I found a blue beach towel to use that wasn't to expensive. I eyed the flip flops for sale and didn't find any I liked. The best pair of flip flops I ever owned was from a Walgreens. Sergio, photo department staff, was very helpful in making sure I get what I want. I accidentally put the wrong date on my photobook which happened to be a birthday gift for a special someone whose loved one recently passed. Sergio, redid the whole photobook at no extra charge and gave me the one with wrong date half off, because I wanted it still. I was really surprised and happy for this. I was expecting to pay more to fix my photobook since it was my mistake but Sergio and Walgreens went over and beyond to make this customer happy. Thank you!!! And the photobooks and wood panels I ordered were excellent. They looked professionally made. The pictures came out clear which is surprising since a lot of the pictures in the photobooks were old and some I took pictures of very old printed pictures. This review is for the pharmacy... If you are thinking of choosing Walgreens on Railroad as your pharmacy, please do yourself a favor and go to CVS, Rite-Aid or maybe another Walgreens. This place is horrible, it may seem convenient with the drive-thru, but the line is usually pretty long. If there's a long line for the drive-thru - go inside and if the line is short outside you bet that it's packed inside. Somedays it's packed inside and outside, that's when I decide to come back another day. That's the game I play everytime I come to pick up my meds. If I can actually pick them up, that is.. Why? Well one of my meds is a controlled substance. Let's say, for example, it's due on the 25th and of course the date to pick up varies, but it's every 30 days. Today was my date to pick up my pain medication. I called this morning at 10 am to speak to the pharmacist to make sure it would be ready today, since it's due.. Pharmacist says it will be ready in 2 hours so I think oh good, no problems this time. Well, it is 5 pm and it's not ready. I already know the drill, it will be ready at 6pm when the pharmacy closes and I lose a day of medication. There is always a problem when it's a controlled prescription. I called in two other regular meds today and tell me why they were ready in less than an hour. Also for opiods/controlled meds, if you don't pick up right away and you wait a few days, the 30 days start from the date of pick up. If you're a person with chronic pain, I don't recommend this pharmacy for filling your medication. It's also impossible to get through when you call, it usually gets routed to their call center and those agents aren't very much help. I've seen people cry and yell on several occasions just because they're sick or in pain and can't get their meds. It's a headache, please save yourself the trouble and pick another pharmacy. read more

This parking lot is always super busy. It's a little small so it's always a hassle to get in and out. The main thing I like about this store is they have a drive through. It's always busy but there's a handful of pharmacies in town do you can't really complain. Inside is just like any other Walgreens but this one seems to always have a lot of people. Overall ok but their pharmacy is pretty good. I would recommend this location mainly due to the pharmacy. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I Called yesterday to refill my grandmother's medications and the guy on the phone said ok they should be ready by tomorrow after 11am. I go in today after work with my grandma. The women that "helped" were completely rude. The lady said "I can't do anything to help you go to pick up" after waiting over 20 minutes in line and the lady in the pick up or check in counter was no better. I told her I called yesterday to refill she starts saying "the medication has already been picked up last month and you have to call the Doctors office...oh their closed now" not helpful at all and extremely rude poor customer service. Such a shame that this Walgreens is run so poorly. The aisles are stocked fine and the employees are helpful enough, but the pharmacy department is a complete disaster. If they can't staff the department adequately for the volume of customers they have, they should lose their contract with the county medical. The lines in the pharmacy both in store and in the drive though are always ridiculously long and they always seem to have a hiccup with billing the insurance or with filling the prescriptions. This is a private company not a government agency and I honestly expect better from a private company. We're leaving the area soon and thankfully won't ever have to come here again. read more

