager took multiple blurry, unusable photos and acted annoyed every time I asked for a retake. He kept sighing, saying the store was closing in 40 minutes and that he needed to stock shelves, as if I was bothering him for expecting clear passport photos. Unprofessional attitude, impatient service, and poor photo quality. Avoid this location if you need passport photos done properly. read more

Again I went in line to pick up my Prescription using the cvs App. I was next but the clerk, Christine, said the other person was waiting but didn't have a cvs app. Using the app is suppose to allow you to skip the line according their their sign. She said the t was her first time there and that maybe be true, but there are signs above her head which allows people using the phone app "skips" the line. The pharmacy at this cvs is terrible which is a bummer since it's next to my house. They never have my regular rx in stock. Don't even waste your time coming here during the late afternoon/ early evening or on weekends to pick up a perscription. They only have one person working the register which is mind boggling on a weekend, given that's when most people run their errands. Will be changing pharmacies going forward. read more

This CVS is extremely notorious for bad customer service. The pharmacy staff is very bad and will treat you very poorly. I have had pharmacists screaming at me out of nowhere in the store and on the phone on multiple occasions. They lie about things to get you off the phone and even have said things like maybe you should find another pharmacy. I don't know if store manager is even paying attention to this. read more

Today I went into this particular CVS looking for "Venus" face razor, and this was my third attempt. However, this store was sold out of it as well. Daniel offered to helped me, checking the availability of nearby stores to locate it so that I wouldn't have to continue to drive to each and every one. He was able to find one, then he even called the store to confirm that they had one and to put it on hold for me. RACIST PHARMACY MANAGER (Debbie I). If I could give zero stars I would. Walked into CVS to purchase allergy medicine over the counter around 8:55 am. Simply asked the pharmacy if they sold Claritin-D the person behind the counter which I had come to understand later was the pharmacist manager, didn't even look at me and said we're closed you can buy it at 9 when the registers open. I said okay, I'll be back in 5 mins. I walked down the next isle and I hear her saying to a co-worker "what part of no does he not understand, do I need to say it differently or in another language." Little did she know I was in the isle right next to the pharmacy where she couldn't see me but I heard everything. In light of everything going on in the world today, never thought I would experience this in San Mateo. I spoke with the manager of the store who was very nice and accommodating, if only I had the pleasure of dealing with her my day would've been much better. I will never come back to this store again and hope that she is reprimanded for this and no one else experiences this type of ignorance ever at this CVS again! read more

Ever wondered what a cross between a ghost ship and a CVS looks like? (who hasn't?!) Then look no further :D I've no idea what happened to this place, but it basically has no stuff, and no staff. Make up selection is empty, ditto household supplies, booze stocks, everything is just pretty much empty. I kept going back to see if it had gotten better, but they still haven't re-stocked anything in about 2 months. It'a annoying because it used to be a great 24h go-to spot for all the things you suddenly realize you can't live without at 3am. There is at least a Walgreens nearby, but pretty sure it's not 24h. read more

These are the idiots we have in charge of controlled substances. This pharmacy needs to be audited or something. Prescriptions are never ready even when you receive a call saying that they are ready. You then go to the store and are told they just processed the order and will take 15minutes.( 15mins/prescription) then they let you wander the empty aisles for 45 mins while you wait for your prescriptions that should have already been ready. Not only that but I got told by a pharmacist she would help another man before she helped me even though I was next in line. She stated that the man had been waiting there. But that's what a line is. People waiting to be helped. There were two pharmacists in the back. The other was doing nothing but letting the line build. The pharmacists were two incompetent baboons who were very rude and don't know how to run a pharmacy. They can't even manage to fill prescriptions or understand how to properly execute a line. read more

