Friendly staff and well stocked store. I couldn't find any beauty in here, but there are lots of supplies to help you BECOME beautiful! I think they should be called a beauty AID supply. They have tons of different colors for your hair, and all the stuff to mix together to make those colors stay in your hair. Of course, you have to have hair to color or else it gets a little weird! Prices seem fair, though I haven't shopped anywhere else. Great place for this part of town. read more

Nothing infuriates me more than driving out of my way to a business only to find that they are closed. I checked Sally's hours online, then even called to verify that they were indeed open, was forwarded to an auto answer recording that gave the business hours as 9am-7pm, marking the hours on their website. So to my annoyance, I arrive to discover they are closed. The store hours visibility posted near the door display open 9am-7pm. I waited about five more minutes and saw at least four more people come to the doors to find Sally's locked and obviously not open for business. I tried at 9:30 and again at 9:52, after doing some light grocery shopping, and Sally's was still not open. Maybe there was an employee emergency, maybe somebody had confused hours, but is no one in charge to verify if and when the store is open? As I stated above, there were at least five customers who were unable to make purchases this morning. In today's competitive marketplace, I don't think any company can afford to squander sales from five customers. read more

This is the Sally's that i go to on a regular basis. I dye my hair myself all the time, usually going for a dark brown shade. I needed to cover up my roots and so i came in today to pick up some color. I decided to go with a different color than normal and needed to purchase developer as well. I asked the lady (i think her name was Veronica or something), and she told me to buy 40 volume. Long story short i got out of the shower and my roots were bright orange. Called my hair dresser friend and she told me you should never use 40 volume unless you are bleaching!!!! Sally's, if you are going to hire people, atleast have them understand basic hair color 101. read more

So my hairdresser had a malfunction a few days ago and made my hair look awful. I didn't realize it until hours after I left the salon, but I had stripy, bleeding highlights that made me look like a) a zebra or b) a very unsuccessful stripper. My hair was white and black! I am a California blonde and that means sun-kissed and golden. Being too annoyed to go back to my hairdresser to have her fix her mistake, I decided to DIY and headed over to Sally. Normally I wouldn't review a beauty supply company, but I must give a shout out for the excellent customer service I experienced. It's standard policy for the employees to greet people as they come in, but I had one gal who helped me choose the right color etc. based on what was going on on my head. For a Sally employee, she was extremely knowledgable. I just wish I knew her name. Now my hair looks great thanks to her recommendations. She took the time to help me out even when the store was extremely busy. Other than that, the store carries just about any basic beauty supply you would need. Nothing outside of the normal Sally brands however. read more

I am not showing you my license w/ my address, license # and other info that could be abused by someone who wants to steal an identity. Sally's has some speciality products that you can't find at most drug stores. Decent selection of hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons, etc. Selection of hair products is adequate. Staff are friendly, but for the most part, useless. When you ask the staff for a recommendation on a product -- after telling them what your specific needs are and presenting them with two or more products that might work -- the staff will tell you that they don't know which is better, or which they prefer. The staff needs to be more educated on the products in the store to at least give a semi-educated answer to customer questions. Haven't figured out whether paying for the Sally's "discount card" is worth it -- guess it depends on how much you go and how much you spend there. Was also a bit put off that a store would charge the customer for a "discount card." read more

