Because the store was clean and stocked and there was a good sale on Tide and All, I am giving this particular VISIT two stars. Getting ready for my summer work in the great outdoors, I've been walking around the city. I may or may not have looked like a "bum;" that's subjective. My body and clothes were neat and clean and not completely "cheap." But that's how I ended up feeling by the second interaction with just one person. I would have four total. The thing is, I was there because I am leaving and won't be back in a real city until October and I had rewards Walgreens kept telling me to use before June. The cashier, at the last interaction, was told I am here today to use my rewards--I specifically told her this--and rang me up. I asked if it got my information (she used my phone where it showed the rewards and my scannable bar) and she said yes. I asked if the reward was applied... yes. Afterward, I said I understand by opening these headphones and throwing away the package that I won't be able to return them, but I want to use them now. She waited for me to do so and I asked her to throw the packaging away, please. As I walked out, I realized that what I paid was exactly the price of all my items and did not appear to have the reward discount. I went back to the cashier and looked for the receipt, letting her know that I was pretty sure it didn't take off the reward. She assured me it did and said I was not accounting for tax. I said it's not really adding up like that. She said she SAW IT. If she saw it, well, no use digging for the receipt that I shoved into a pocket... I left, feeling stupid and irritated. Then I got home and could take a breath. The rewards were still on my account. Still asking to be used soon before I lose them. The receipt did NOT show the rewards. The lady lied. She did not make a mistake, which is fine, but she lied and I chose to second-guess myself and now, I lose out. It's not much, but the point is they offer rewards and should know how to use them, especially hen asked. They should acknowledge that they do not know one way or another if they've been used. They should VALUE the customer. For me, personally, I really would NOT have gone in at all that day without the reward expiring, I needed nothing and I did have Beats at home. I chose those headphones because they'd be a great spare and were a good price AND I have a nice reward for my prior purchases. That lie didn't cost me my reward as much as it did three stars from this review. On a side note-Walgreens is great for quick needs and often has killer sales to get us in the door. Their service can be fine, though I've found the pharmacy to be slow at times (last used months prior to this visit). Two stars for that and a clean store. read more

Made and had a flu shot appointment confirmed, only to arrive and be told no vaccines today. No reason, no direction to another store absolutely no help at all. Worst service and they failed to open on time. Huge waste of time. read more

As usual-Walgreens manages to not come thru for me!! I reviewed them earlier on Yelp regarding their atrocious service on my Wife and my flu vaccines (which we eventually had to get at CVS) and then thought I would try them for her Covid shot-big mistake. First spent 3-4 days waiting for them to fix her account (you have to have one to get the shot there) and then had to figure it out myself as no call-back/e-mail response from them. Then I spent 10 days on-line trying to get their wonky system to work. It shows numerous doses available all over Reno-but the system will not let you schedule Dose 1 unless you at the same time schedule Dose 2 and their is ZERO availabliity for Dose 2 appointments. You can tell Dose 1 slots are going unused as the numbers don't go down that much-obviously very few people are getting Dose 2. Their employees are aware of the situation, but apparently management is out to lunch. What a lame system! Renown Hospital Group has their system down to a science. You sign up for Dose 1 on-line, get your shot, and then within a few days they notify you that slots are available @28 days from the first shot. Works great-I am now fully vaccinated and finally went back over to them last night and got my Wife signed up there as well for next week. Walgreens may be fine for doling out aspirins and cough medicine-but they need to leave the "heavy lifting" to others who have a clue. If they are the government's solution to getting us vaccinated up to "herd immunity" level-we are all in trouble. Go to Renown of the county and forget this chain. read more

Waiting 2 days now for my prescription that is "still being worked on" according to automated voice message. They do not answer their phones, and I have not been able to get through to any of the staff over the phone. Very frustrating, & poor customer service. I was at the counter to get a prescription. There was an issue and the lady at the counter had someone else take over to fix the issue. I asked if she wanted me to stand aside so I wasn't in the way while she checked others out. The lady said yes. Next thing I know, they pulled the gates down and went to lunch. PHARMACY REVIEW: TWICE the pharmacy ordered the wrong medication despite reordering the exact prescription already on file and previously filled at this location. Even after personally going into the store and specifically talking to the tech, they got it wrong - again! While the pharmacist (Michelle) was nice, the counter tech (Nicole) had a serious attitude both times we dealt with her. Will NEVER use this location again. read more

I was placed on hold by the pharmacy and left for dead. The phone would start ringing again every couple minutes and someone would pick up and put me back on hold. I went there to check on my script because it was close and they wouldn't answer my call and they seemed nice in person but also overwhelmed. This was the worst costumer service I have ever seen at any Walgreens I have ever been. read more

