Yelp is encouraging me to write a review of this location, as I checked in once coming home from the desert. As far as Walgreen's go-- this place seems good. Its clean, the staff was friendly and the store seemed well stocked with all the lovely, lovely crap that I like to find at a Walgreens. I got my summer pair of flip-flops for under $5. This is a decent enough Walgreen's. Usual selection of make up, non-perishable groceries, greeting cards, and toiletries. Ok pharmacy, although sometimes they are a bit on the slow side. We have had some issues with them not processing the correct insurance information (my dad has the same name and also uses Walgreen's, albeit in another state) a few times, but they've always taken care of it. It is so wrong for a business to not respond to customers concerns. They spend considerable funds to get our business just to lose it by inconsideration. I was notified (voice mail) to refill a prescription, which I did. I received a voice mail that it was ready for pick up. I was waiting in line (only one in front of me). The line grew to 9 people with no help at the counter. A car drove up and immediately a staff member went to the window. I finally got to the line and picked up the notified prescription. I just put the bag in the drawer. Several days later I pulled out the bag, took the prescription out and noticed it was less than half filled. They put the number on the label and reduced my refills. There was no mention at anytime that this was a partial fill. You can imagine this inconvenience. No medication, doctors visit way ahead to get the refill just due to a store wanting to make money. No consideration for the customer. I went to the store to get it corrected and asked for the manager. She did nothing, not even an apology. No attempt to fill the prescription correctly. She did mention that the "system" should have notified but after I explained that the "system" responds to entries from her employees she had nothing to say. Please consider all the reviews before spending any money here and please notice there are no responses from management to address these concerns. read more

I'm going to this Walgreen's first from now on! Needed a flu vaccination. Went to a competitor first (sorry); person not there, went to a grocery store pharmacy; they weren't giving shots at that time. Got to Walgreen's off North McCarran. Jeff was SO nice and helpful. Even though he was busy with the drive-thru window, then an influx of customers inside, no one waited long and he stayed upbeat and friendly! Carla administered the vaccine. She, too, was friendly and nice. She's good - I didn't even feel the needle! The whole experience was quick, and pleasant! Thank you! read more

The pharmacy at this location is the worst ever. Every single time I have tried to fill a prescription there has been some sort of hassle requiring either multiple telephone calls or trips back and forth to the store. Examples are: 1. Doctor did not call in the prescription - yet when I called the doctor they claim it was called in. Had this issue numerous times yet do not have this problem when I use another pharmacy. 2. Insurance won't cover this formula - yet when I call my insurance company they tell me that it is covered and when they contact the pharmacy it is filled. 3. We don't have this in stock and it'll take several days to come in. Yet when I ask can you get it from another walgreens they say yes, no problem. We can have it ready by the end of the day. 4. You are not in our system. I've been getting prescriptions from here for years and you had my refill information on file. 5. Insurance won't cover this medication and retail cost is $50. Called my insurance company and they do cover it. After may discussions with the pharmacy they finally admitted they had deleted my insurance information. 6. Your insurance company's system is down. Yet I call my insurance company and get right through. They claim they are up and running. 7. Your prescription will be ready after 5pm. Ummm. it never is because there is always some sort of problem preventing them from actually filling it. Feedback from my insurance company is they either get disconnect or Walgreens pharmacy does not answer the phone. This happens on a regular basis while I am on hold and my insurance company is trying to straighten them out. Bottom line....Walgreens has lost my business. My time is far to precious to be spending running back and forth trying to get prescriptions filled. I'm searching for a pharmacy that i can drop off a prescription and be reasonably confident I can pick it up when they say it will be ready. read more

I have immense respect for those who work in pharmacy (as my best friend does). I frequent Wal-Greens occasionally to get refills or OTC drugs for the occasional ailment. The pharmacy folks are always so friendly - it takes a while to get through the line sometimes, but it's totally not their fault. Today's experience was actually really good. I was waiting in the drive-through lane (I know, I can be lazy) for about 10 minutes, but the pharm tech was so sweet and kind. She called me "sweetie" - which somehow makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. She was thorough and made sure I knew what she was giving me (or rather my husband). The inside staff is just as great, on my several trips here to get OTC drugs. They smile, help me if I need it and tell me to "be well," which I think is really kind. If a pharmacy is unable to help their clients in a reasonable amount of time, they should either, expand, or close the drive-up window (which can average a 45 minute wait behind other cars) and focus on walk-in customers. Walgreens is trying to cut their bottom-line by not expanding or hiring enough staff to appropriately serve the amount of customers and refill prep required - and it shows. The stress it puts on the customers, not to mention the staff, is preposterous. How many one stars have you gotten, think it's time to make some changes??? read more

