Convenience stores sure have come a long way. I recently went here to pick up some prescriptions and I was blown away with the store. The lighting was bright so you could see everything. The aisles were not so tall that you couldn't see over them. There were signs everywhere so it made it easy to find what you were looking for. The customer service at the pharmacy was top notch. They provided me with an estimated wait time and were spot on. They rang up my additional items right there. Even though they were busy each person received such great attention and smiling from everyone there it was heartening. It is also nice to know that they have a take care clinic available right in the store. I recommend if unsung it to schedule an appointment online. read more

Friendly and helpful. But beware a homeless lady lives in the womens bathroom, they say they know shes there. She has a shopping cart there with all her stuff. Shes friendly, but she was hanging out in the only stall eating popcorn when I had to pee. read more

What can I say, this is a Walgreens. They are conveniently open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a 2 lane drive-thru pharmacy. I primarily come to this Walgreens to pick up my prescription and my experience is always hit-or-miss. The pharmacy can be EXTREMELY SLOWWWW. Especially if you come here at night since they are located near the hospitals so there is usually a small line of people filling prescriptions. I had one experience probably 6 months ago where I decided to go inside the store one night so I could pick up a soda or something with my prescription. There were maybe 3 or 4 people in line in front of me. I waited in line for over half an hour. During this time, any car that went through the drive thru was being served more promptly than the people standing there in line. When I finally got to the counter, the staff member was very apologetic that I had to wait so long, although I know it was not her fault, they were just severely understaffed. I do have to say though, that in recent months, they have been more efficient with their operations whenever I have come through here. read more

Well, I was a fan until I came to fill my dogs prescription here. I dropped it off during a busy time and they said one hour to fill. I come back and they say they didn't fill it because of how much it cost. They wanted to make sure I was ok with the high price. Umm...how about call me or something? Too bad. I like their variety in products, however they always have peddlers there asking for money and making people uncomfortable, but they don't seem to do anything about it. Also almost every single time I go to the pharmacy, they never have my prescription ready, even after they've called me to tell me it was ready. One day I called it in about 3 days early, just to make sure I could stop by anytime before I ran out to pick up my prescription.It turned out I wasn't able to pick it up until the day that I ran out anyway, and even though I had called in three days earlier, it still wasn't ready! To add to this frustration, I have gone in and waited for up to 3 hours for prescription to be ready, when I was told it would only take 15 to 30 minutes. Lastly, they have the automatic prescription refill, when they call you to tell you that it's ready when your prescription runs out. I signed up for this, however they didn't call me the last time I had a refillb ready because they weren't aware it needed to be refilled, and the time before that they called me to tell me it was ready and when I showed up it wasn't ready. I'm sick of waiting here and eating my time for my prescriptions. I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

I'm tired of getting out of my car to walk inside, only to be accosted by AGGRESSIVE beggars who have the audacity to tell you what they would like you to buy for them, once you say you have no cash!! I don't normally write reviews. When I get good service, I continue frequenting the business. When I don't, I move on. My experience at Walgreens last night was not only bad customer service, but was deeply jarring. If you don't have any kindness or compassion in you, please, stay away from the medical field. It was a hard night. I stopped at Walgreens on my way home from an urgent care facility. I was in pain, partially deaf, and just needing my antibiotics so I could go home. I sat there for 40 minutes waiting for my prescription to be filled. I didn't complain, I was in severe pain, tears running down my cheeks, but quiet and patient. I paid over $200 for my one item, and asked the pharmacy tech if they recommended anything for nausea. He was clearly freaked out by the fact that while I was polite, I had clearly been crying. He went to get the pharmacist who came back with "what seems to be the problem here?". I once again, politely asked about a recommendation for otc nausea medication. I apologized even, and explained I was in pain. The pharmacist mumbled something. I explained I was having hearing problems, pointed at the medication I had just paid for, and asked what isle I could find nausea medication at. The pharmacist told me to just look for it and walked away. I was treated like scum. I'm professional, mild mannered, and not asking for narcotics. I had seen them assist the previous customer locate constipation medicine. But of course, he was a white man, not in pain, and he did not look like he had been crying. The only person that showed kindness and human compassion, was the clerk at the front desk. He helped me pay with my card for ginger ale, and treated me like a person. I will never set foot on a Walgreens again. I don't expect a lot from a pharmacy, but I don't need abuse and discrimination on top of an ear infection. read more

