Im actually surprised that so few stars were given to this pharmacy. Im very critical of pharmacys and have done NUMEROUS crap reviews of them. I rarely find one that cares, and let me tell you, this one cares. They got SLAMMED with so many more patients due to the closure of the Rite Aid up the street and they handled it. This is a very small Walgreens, and they have high volume due to Laguna Woods. I have so many monthly medications and the pharmacist herself is so patient with me. I end up calling once a month and all she does is take her time, which she doesnt have, to take care of me, and answer the same old questions. Im just impressed and really appreciate this kind of customer service. We dont see that kind of service these days. read more

The staff was great, but Walgreens prescription policy for my eye drops floored me! The doctor prescribed 7.5 (3 bottles) of eyes drops. I have purchased these at Ralph's and CVS multiple times. They are about $340 for the prescription. I picked them up and opened the package when I got home, there were only two bottles and they had charged the full amount. I called them and they said Walgreens policy is to only provide an 80-day supply and that was the two bottles and the correct cost. I was stuck with it, so I used up the two bottles in 60 days and went to refill, they said they would have to charge a penalty for an early refill. This is critical medication!! I moved my prescription to Amazon. They filled it same day. Gave me three bottles (7.5 as prescribed) and labeled it a 75 day supply for $247! I am never going back to Walgreens. read more

They are the worst at helping people they say that you need a prescription for insulin syringes. You do not need a prescription for that. What do they want people to get HIV hepatitis? The person that was there had red hair he was the main pharmacist and he was beyond rude and disrespectful towards me. I've never had anybody treat me so badly and made me feel horrible about asking for insulin syringes. He made me feel like I was doing something bad. read more

BEWARE IF YOU RING THE DRIVE-THRU BELL!!! THEY WILL MAKE YOU WAIT LONGER WHILE THEY CHIT CHAT WITH EACH OTHER INSIDE!!! When they do FINALLY "help you" the Pharmacy Technicians are snippy and rude! I waited 15 minutes in the drive-thru before FINALLY being helped! Ridiculous!!! All of my medications are supposed to be on auto-fill. However, I found out that only one was put on auto-fill. The only time I ever seem to not have a problem at this location is when they have floater Pharmacists who actually help you vs the ladies (Pharmacists AND Pharmacy Technicians) during the week that can't seem to be bothered. The Pharm Tech was taking so freaking long to get my meds that I ended up having to leave as they were going to make me late for work. The Laguna Woods, Walgreens posts hours, that their pharmacist take lunch. Apparently, the pharmacist don't have any idea what that posted lunch time is, because they take lunch whenever they want to and they return from lunch whenever they want to. Today they were supposed to be back from lunch at 2 PM. I left the drive-through window line, which was eight cars at that point, at 2:20, and the restaurant was still locked shot. I have never had such a disrespectful encounter with a pharmacy worker in my life. I when through the Walgreen's drive through on 12/08/24 at approximately 3:45pm. The young woman running the drive through was throwing items at me through the box! She asked for my birth date and then threw the clipboard, pen, and receipt into the box. The receipt wasn't attached to the clipboard and the pen wasn't in the holder. Because she just threw everything at me, the pen rolled back into the box where I could reach it. I told her I could reach the pen, and she, again, threw it at me through the box. I then respectfully signed the receipt, clipped the receipt to the clipboard and placed the pen in the holder to gave it back to her. I told the Walgreen's employee she was being rude, and she threw my prescriptions into the box an walked away without a single word. The only time she actually spoke to me was to ask for my date of birth. I walked into the pharmacy and asked for her name. I told her and the lead Pharmacist, Veronica, that throwing things in that manner at customers is unacceptable. The employee just yelled at me and looked totally smug in her right to behave in such a rude manner. I told her her bad attitude had totally escalated a routine prescription pick-up. I asked for the employee's name and told them I would report the incident to their district manager, and both the employee and the Lead Pharmacist, Veronica, refused. She was also not wearing a name tag. I asked numerous times for her name, and I told them I would be reporting this incident, and everyone refused. The lead Pharmacists said she was responsible for the employee so I didn't need her name. At no point in time was an apology offered. I will no longer shop at any Walgreens. I'm moving my prescriptions immediately. read more

I was denied the legal series Twinrix rapid schedule at this location, but administered at another Walgreens in Irvine. We were traveling out of the country, and if I didn't call around to another Walgreens my health would've been placed in danger. This location needs to be reported. I asked several times why and they said 'Walgreens is not trained to give the rapid schedule' which was a lie. read more