Walgreens seems to have a pretty decent selection of stuff as any drugstore should. I have never used their pharmacies so I can't speak to that aspect of the business. Overall the cashiers are pretty friendly, but are generally not there in the capacity to provide advice for ailments etc. One of my first jobs was working for Longs Drug Store, where the expectation of customer service was very high and was hard to compete with. I prefer this Walgreens over CVS, as Walgreens has a better presentation of the goods they provide, the store is clean, and people are friendly. There is usually not a wait to check out a couple things on the way home. The parking lot was recently paved and looks nice. read more

My daughter got diagnosed with the flu and was prescribed TamiFlu. As we get our prescriptions get filled here, I stopped in to pick it up only to find out that they had to order the medication due to the dosage. Because of this, I was told that it would be ready tomorrow by 3:30 pm. Flash forward ..... It is now 5:30 pm a day later and I'm waiting in line to pick up the prescription and to my surprise it is not filled. Based on the fact they had over 24 hrs to fill, you would have figured that good Customer support would be to right the wrong and fill the prescription immediately, but instead I wait with a sick daughter at home waiting for it. FYI, it took 1 hour to fill and they notified me after this wait that they could not get the dosage of TamiFlu prescribed and instead gave us the liquid form, which the doctor didn't prescribe due to it upsetting the stomachs of some of her other patients. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. After waiting 20 minutes in drive-thru I gave up and went inside where the only other customer in the store was also waiting at the pharmacy. Terrible service, rude pharmacist. I was only there to pick up; my prescription was waiting so I called the manager to help me. I've given this pharmacy 3 chances so far....consistently terrible so this was my last time. The rest of the store is fine, just have your prescriptions filled elsewhere. I'm getting mine through the mail from now on. read more

I have returned to using this pharmacy and for the past six months they have been so efficient and have great customer service. I don't know if they have new management or have had corporate training but whatever has been implemented sure has improved this pharmacy's efficiency. I shudder every time I need to pick up a prescription, knowing I'll be in that car line for at least 40 minutes. They really need to hire more staff, but don't seem to be aware of the incredible inconvenience placed upon their customers. Especially if you're not feeling well. If I didn't have my mom going here as well (for whom I have to pick up prescriptions), I'd switch post-haste. They tried to charge me $197 for one small tube of cream which I was able to get at Smiths pharmacy for $52. It does pay to price check. read more

SO bad I mean BAD. I've caught another mistake and didn't notice until I left. They are telling me I received a refill that was not in the bag and of course I'm treated as a drug addict. Customer service is non existent and it's like they forget who pays their salary...the consumer. With out us, no job. I've had to deal with the pharmacy manager on a couple of occasions when there are issue and she is great and from what I understand they have rotating pharmacists and that's where the customer service issues come in. Hannah the manager on duty really needs to be terminated. Countless mentions of her name on Yelp. I jokingly mentioned standing outside with a sign to alert the community they make mistakes and she threatened to have me put in jail if I remain on their property. Really Hannah? Get a grip. I have contacted their corporate office and going to request a meeting with the pharmacy manager, Lovely Hannah, and their district and store manager to discuss their treatment of me today. Wow what a horrible experience. I started getting allergies and stopped here to pick up a bottle. I couldn't remember the entire name but knew it started with wal, was in a green box, and was 4 hour duration. I could not find any 4 hour, only 24 hour. Went to the pharmacy window and explained what I was looking for and the counter girl looked at me like I had been speaking Greek. She had me go over to the consult window and told me to wait. The pharmacist came to the window and asked me to again repeat what had already been explained. As I did, she told me walgreen's did not have a four hour pill. I assured her they did. She went on and on about walgreen's not producing any medication. I explained again what I was looking for and she rudely stated she had heard me the first time. Really? This Walgreens has everything one needs. The staff is like a skeleton crew always so prepare to find rare difficult to locate items on your own. The pharmacy is awful. I hand delivered a prescription to the pharmacist who said it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. Totally reasonable and I shopped while I waited. After 30 minutes I thought it was time to check to see if it was ready. The same pharmacist said "no we haven't even received the prescription". I said but don't you remember me handing it to you?" She said no. This was anti flu medication,one that should taken ASAP. She said they didn't have it and I should call my Physician Assistant the next day to have her call it in. I did call my provider and asked that she send it to a different pharmacy. I hope the pharmacists and staff are treated and paid well for their service, as it would be fantastic if this pharmacy could be more organized and less unhappy. read more