Ive gone here for years but due to a recent visit I will never be going back. Some brat in the make up section was so rude to me and treated me terribly. Mumbling under her breath and huffing around like a 4 year old. I am shocked, I have never met a rude employee there until this girl. Its inappropriate to act like that as a teenager. It's walgreens so I don't expect too much. I get greeted every time I go in this location! To me that's a big deal, especially from a convenience store. Seems the people working there are sincerely nice. I see walgreens as the bigger, better, 7-11, minus the alcohol. read more

I was unable to reach my physician until late on a Saturday. She called in a prescription and they had it ready when I arrived. It was right before closing. They were wonderful and went out of their way to prepare it quickly. read more

I dropped off a prescription at 8:25am and was told they were very backed up and it would take an hour or hour and a half and they would call me when it was ready. I said I would wait for it because I was the ONLY customer in the entire store and I couldn't imagine it taking that long. After 25 minutes of watching them fill prescriptions and put them into the bins behind the cash register for people who weren't even there, I went to the counter and asked about my prescription. The woman who had "helped" me initially loudly whispered to her coworker that she had told me it would be an hour or more. Her estimate was correct. They made me wait for an hour while 5 staff members filled other prescriptions and put them into the bins for people to pick up later. I wasn't expecting them to drop everything and fill my prescription first because I was there waiting, but as the only customer at the pharmacy, I should have been helped in a timely and courteous manner. During my hourlong wait, in which only one other customer came to pick up a prescription (which was modified for him on the spot when he asked for the quantity to be cut in half so that the cost would go down), I was made very aware of how little my business means to them. I have been using this Pharmacy since we moved here last June. They send out texts that are inaccurate, they do not have mediations, they often need to contact doc and ask that I call back -not once of 3 times was my message returned. We are leaving out of the country tomorrow-it took 4 trips to get the prescription right. We were told to come by first thing this morning (8am) and it would be ready. Got there at 8:45 on way to work and prescription not filled-the person said I would need to wait 15 min (I was at auto pickup) and then hung up the phone so I could not every ask a question. On top of that there was not one other customer waiting -so why was i told to wait 15 min to fill the order? I left to work and had to come back again (5th attempt) to get medication prior to trip. They are poorly managed and do not follow thru. Time to change pharmacy...upon return. read more

I have several prescriptions that I take daily for multiple medical conditions. Almost every time I use this pharmacy there is some issue or problem. The pharmacy tech will tell me one thing on the phone and I drive over to pick up meds and they aren't ready or it's too early for a refill. It seems like the techs don't communicate with the pharmacist or vice versa. This has happened many times over two years. I have never had so many problems with any other pharmacy. Most recently, I was shorted a few pills on my pain medication. I called pharmacy to report as soon as I got home and counted them. I realize that there was no way for me to prove that it was their error however, I wanted to bring it to the pharmacy managers attention. I was told they would be doing an investigation and inventory and that I would be getting a call back to let me know the findings. What a shock that I have never heard a thing and that was over a month ago. Plus, I suffered being shorted meds that I need for my medical issues through no fault of my own. Now it is my duty apparently, to count every pill every time I pick up a prescription. I no longer trust them and I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Do not go to this pharmacy if you value your health or sanity. Not only will they give you the run around on price and availability for your prescription, they'll often tell you the doctor changed your prescription (which they did not) or come up with a wide array of excuses as to why they can't fill it fully. Honestly They act like junkies in there when it comes to certain medications. I take Ativan as part of treatment for heart issues and you would think I was trying to take their private stash of the medication, and when it comes to refills, good luck there. Once month you might be able to pick it up five days before you run out, the next month they won't give it to you until the day you do run out. They even do this often with my Verapamil, which is a calcium channel blocker used for heart problems. The staff is beyond rude when you question or challenge anything, I've even been on the phone in a 3-way call with my doctor and after the call is over, they'll deny the doctor authorized any refills. You will also randomly find stray pills in your medications. Once month I had two stray pills for cancer in my heart medication, another time I had antiviral medication mixed in. The pharmacist there has no attention to detail, nor care for the customer, and as I said above...they lie. read more

Went to pick up my photos-I ordered 2 days ago on the Walgreens website, and received an email confirmation about them be ready on time. Went to pick them up on my lunch break today. Waisted my time and I am so very irritated about this, because after politely waiting around for some help both times, because neither employee had a clue what they were doing in the photo center. Neither employee could find my printed photos but did find me in the computer. I understand things can become hectic but this was just an unproffessional way to organize orders, so shr decided to reprint the photos after not finding them anywhere, the photos were printed with a white strip at the end. They were not adjusted anymore they had been printed without the adjustments. I know its not a huge deal but its ridiculous that I put in all the time to send in these photos for my save the dates and they can't print some simple photos. Going to CVS for now on. read more

The photo department at this location has been very helpful to me. I've had many standard photo orders, which always came on time and high quality. We had a nice young man take our passport photos there. But the day before Christmas, I lost an order of calendars. Jim was incredibly helpful, making lots of calls to locate them for me. He never gave up until this situation was solved to our satisfaction. I am extremely grateful. read more