Wow. What a terrible experience. The pharm tech was incompetent and took her over 35 minutes to process my insurance for the covid vaccine while my kid waited anxiously for his shot. Hectic pharmacy with everyone running around inside seeming flustered and disorganized. Luckily the pharmacist who administered the shot was nice but the excessive wait and lack of efficiency was alarming. My 90 year old uncle needed a Cov shot. I made the appointment and I showed up on time. He waited outside (warm day, 85 degrees, windows down, very cold water). First they wanted to see Driver's license and then insurance. I gave them both. Them Rene said my uncle's ins denied payment. She asked for new Medicare ID card, which I did not have. She said she would look it up, but could not find it (a local CVS found it in 8 min). Then I asked "Isn't it free to anyone, no ins needed, just any form of ID with his name on it?" Rene said "Yes, but since you have shown an ins card, now I cannot give it to you." I am so sorry that we came to this inexperienced woman. My uncle waited over 30 min. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE! I went to the drive thru to pickup a prescription, was told it was 61. I asked if my insurance was covering it. After a couple of minutes the guy at the window asked me to come in. I parked, went in and waited for them to call my insurance. After 10 mins I was told it would take 7-10 days to clear thru my insurance. I told them I would just pay and work it out for next month. The woman pharmacist came up and told me the price now was $72. WHAT?? It went up $11 in 12 mins????? She said it was because they had to call my insurance company and the price today went up from yesterday, when I brought my prescription in to be filled. How does that even make sense??? WHAT A COMPLETE SCAM!! The two women there were completely RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! DON'T waste your time or money!! I just left Walgreens on El Toro Road in Laguna Hills...honestly, I am in complete disbelief regarding a visit for my flu and pneumonia vaccine. I arrived on time for my appointment, checked in, redid my information they lost and corrected the pharmacy who had the wrong vaccines set up for me. Things happen not a problem. I was told to sit down and they would be right with me. After sitting for 30 minutes I asked the pharmacist, "Veronica", how much longer the wait would be. Instead of a answer she looked at me, and in the most aggressive nasty way said , "If you want your vaccinations sit down and when she was ready she would do it or else I could leave". I told her I just needed a time frame because I had to be somewhere and I wanted to let my next appointment know I would be running late. She would not give me a answer. I waited another 20 minutes, she called me in and after having to listen to her complain about her busy day she literally said she did not need, quote,"MY SHIT OR ANYONE ELSES SHIT TODAY,"exact words (I have the proof) Then she seemed to vent powerfully when she jammed the two needles in my arm which really hurt. Now I am worried she may of done something else...I am still breathing as of now. I understand we all have a bad day but even in your worse days do you curse and behave like this to a customer or anybody like this...I don't know of any professional thus far who would act like this. I give this a -10 location and I am following up with corporate. Can't wait to see her face when she denies it...I have the proof. My doctor's office called in a single prescription at 1:30 this afternoon. I called at 8:25 this evening to find out if it's ready for pickup. I got an automated menu system that told me that it was not and was being processed. I hit the button to talk to a human being, so I can find out whether or not they had my insurance information and what the co-pay would be. Also when it would be ready for pickup. I was connected to music on hold, with a recording that said all of the agents were busy helping other people and there were more than three ahead of me, but if I stayed on the line they would eventually get to me. I stayed on the line in about 25 minutes later, the more than three became one customer ahead of me. There it remained for another 15 minutes until the One customer went away, and I was left with just wait and they would be with me. After about 10 minutes that recording stopped cycling and I was left with music on hold alone until 9:35 what a voice came on the line and said "Pharmacy." She explained to me that they didn't have any insurance information for me and I would have to pay full price for the medication. I told her I had my insurance card in hand and could read her any information she needed. She said that she had to physically scan it into her system, although there is no barcode at all on the card. Again I offered to read the numbers, and she said she couldn't help me. She suggested I call my insurance company, which I had over an hour earlier, and they were closed and had a 72-hour response time to questions about drug coverage. After waiting over an hour and 10 minutes, I came away with absolutely nothing accept the information that they are now closed and I would have to wait until tomorrow anyway. Stay away from Walgreens if you are sick and need your medication today. read more