We decided to get flu shots & picked the Walgreen's on South Virginia. 1st PROBLEM: the original cashier was unable to enter & process the shots through our health care provider (United Health Care) - so we decided to just go ahead and pay for the shots out-of-pocket (about $32 x's 2). 2nd PROBLEM: after a lengthy wait trying to work out the insurance - we were then given health care forms to fill out (they will not process the payment until the forms are turned back in). 3rd PROBLEM: once you fill out the forms you are force to stand back in line to turn them in (yet another wait). 4th PROBLEM: the original cashier was gone & the new cashier (a young black woman) had an attitude from the minute we turned in the form. We had a question about the actual "shot" -vs- "spray" and she ignored us. Obviously, since she was unable to enter info and talk at the same time & we were unable able to ask our questions. When she finished & we opted for the "spray" - she rolled her eyes since it would cause her to re-enter the info as "spray" instead of "shot". We were instructed to get out of line and it would be more waiting since she had to "re-do" our records. 5th PROBLEM: 15 minutes later the Pharmacist informs me that I can not get the "spray" since you have to be under a certain age (no problem). But, the 2nd person was able to get the "spray" - but he had to fill out "different" paperwork. 6th PROBLEM: again - we had to wait in line to turn in the 2nd set of paperwork and it laid next to the same rude cashier (as she proceeded to check out all the people standing in line behind us). 7th PROBLEM: 45 minutes (from when we walked in) we informed them to just cancel the order - the Pharmacist spoke up and said - "oh we can give you the shots now if you want" - but due to the horrible experience - we walked out WITHOUT getting our shots. Went across the street to CVS - spent 7 MINUTES and got the shot (which were processed on our insurance). read more

The store manager or pharmacy did not think it was important enough to call me back. This was Friday. When I called him on it at the pharmacy window Monday morning, he had no good reason for the error or why he didn't return my phone call. Just sorry. Wow. Inept and uncaring is what happens when THEY make a mistake. Even if it makes you suffer. Their only job is to fill scripts. Unbelievable. I'm finding a new pharmacy. You should too. read more

Sat in drive-theu line 15 minutes, the guy in front got so upset the pharmacist wouldnt clear the "flu ahot" sales pitch they're now mandating before yiu get your prescription. Then, if yiu go inside, which I did to get a flu shot (and they still wouldnt give the med), it was another 15-30 minute wait to get a flu shot. I asked to speak to a manager to give him feedback and he was too busy to come out. Expect their pharmacy customer service to be rude, slow, tell you you have to be cleared They WILL NOT give you your antibiotics, prescriptions, etc until the "pharmacist" can clear that you've had a flu shot! Pharmacy manager was speaking very rude and loudly to my wife who was beyond fed-up with dealing with their incompetence after her fourth visit there for the same reason over four days. My son came down with a staph infection. Our first antibiotic journey became a nightmare with the Moana Walgreens. The Target pharmacy came to our rescue with a 10 minute in-and-out. Wonderful. So after we leave the doctor's office today, we go to Target, leave the prescription and head to lunch. We return only to find out that they didn't have the medicine. Okay, that stinks for Target, but the pharmacist there went above and beyond and called multiple pharmacies around Reno to find it for us. Guess who had it? Yep, the Moana Walgreens. Talk about kharma. Well, of course I can't go there after my expletive-laden departure just two days earlier (all PG-13 since the kids were there, which wasn't that good since they aren't close to 13). So I drive to the Neil/Virginia Walgreeens and plead my anti-Moana case to the woman there. She sympathizes with me so much that she offers to have it delivered from Moana to her store in two days. Well, it is a staph infection, so she then searches the computer and does a physical inventory of the shelves. Then she calls this particular Arrowcreek Pkwy Walgreens. Yes, they have it! I drive over there (even further from my house now), and the woman at the counter - Angie - was so nice. She remembered the call from the other store, entered our info in the system, verified insurance coverage, told me what the remaining amount would be since it's an expensive drug that many companies don't over, and said it would be 15 minutes. It actually took 10. They paged us, the pharmacist came out and explained the medication and sent us on our happy way. Clean, smiling, happy! As far as the store itself goes, it was clean and bright, everyone said hello. read more

Just moved to the Reno area and this pharmacy is the closest to our home so have tried several times in the last month. The absolute worst service at a pharmacy I've had. They overcharged me for a prescription and when I tried to transfer it to a different store they wouldn't because it was a "new prescription," but it's not. I've been on it for 3 months and Walgreens has given it to me for 2 of those 3. They charged me $25 for a prescription that was suppose to be free with my insurance because they wouldn't give me the generic version. It's ridiculous and I plan on NEVER going back. read more

I love Walgreens!!! Love the management and employees and the store is wonderful. Always clean well organized. The staff is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. I'm in there about 5 times a week and the experience is always great!!! If Walgreens carried more clothes, toys and groceries, I would be even happier because I would only shop there!!! This is my third time coming here waiting over 20 minutes with two cars in front of me in the drive thru. Today it was 35 minutes with two cars ahead of me. When I got to the front, the clerk said my prescription was not there and I told her it was called in 45 minutes ago then she looked again and it was there. She said I'd have to get back at the end of the line now there were three cars in line because it was going to take 10 minutes for it to be ready. I had a sick child asleep in the back so I had to get back in line in the drive thru and waited another 30 minutes, 65 minutes total today. Extremely slow even if there isn't a line. The pharmacy technicians are as sharp as a marble and are extremely rude. They just throw your prescription at you and don't say anything. Switched from cvs about a year ago and kept giving them the benefit of the doubt, but they still haven't cleaned up their act.