Was shopping on May 15th roughly around 19:30 at the Walgreens at 3402 N Central Ave in Phoenix AZ and asked to use the restroom. I was told there wasn't one, my reply was "I've used it before". The two women I asked then replied "it's not a public restroom" and completely out of nowhere one of them said "whats wrong old man, can't hold it"... I was absolutely speechless, I sat my basket down and said what ? And she said it again, laughing. I lost it.. Then asked for a manager, the other female said she was the manager and that I needed to leave the store or she would call the police. I said please do, I'd done nothing wrong.. I asked for their names, they refused to give them so I went to take their photo with my phone and was told I couldn't. At that point the female that said she was the manager picked up a basket at tried to knock my phone from my hand hitting me with it. Needless to say all hell broke loose as I tried asking for help from other employees who all just stood there laughing. I finally left the store in total shock and disbelief. The next day I contacted the district manager who assured me he would take care of it (I suggested he look at the security camera footage to verify my story) and the photo's I had. He did return my call and apologized, said he'd addressed the issue. However returning to the store a week later both employees were still there, so nothing was done to the two females who verbally and physically abused me in that store. I was shocked a business allows their employees to treat customers as I was that night, this clearly a sign of a business that cares nothing about its customers and also weak and very poor management. read more

I love my Walgreen's pharmacy! Always open, fast. The computer calls me to remind me for refills and I get the 90 day prescriptions to save trips. I went there today for my son with only partial info on his Insurance (no card) they took care of everything with no hassles and had it filled quick. read more

This Walgreens has everything and is nicely designed and way easier to move through than any other Walgreens I have been to. And if I were reviewing just the store I would say it was fantastic. But my experience focused primarily on the take care clinic and it's inefficiency. I was needing a physical for employment and despite having to pay out of pocket, I thought this would be far more convenient than going to a primary care doctor. I checked in and waited about a half hour (which wasn't very long). I was than greeted by someone (I have no idea if he was a doctor, a nurse or the receptionist). This person never introduced himself, walked me into a room with someone else's stuff. He was a young guy in his 20s with clearly very little professional experience. When I told him I wanted a physical, he let out a big sigh as if I was causing him an inconvenience. He asked me why I hasn't filled out paperwork (which were nowhere to be seen) and grabbed the papers I had brought (for the physical). He stared at the papers and looked at them as if they were written in a foreign language. He let out another sigh. It was at this point that he wanted to start the exam, but it was also at this point that I decided I wasn't comfortable with this person ( who was frazzled, unprofessional and still hadn't introduced himself to me). My five minutes with him felt more like talking to someone from the ghetto than someone supposed to be in the medical profession and I had no intention of this person examining me! Justin, the pharmacy manager, is far out. Very dude, man. He gets it. There's a lof of ins, a lot of outs, a lot of what-have-yous in the pharmacy business, but he abides. I love to give a good review. Nothing makes me happier than spreading the news about a great business. However, sometimes an experience is particularly bad, and that has to be shared too. This one star review is for their in-store clinic: After making an appointment online, I arrived at the clinic and the electronic kiosk would not let me complete the sign in process. Since the exam room door was closed and I could hear voices in the room, I sat down to wait. Half an hour later, a woman emerged and called another name. I told her I had a 2:00 pm appointment and had been waiting since that time. This practitioner proceeded to ask me and the next patient in line, "What am I supposed to do about this?" And also asked if the woman would wait while I had my appointment. When the woman said no, the practitioner rudely told me I should have knocked on the door to ask for help. I told her I would never knock on a medical exam room door when it was closed and a patient was being seen. She told me I'd just have to come back later. Really??? The long and short of this tale is that she should have apologized for her mistake. She had obviously been on a phone call and not stepped out to see if anyone was waiting. To blame a customer and then loudly berate them in front of a room full of people is unacceptable and the height of unprofessionalism. Save yourself the drama and go to Urgent Care at 3rd Ave and Thomas. They're friendly AND professional! read more