This place has the worst customer service. Unfortunately, my wife has to take both doses of COVID vaccines here, so we had to experience it twice. Everytime, the average wait to get her shot was at least an hour, which we understand, due to understaffing in all businesses. The issue is their attitude. We went in today to get my wife's second dose of COVID vaccine. She is currently 9 months pregnant. We arrived a little earlier than our appointment time, and we asked the lady( Veronica) if that is ok, and she said yes, we just need to wait for the vaccine to thaw. We were the first inline checked in for the vaccine and right behind us a long line of customers came in for the vaccine. We filled out the forms and waited. The customers came after us has been called in one by one to get their COVID shot, then the family with kids, then another family with kids. All the customers behind us in line has gotten their shots and left. At this point, my wife has been sitting and waiting for over an hour with 9 months pregnacy, which is very uncomforting. So she asked Veronica when is her shot going to be ready and hoping to hear that we are next inline. Instead, she got greeded with Veronica's very annoyed face and hush voice asking my wife "what time is it? What time is your appointment?", implying that we should not even ask her the question. Our appointment was at 11:45am, we arrived at 10:45, and at the time it's 11:50 already. At this point we have been waiting over an hour and the attitude Veronica gave us were highly unprofessional as a medical professional or as any service professionals. We got the shot and left the place extremely upset without doing anything wrong. Again, we understand the short of staff in all businesses, we just thought Walgreens should evaluate the employees about their work ethics. After all it is a pharmacy that supposed to provide help for people. We will never go back to that Walgreens again. read more

Worst service I have ever received. The "head pharmacist" Aileen was extremely rude. I came in here on my lunch break from work to get a prescription filled because I was local. I was told by Aileen she did not "feel comfortable" filling my prescription because I did not live in the area. I live in Anaheim hills, less than 20 minutes away. As soon as she told me she wasn't comfortable she threw my prescription at me and turned around and walked away and did not respond when I asked her why. I then asked her name; and she hesitantly told me "Aileen" and then went behind some shelves so she did not have to "deal with me" anymore. Walgreens on El Toro is by far & aways the best pharmacy in OC. Renee has been fantastic; the most caring and patient centric pharmacist I've ever known. I've been using the store for over 10 years for my key meds. Renee has always gone the extra mile to help whether it's callbacks or help with reimbursement. Sadly the store is now down to a much smaller crew than before , but they are all longtimers who really know what they're doing; it's a real team. Suki always has a smile & is a very sweet person at the counter & drive thru. ; I forget the name of the woman tech who takes in all new RXs, but she also has a very warm & compassionate personality, always willing to help where others don't. All 3 of them are extremely hardworking to make sure they take good care of you, & they are a solid team. Walgreens is lucky to have such a dedicated & hardworking team supporting what's probably one of their busiest stores. Thank each of you for all your support you've given me over the years!! Busy pharmacy-only location near Laguna Woods. Sometimes overwhelmed with the volume of prescriptions they get here. As when I had to pick up a faxed Rx for my mother, a "quick" pick up for a common medication that took over 40 minutes to fill. No, I wasn't in the drive thru, thankfully. There was a flurry of activity for the prescription, with phone calls back and forth to the doctor's office, couldn't read the faxed Rx, got the wrong name on the account, call back to the doctor's office, etc., etc. It'll be right up in ten to fifteen minutes... Several times. The doctor's office routinely uses Walgreens, so I had just said ok, send it there. Oops. There's a CVS pharmacy across the street, I could go next door to Mother's Market and eat if I was waiting over there. CVS also has a restroom... read more

I have to truly thank this pharmacy. If it were not for the staff at Wallgreens and of Laurie Who took the time to understand my medical needs. Laurie went out of her way to suggest a doctor by the name of Standiford Helm. I am so thankful for her suggestion as I have been trying to find a doctor that could treat my medical needs. I've been in California for four years and have suffered with not being able to find the right doctor. I did not ask her for help but she could she I needed help and took the time to go out of her busy day and give me a recommendation that is truly a blessing and a lifesaver at the same time. Furthermore the rest of the staff at Wallgreens the manager Renée king as well as the other pharmacists have gone above and beyond. I've never seen that in any pharmacy in my life. This is one of the best pharmacies around. It has the feeling of a small town pharmacy. It is nice to get in and get out. Although the line to pick up may be a little long during peak hours, the staff is the friendliest around. I recommend this pharmacy to anyone looking for a staff that truly cares about you as a person. Horrible service wait time over 15 mins at the drive up window with wrong medication given to me that wasn't even my script the people that work here have no clue about anything passing you off with your unanswered question to someone else that doesn't even speak proper ENGLISH !!!!!!!