So, I usually come here because it is close to where I live, but after this last time (mid March) I'll no longer be returning back. Customer service has always been OK, and I have had maybe once in the past where I ask a sales associate a question and I get the tone that it was a dumb question to ask, etc. That's fine, whatever. This last time, however, I had not been to this store in a few months because I like to buy my products in "bulk" so that I don't have to constantly be going to the store. Anyway, some of the products had changed their look since I last went (Ion Hair Products) and I asked a question as to 'where I can find some products that were labeled "vegan" at the bottom of some of the shampoos.' The sales associate proceeded to look at me like I had a third eye coming out of my forehead and answered me with an attitude that all the Ion products are vegan. I get it, sometimes people are having a bad day, so I shook it off and just proceeded to find what I was looking for. Then a few minutes later I was looking for gloves, and because everything has moved around I obviously asked for help from a different sales associate hoping that I would get a better response. Not the case. This girl was equally rude and proceeds to try and hand me a size that she believes would fit my hands (which were about 2 sizes too big for my hands). Anyway, I am not really sure what was wrong with everyone at this store that day, but regardless, I am not going back. Another side note: These employees should be educated a little more on their products since I could not believe that Ion's products were all vegan. Turns out they are not and as of March of last year have stated that they cannot state on their products that they are cruelty free. Although Ion strives to make sure that the majority of their products are not tested on animals or derived from animal by-products, they, however, cannot say the same for the raw materials that make up their hair products as it is difficult to determine whether they were tested on animals or not. Also, some of their products do contain silk, honey, and beeswax among other ingredients. So, please, make sure your sales associates aren't giving out false information to the consumers of these products. read more

I would give this store NO stars! Extremely rude workers. I did receive a "Hello" when I walked through the doors but no help or nobody ask if I needed help. I found what I was looking for after literally going around the store 5times, I was looking for workers an seriously none could be found. After I saw what I wanted to purchase I went to the cash register and literally no lie I waited about 10 minutes, if I didn't really needed what I came for I would have left. After I seen a worker acknowledge me she still took time to put stuff away walk around the other row then come towards the register, she had curly dark blonde hair with glasses. I went to Sally's not too long ago to dye my hair. I wanted to dye my hair a lighter color, and my natural hair was a dark color. I was recommended Salon Care Professional Prismlite Powder Lightener. I was told that it would be perfect and all I need, and was assured I didn't need anything else. I bought it and went home. When I started trying to lighten my hair using it, I checked instructions and it said I needed developer. Now being told I didn't need anything else I went ahead and used water assuming that was the developer. I let it sit in my hair for a hour on a test patch and it didn't work. So I went back the next day and said I didn't get the correct supplies because I was reassured that I didn't need, and the lady helping me said that I needed a developer, and offered me one saying I needed, and helped me find it, said that it needed to be a pancake/cake batter consistency and told me all the steps i needed to take to do it. When i got homes, i followed every step, and it ended up being the consistency of shaving cream, and took longer to dye my hair. They didn't offer good advice and were very pushy, would not recommend. Maybe try somewhere else. read more

My poor experience started before I even entered the store. There was an employee taking a smoke break directly beside the door and I had to pass through her second hand smoke to get inside. The girl behind the counter said hello as I entered but offered no assistance even as I made an entire lap around the store trying to locate the specific item I came for. I went to ask the girl behind the desk for help, but she was on her way out the door to join the other associate outside for a smoke break. I looked for another employee, but another customer beat me to it. I finally found what I was looking for and headed to the counter where the other customer was now being helped by the only associate in the store. I waited for what felt like five minutes and began to grow impatient. The customer was joining the rewards program and had a complicated purchase. Another customer was in line behind me at this point and she eventually put her items back on the shelf and left. I soon did the same. Though I was next in line I suddenly didn't feel right about supporting the business. To top it off, I sat in my car for a minute before pulling away and I saw the third associate head out for a smoke break when the other two came back inside. I didn't feel that I received any of the customer service I was hoping for and because of that I will make my purchases elsewhere from now on. read more

I'm extremely unhappy with the customer service at this Sallys. I used to come here about 5 years ago before I moved and I absolutely loved it! But my first visit back was terrible. An employee gave me terrible advice about a product, when I got home I double checked with my hair lady and she said absolutely don't take that advice. I went to return the product because I couldn't use it and the manager denied me a return!! She acknowledged her employee handled the situation wrong, but I still had to eat the cost because sallys couldn't resale my item. It's a few weeks later now and I'm so upset about wasting my money and giving it to this terrible store. I've written customer service and if they resolve the issue I'd be wiling to change my review and show that it was resolved. But until then I'm going to Ulta! They are much more friendly, knowledgeable, and don't act like you're bothering them by visiting their store. Also the girls in there all have great hair, makeup, and nails. Unlike the women at sallys who do not do a good job at representing their brand. read more