The slowest pharmacy ever! Came in from the ER with 3 prescriptions needing filled. Get here they aren't busy, great! Still takes them over an hour. I'm a previous pharmacy tech, it does. It take over an hour to fill three common prescriptions! One of the techs, (his name was Billy)not the pharmacist "consulted" me about my medicines, since when is that a "thing" last I checked by law the pharmacy had to do all consults. Unless things have changed. Get into car, out of habit I count the medicine before leaving the property and sure enough, one of the main medications I needed to fight the virus, I'm shorted 8 capsules. I get it's late, it's 10pm, the pharmacy is open until midnight, these guys may be tired and ready to go home, but you done screw up someone's medication, short them or give them something totally different. Got to consult with the pharmacist when I went back in about the missing capsules, the tech claimed they were counted by machine, and next thing I know he is nowhere to be seen, disappear because you screwed up Billy? The pharmacist Justin T. went over the medicine and was very helpful, turns out I have to eat with one of them and since I have a sensitive stomach I would have gotten sick by not eating with the tablet. Was contemplating whether or not to contact Walgreens corporate. Just too many negatives with this location tonight unfortunately, but I will be calling them today. Crappy customer service is one thing but when you consult and tell the customer something you have zero knowledge about and aren't supposed to, then short them on there medicine, that then poses a problem. read more

I still think this is the best Walgreens but you have remodeled it and I can't find anything! You took half of the candy bars away, I have been wanting a MUNCH, or at least a Mr. Peanut bar, trust me we want more than Hershey's and Mars candy. I made an appointment online to go to their minute clinic, on Tuesday afternoon(i had a severe UTI and wasnt able to get into my doc) They had an appointment available for 2:00 so i had to leave work at 1:40 (its in walking distance). When i arrivedtheir systems were down so i was unable to sign in on their machine, so i went to the pharmacy and told them i was there for my 2:00 appt. They told me to just let the nurse know once i see her pop her head out the door. 2:20 rolls around and still nothing ( there is probably 4 others waiting too) i go back to the pharmacy just to make sure they havent forgotten about me and about 10 min later the nurse comes out. I walk up to her and tell her im here for the 2:00 and she is as rude as can be and says"sorry but im going to lunch i wont be able to see you until after 4" WTF?! I left in tears, had to go to a different one that was 30 miles away (in rush hour traffic). Very unprofessional! Nobody was on the same page or knew what was going on and the NP on duty was very rude and unapologetic! I dont recommend going here! read more

This Walgreens has the worse pharmacy. Giving them a one star is even too much. There always so sloooow, and they never have prescription ready. The information they send you never matches up with the information they have on their system. I will drive across town and or pay double to avoid this pharmacy. read more