Back in October, I went to this Walgreens to go get a flu shot as part of the VA program. I asked the person working in the pharmacy department about getting a flu shot under the VA program, she told me that the VA partnership with Walgreens did not start until December 1, which at the time was almost two months away. A few days later I went to the Walgreens in Bay Point and they took care of me that same day. This place is super sketch at night! And like other Yelpers have pointed out, the employee are clueless, slow-moving, inefficient as all get out!! I showed up, found what I needed, and got in line. When it was my turn, the lady started scanning some items that were aleady on the counter. I let her know that the items weren't mine, and handed her the batteries I wanted to purchase. Without speaking, she looks past me at something, so I turn around... There's a lady walking over with some items in her arms which she places on the counter -- and the employee continues scanning these items!! OH OK, I'm NOT STANDING HERE AT ALL; just push my purchase aside! Oh yes, OF COURSE I HAVE ALL NIGHT! (super sarcasm) Apparently, the shopper forgot a few things and went back to shop some more. Worst experience ever at a Walgreens. I went in one day because the website stated that their inventory for an item was 10+. Their website has always been accurate with inventory at all the stores I went to. Wether it was 3-5 or 6-9, it was always accurate. When I went into hos store they had 3 items on the shelf, when the inventory said 10+. I went up and down the aisles because sometime they are misplaced. Didn't find the items I was looking for so I waited for help. Didnt see a single employee on the sales floor. I went to the cosmetic section and waited for the lady in front of me to finish checking out. After a long wait, it was my turn. I told the employee "I know this isn't your department, but can you help me find more of this item. It says online that there are more in stock and that they could possibly be in the back." She immediately told me that whatever they have in the aisle is what they have and that she can't check. She didn't bother calling for another employee to help. There was no one else in line behind me, so she could've put more effort in helping someone. She didnt look like she wanted to be there and I didn't just see that in our interaction, but also with the customer in front of me, which is why it took so long. There are alot of unemployed people who would want your job and provide better CS than she did. I was already in rush, so I just left and didn't bother trying to get help from someone else. If you want to catch COVID then this is the place to go. Worst pharmacy experiences out of any. Today I went a second time to try and get a booster from Walgreens. First, they have you wait with people who are there coughing and sneezing constantly. Then when you do finally get to the window, the pharmacist assts act like your not there for about two minutes before acknowledging you're there. Then they ask you for your ID and vaccine card. Then they type and type and type and type. When I asked hime why he's typing so much and keeping me here with all these people coughing and hacking he tells me suddenly that he has to verify who O am. He had my state issued ID and my vaccine card and he's trying to identify me??? I finally had enough AGAIN and started to walk out. But this time I decided to inform the manager of this horrible process. The manager was nothing over 26 and looked at me like a deer in headlights. He stuttered a few times trying figure out a solution and finally I just said forget it. Obviously this whole company is full of idiots leading idiots. This Walgreens made my fiance go cold turkey on her medication (Not a pain killer). They would not fill the prescription for some nonsense reason, saying that insurance wouldn't pay for it because they interpreted that she wasn't supposed to run out of meds yet, even though my fiance was taking the meds exactly as the dr instructed. They also did not let her purchase them with cash. This is not a medication that its even possible to abuse and does not have harmful side effects. This also affected our breastfeeding daughter. They also did not inform us of any problem with the medication. Use that automated system Walgreens! This has caused us, especially her, a lot of stress and mental anguish. THIS PLACE DOES SUCK!!!!! **This pharmacy (maybe other locations) has switched to electronic faxing!!!** I e-mailed Walgreens corporate at the website provided, I never expected a call back from the DM! I explained the numerous issues & he apologized & I explained how many people I've seen in front of me drive off furious because their perscription wasn't filled. Although I hate to see other people experience such a disasterous example for running a business, but I felt like I was the only person. After speaking w/the district manager he said they recently switched to electronic faxing instead of paper. Big mistake!!!!!!!!!! My doctor faxed my meds 5 times (!!!!!!!) then finally I had to make a very embarrassing call to my doctor to ask him to call it in!! Then they said I would get a text when my meds were ready. When she confirmed my phone number, my mouth dropped to the floor! Not even close! I have no idea how they got that number! Of course, I called multiple times to get it right. Perhaps with the fact that they are the busiest pharmacy in the area, they deserve a break especially when they are using a different system.