I will never ever go back here. This was such a waste of time. What's the use to make an appointment when this doesn't work. CVS is so messed up in their computer system. I scheduled for flu and Covid vaccines. Received text day before that it needs to be rescheduled due to limited availability. Went online to try to reschedule and saw there was opening later in the afternoon on the same day and thought that was weird. I called the Pharmacy to try to sort this out and they said " ..we have enough vaccine, that I can just show up at my appointment time " So I showed up, even got a text from CVS that morning to go to the Pharmacy counter when I arrived. This guy pharmacist said we only accept email confirmation. CVS never sent me an email confirmation, it was only text confirmation. I showed that to him and he got very defensive saying "he's only trying to do his job " Is this how to speak to your customers? Had he said we are sorry, but we do have limited availabilities. I would have walked away or at least get the flu shot only and be on my way. The Pharmacist said if we have the email confirmation he can give the shots to us. When you made appointment with CVS, it's only text confirmation. I made appointment with Safeway for my parents and I received email confirmation. "CVS - where hope goes to die." At least that's what I kept thinking as I listened to muzak and felt like I was in some sort of depressing carpeted purgatory. This was my third drugstore of the morning, and I was here looking for acetaminophen suppositories for my feverish barfing toddler. A Safeway pharmacist was kind enough to call around and CVS said they had some. Well, they had suppositories, but I didn't need just random suppositories to jam up orifices, I needed specific medicine to bring my son's fever down and mama bear was pissed. It took a while for me to get help at this store. When I eventually got assistance, they were apologetic for the miscommunication that caused me to make a special trip for nothing, but still, it reinforced my initial impression that this is where hope goes to die. They appear to have a large selection here, but I'd much rather shop at other drugstores that don't feel dreary and are more customer-service oriented. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. The pharmacist working on 7/2 late afternoon was extremely rude to me. She was hostile, aggressive, and condescending. I was trying to pick up my birth control like I always do and had confirmed it was renewed with my doctor's office online and by phone. I needed to start my new pack that same day. I was denied the prescription and told to drive to a different city to the minute clinic which wasn't even open on weekends. I drove around to several locations all day long for hours trying to get my pills. She had no empathy, respect or kindness for me and it was very unprofessional and mean. I will say the other people working there have been much nicer to me, but I will no longer be going there because of this horrible interaction. I don't recommend this pharmacy location. read more

I have lived in this area for over 12 years and it was my go to store for medication, things I might have forgot, then.. All the sudden shelves were EMPTY of all beauty products. Not one can or bottle of deodorant or make up. I asked Carolina in Pharmacy a question, and she was VERY RUDE to me and others. Everyone knows me there and Carolina did NOT have to snap. Snap once ok, but NOT twice. Big shout out to JD! He is awesome in customer service. I am in the customer service industry, and this guy truly is the best! Abe, the manager was very helpful as well. Will only go in for coffee only. Everything locked up, but I understand, there is A LOT of thieves in pairs that not only hit them, but my store too. Sign of the times. read more

This CVS/Pharmacy is the weirdest CVS in the world. It's a combination of weirdly stocked product (who is buying this stuff) and weird customers. I sent the housemate over to pick up some NyQuil and came back with a bottle of like "Quick-E-Cold XY." This was the only NyQuil type product they had. Then another time I was in there and there were like five or six teenage dudes, like, sitting near the photolab area on chairs and were like eating ice cream out of huge boxes of ice cream. Like it was their living room or something. Another time, I saw this super sketch looking dude buying only huge bottles of alcohol and like five packages of the over the counter cold medicine and I SWEAR TO ALL THAT IS HOLY THAT I WATCHED HIM WALK OUT AND EXPECTED HIM TO GET IN A HUGE METH RV. I kind of avoid the place because it feels like a combination of an X-files/Twilight Zone episode with the other customers. BUT...the employees are really nice and friendly. Also, the store is open 24 hours, but the pharmacy isn't open 24 hours. read more

The pharmacists are sooooo rude! I've been going to CVS in Belmont for over 20 years, but rarely get drugs from the pharmacy. However the other day I dropped off a prescription and the ladies behind the counter were strangely rude. I wasn't standing in the exact place they wanted me so instead of politely asking that I stand "behind the red line" she shouted it across the store very rudely. Let me tell you - there was only myself and one other gentleman and we were about 20 feet apart. This was so embarrassing because she was so loud and seemed angry. Meds are never ready when promised. They were unable to get a medication for me and never notified me. Only when I showed up did I find out they couldn't get it. Thank goodness for Debi in pharmacy. She called around and found the Med for me and notified me within a couple hours. Debi is always pleasant, knows my name and is very competent They also do not have a working bathroom for shoppers. I appreciate that this place is right at the bottom of the hill I live on, has a very convenient lot and it's a huge CVS! However, for the amount of space it has, I've often ended up next door at the Walgreens for pretty everyday products that they didn't have, ranging from pretty common razors to makeup remover of a pretty average brand (however, they WILL have the CVS rendition, of course) to common food items (you have so many random unusual food objects! Yet pretty average things are either deathly overpriced or just not there). It's unfortunate because the store is 24/7 and so close to a lot of residences. The lines are also annoying, the registers move rather slowly when there are actually people waiting to get checked out, and if you don't have your club card some cashiers give you a hard time before allowing you to use their store card. read more

I wanted to buy my favorite deodorant and called for someone to unlock the case come to find out nobody had the key because the manager had taken it with them and they told me to come back tomorrow. So i grabbed a temporary one. The associate said is there anything else you need? I said yea I'm going to get some cold medicine . He said yea we're about to close. Nobody stated they were closing early . It was only 10 and they normally close at 12. He stated we have computer problems. I wish they had said that when i walked in , instead of following me through the empty aisles until i got to the register.