This is specifically for their pharmacy. The absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to! The only reason I came here was because it was the only one in town that had a very specific medicine that was prescribed for me. I was at a previous cvs who called Walgreens to confirm they had the medicine and was told the wait was approximately 15-30 minutes. So I get to Walgreens 10 mins later. I stood at the counter with nobody up front for at least 5 minutes and had to flag down the first person I saw only to be ignored by them. Another person walks up to the counter after another couple minutes to help me and tells me they have to check if they have the medicine in stock. I said ok even tho I called ahead and knew they did. That same guy never came back. Another person comes back to help me and tells me the wait will be 30 minutes. So I sit and wait 35 minutes and still the medicine wasn't ready. How many people does it take to fill a prescription at this Walgreens?! There were literally like 15 people working behind that counter all with the amazing ability to ignore all their customers in line behind me! Astounding! After waiting 5 mins past the max expected wait time, I then walk up to the counter now with a bunch of other people also irritated waiting for their prescriptions and asked how much longer. A different person at the counter tells me for that specific medicine, the wait time is 1.5 hours! Wtf?!? I was in immense pain at this point and told them I needed it now. So that same person that told me 1.5 hours leaves for a split minute and comes back while another guy hands him my bag with my prescription filled all of a sudden! If I weren't in pain I would have asked them how they miraculously came upon a prescription that supposedly took 1.5 hours to fill but showed up right when I begged in agony. I had two prescriptions to fill, the pain medicine and a nausea medicine. But only the pain one was filled and they told me the nausea prescription will take longer so I said I'll just come back for it and asked for the prescription paper back. I waited about 5 minutes for them to find the paper and he comes back and says they can't find it. I just wanted to leave at that point so I said keep it I will come back later to pick it up. They better have my paper when I come back. How the hell does a pharmacy with so many people working behind the counter that they bump into one another as they pass by lose a prescription that was just handed to them all the while making a whole group of customers irritated? So I've been using Walgreens for quite some time now and today was the straw that broke the camel's back I placed a refill request last night through Thier app ,I called this morning to check status of my medication I get cooperate office back east I ask about my 5 refills I had placed last night they said they only received 4 I was then transferred to my local Walgreens and they only reflect 3 refills submitted ??? I know right I'm trying to figure out what happened to the others lol, so when I went in to pick up they had 1 ready LMAO, 1 of the others was pending approval I showed the empty bottle to the tech he takes it back and comes back and says "oh the pharmacist made a mistake and label it wrong there are no refills left" LMFAO I wonder if it was even my medicine take care guys... I recently needed to get updated on one of my immunizations and since I wasn't able to get into my PCP right away I looked online and found that Walgreens offered "Same Day Walk In Appointments" at this location. I rush after work and drive 12 miles to this location (this location was the closest one to offer the specific vaccine I needed), I get there at 4:05pm, sign in on the Kiosk and it says that their next available appointment wasn't until 7:00pm. I find the General Manager of the store and asked why its telling me that I cant be seen until 7:00pm and his response was that its by appointment only and I mentioned to him that online it says it says walk ins are welcome. He suggests that I talk to the physician when she finished with the patient she was with. While I waited a gentleman goes and signs in and has a seat. While talking to him he mentioned he didn't have an appointment and just walked in and it gave him a 4:40pm appointment for his issue, hence I had already been waiting 20 minutes prior to him coming in and signing up to see the physician. When the physician comes out with her patient she sees me walking up to her and closes the door even though she hears me saying "excuse me ma'am". I mentioned to her that I signed in and that it gave me an appointment until 7:00pm when all I needed was a vaccine and if there was any way I could get squeezed into her schedule and her response was I'll work you in IF I can, otherwise you'll have to wait till your appointment. Her attitude and the way she responded made me feel she was fed up with what she was doing and I didn't feel any confidence in putting my health in her hands. Now I work in the health field and know that patient care and compassion is a must and there was none of that here. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for any type of healthcare issue. read more

I really like this Walgreens location. For starters, they're open 24 hours a day, which is great when you need something late. I've had a number of posters printed here through the photo department and they've always been great about making sure they look exactly as I want (even if that means re-printing). The staff is friendly too. I had a chest cold recently and was unsure what type of medicine to get for it. The pharmacist in the store came out from behind the desk and helped me pick out medicine for it, which I thought was an uncommonly courteous and generous thing to do. Last night 4/4/14 we attempted to make a digital print and were having issues. The young man at photo was very unhelpful and rude. We ordered our print and went in to pick it up today and we ordered a thumbnail instead of a 4x6. The young woman today Margold(?) salvaged it and presented us with a beautiful 8x10 in about 5 minutes! Thank you so much for turning what was a bad experience into an awesome experience. In addition I ended up buying some things I would have purchased elsewhere. read more
