Amber is incredible at what she does! I have to admit I was very nervous to have someone tattoo my face, I stalked Amber on social media for months before I had the courage to book an appointment. She is simply amazing and makes the process so smooth you wonder why you waited so long to book in the first place! I have seen Amber 3 times now, the first time was in 2019, a touch up a few weeks later, and then again this past Monday. Does it hurt? A little, but its not bad at all, she even uses a numbing cream after the first pass so you don't feel a thing after that. Is it expensive? Considering that you are permanently tattooing your face, NO! You get what you pay for, and Amber provides the after care AND a touch up appointment, so I find her to be extremely affordable! I save so much money and time not buying eyebrow pencils and filling in my brows, that alone is priceless. PLUS, the result is so natural!! How long is the healing time? About a month, but honestly after they peel the first time (about 5 days after your appointment) they look perfect (you don't even realize you still have some time to heal). I love my eyebrows and if you don't love yours, book an appointment today (Amber is the best in Reno and her schedule fills up fast!!) I already booked my touch up for 2022! I can't even begin to express how happy I am with my results. Amber is seriously gifted and has a vision. I told her that I liked my eyebrows natural and a little wild and she bladed just the right spots to give me the look I wanted. I waited to post this so that I did not do this out of anger. Over a year ago I went in to see Amber about doing my brows. I had told her that I had went through cancer and had very little brows to work with. She said this was not a problem. By the time my appointment came I was so excited as I had seen the work she had done on her website. When I went in her shop was very clean and very relaxing. I felt good and thought I would have a great experience. It took Amber about 2 hours to do my brows. I should her a picture of what they looked like before the cancer and asked her to get them as close as possible. When she was done I was a little surprised that they were darker than what I expected being that I'm blonde. She assured me that they would lighten up as time passed. When I got home my family even noticed how dark they were but I told them what she said. Over the next two days I started to get commits about how one was higher than the other and how one looked more tattoo on and the other had more hair strokes. I also noticed this but continued to do everything Amber said to do. After a week I called her and told her about one being higher and also one being darker. She said when I came in for the touch up she would fix all of that. So I just waited it out and followed all of the instructions she gave me. On my next appointment she seemed a little put out when I told her I was not totally happy with them. She said she would fix them . During the appointment she seemed like she was in a hurry and told me that women my age (62) our skin doesn't take the dye very well! Ok so if she knew this why didn't she tell me in the beginning? When she was done I looked at them and they seemed ok but she acted as if just wanted to be done with me. After I left and when home my husband noticed that one was still higher than the other one. At that point I was done. I have now been told by another permanent makeup company that it would be best if I just have them taken off and start over. I feel very disappointed especially since I had just went through cancer and thought this would be a good pick me up. I feel like maybe if you have eyebrows and something for her to go off of she will do a good job, but not if you don't have eyebrow at all. I can't say enough good things about Amber. The paperwork seemed like a lot. At times, I thought I was initialing for redundant points and didn't really like initialing where it said if I see someone else, they'll refuse my business. I think there are other ways to address that without refusing someone. And then I thought the only way I would get another service is if I don't like the result or move away from Reno so I got over it. Aside from that, everything was amazing. I did microblading in Sac in early 2017 and though I then liked it, they added an arch that went above my natural brow, which 2.5 years later is still a noticeable reddish tint. I thought if I got it redone, the contrast would take away from the discoloration. Throughout the process, Amber was a joy to chat with. We had a lot in common so the appointment was fun. Some major differences between Amber and the other company was when I saw the finished result, it looked good!! Previously, there was swelling and really dark colors, but I could see what it was going to look like after the healing at the end of the appt. Another major thing I loved was the healing process. The previous two times I had this done, my eyebrows scabbed and peeled like I had a disease. With her post process care and instructions, there was little to no scabbing compared to what I was used. She even extended the time in which I apply the ointment to try to heal the damaged skin above my eyebrows from the previous microblading. Coming from someone who has worked with someone else in this arena, I can without a doubt say Amber is much better! read more
