Thought the appt based flu vaccines were a great idea- so far have been waiting 40 minutes. Next year will go to my clinic.

When I…read moreasked the employee with a lip piercing if there were any available, she told me there wasn't and apologized. I then asked her a few other questions about what she thought I should use, and then she went on a long tangent about how I was going to burn my hair off despite the fact that I have been doing my hair at home for 3+ years. I explained this to her and even showed her photos of what I've done in the past, but she didn't care and continued to lecture me. In the end, she was trying to convince me to use the Ulta salon service, which I have never used in the past and always came out with healthy, even hair. It was just a very odd and upsetting experience, as she felt she knew more than I did about my own hair, and was attempting to pressure me into something I didn't want to do.

So many employees with no customer service. Maybe its some sort of new training I dont know about…read more Come to work, look pretty and try to have minimal or no interaction with customers. Only interact with other employees and talk about how your date went with Billy Bob Jr and make sure the customer hears you! And if a customer approaches you act shocked as if you have not seen them even though you guys have been basically standing shoulder to shoulder. I will be honest , the whole thing about employees talking about what Billy Bob Jr did x, y and z ,doesn't bother me. I go in and I grab what I need and bye! What bothers me about this location is WHERE ARE ALL YOUR PRODUCTS. Either the shelves are empty or half of the products have been clearly opened by a customer and no one has replaced them. I started to think maybe the reason they dont have much product is because their in a popular location, always busy. But even if that is true, that is no reason to have this place looking like a makeup aisle from Walmart, hot mess. Now remember what I wrote that " I dont care about employees talking about x y and z on Billy Bob Jr" , well i dont. What I do care is when you do approach them for help or whatever it is, its like your talking to a wall. Dont get me wrong not all of their employees are like this. The nice ones of course are busy with other customers ! Why? because their easy to approach OR the nice employee reached out to the confused looking customer. So all you have left are the Regina George's of Ulta. Just go to Target their always stupid busy but hey at least their shelves are stocked up.

This store was a bit mixed up, where Fenty & other somewhat prestigious brands was near NYX and LA Colors and it felt like they just put all the makeup on one side which is nice in some ways. It for sure takes some time to get used too. Store was well stocked and pretty clean. They had plenty of staff around. For sure a location where they babysit you. They will ask you every 3-5 minutes if you need help finding anything which is annoying when you are just browsing aisle to aisle. Definitely didn't make it through many sections because of this. They do carry a lot of good brands & many options for makeup, skincare and hair care. Rewards program is decent here as well.

This place is a hidden gem! If you do theatre, circus (lookin' at you, Circus Juventas families),…read moreor anything else that requires stage makeup, this is your spot. They have EVERYTHING, and the staff is friendly & knowledgeable. I found out about Norcostco last year, when we had a pre-performance makeup emergency: The online retailer I'd ordered from took its sweet time to process the order and then chose "molasses in January" shipping, so I was in a blind panic the night before the show. After 2648395 rounds of internet searches & follow-up phone calls looking for one highly specific Ben Nye product, I found Norcostco -- and they're RIGHT HERE! An independent, local business that has All The Things! (I mean, they're not exactly "right here" for us -- I have to drive across the whole #%&! metro to get there -- but it's *so* worth the trip. You can see the products, use the testers, play around, and walk out with what you need. Fantastic!)

I had been wanting to test out the Ben Nye make up line and was happy to learn a few months back…read morethat they carried it. They actually tons of theatrical makeup and costumes. Finding the place can be challenging since it's on a residential block (unexpected) and the store front doesn't face the street. However I did a bit of research on google maps beforehand and checked out the street view, which helped. Upon entering the woman at the register didn't bother to look up, say hello, smile or acknowledge that someone had walked in. Therefore I figured it was the kind of place where you fend for yourself and headed straight to the makeup section. BIG MISTAKE! About 5 minutes later another women appeared out of nowhere and in a frustrated tone wanted to know what we needed and more importantly if we opened any of the items. She then told us we should have rang "the bell" for help. Keep in mind there wasn't a bell in the area or a sign instructing to do so. Anyway after smoothing things over she showed us where the test makeup and brushes were located (several feet from the display.) It was a rather small section with a polly-pocket sized mirror and bad lighting. The employee helped us with the items and answered questions we had in a more polite/cordial tone. However, due to the lighting and mirror issue my friend and I were constantly having to go back to the costume section where there was a full length mirror and better lighting. Ultimately, we left with a few items (would have been more if we could tell how the colors actually looked against our skin). My tips for you are: 1) Use your GPS or checkout a street view of the place if it's your first time visiting and you're unfamiliar with the area. 2) RING THE BELL (located at the front register). 3) Bring your own mirror and lights. Just kidding! But seriously don't rely on the ones in the testing section, just check yourself out in the mirror by the costumes. 4) If you can, do research beforehand to determine which products you're interested in b/c they're are several options. Otherwise, just be sure to allow ample time so you can test out the items and find your match. 5) Skip the pricey department store makeup and try the items here (I can only vouch for Ben Nye) which cost far less, are of good quality and made to withstand heat/lights/etc.
