I came here to pick up some Mucinex for an ill family member. Rite Aid is the closet pharmacy to my home and I wanted to make a quick trip of it. I found the medication quickly. The price looked high but that seems to be the way of the world now. So I get home and reflect on the price I paid for the medicine. It was $29.99 for Mucinex Sinus-Max 24 liquid gels. A Google search shows Target has the same medicine for $18.89 and CVS is at $23.49. I did not expect to pay convenience store prices at a major drugstore chain. My fault for not doing my research. Have been getting prescriptions at our Rite Aid in Mt Shasta CA for about 6 months. My husband needed a pain killer recently. The druggist refused saying since I didn't have insurance he couldn't fill it...I've never heard of this & I've worked in the medical industry for 20 yrs. The worst part was being yelled at in front of other customers. After talking to numerous professionals we still couldn't understand. Rite Aid as a store is ok. You might want to rethink using the pharmacy for prescriptions. I have used them for 4 years now, but no more. Everytime a particular employee goes over my refills which I do via mobile phone, she calls saying that I didn't pay. Ummm, I am looking at the text from rote aid saying I paid, she keeps arguing with me! This has happened numerous times and I am tired of it. It's always the same person and she needs retraining, it's clear she doesn't know how to process a prescription that has been paid for. I never have this issue with other pharmacy employees. Extremely rude staff at the pharmacy. I was supposed to have some prescription med delivered to my house today. I waited all day until later in the afternoon when I got a voicemail from the pharmacy saying that it was returned because nobody was home. So I went there to pick it up. Waited in line, then when it was my turn, the older lady at the counter told me to step back in a very rude tone so she can help someone else. I waited again... Then my turn to get help, she had an attitude already just asking for my birthday. Once I told her, she said, you don't have anything here! I said how could it be. Then she said it louder, you don't have anything here! All of that while looking at me like I annoyed her by questioning her. I then said I got a voicemail saying that my med was returned today. Then she said, what you mean by return? You were supposed to be home for the delivery! Really? Did she think I missed the delivery on purpose so I have to drive there and waste both of hers and my time to go pick it up? I sat at home all day waiting for the package. Anyway, she left and came back with my package, threw it on the counter. I took it and left. No goodbye exchange from us at all. Needless to say, I will be taking my business somewhere else. The pharmacy is terrible. They hired an evil, rude woman (Ms Piggy) who is condescending and attacks you if you ask her a question. She has no skills in dealing with seniors and she's just mean. Every time I pick up my medication she's terrible. I will not be returning to Rite Aid. Walgreens is down the street or CVS ... I don't need this abuse. The pharmacy was extremely disorganized, staff were not helpful at all, and extremely rude. Being new to this pharmacy with several prescriptions to pick up, the staff person at the counter seemed annoyed with me that I had many prescriptions. She also was annoyed that the staff putting the prescriptions together did not put them all in one bag so I kept having to ask her to go back and check for more because I didn't have everything I needed. After she insisted I had everything, I told her I was still missing a prescription so I was sent over to the check-in/drop off side of the counter. I think she was just over helping me and didn't want to work with me any longer. When I went over to the drop off counter, I spoke to the gentleman who was also clearly annoyed that I was asking him to look to see if my doctor had put in the prescription. He argued with me that I had everything I needed, that he can't just put in a refill (which I never asked for) and then basically argued with me about my request. I told him that he wasn't very helpful and left with some of my meds. I will never go back to this pharmacy and wouldn't recommend this pharmacy to anyone. No wonder Rite Aides are closing all over the place. What a terrible experience! I rather take my money elsewhere. read more

I had been having problems getting my medication for months due to shortages. No other pharmacy helped me like this Rite Aid. The shortages have continued and I have stayed with this pharmacy. They continue to work with me. I may have to wait a little but they always get my medication for me. I have to compliment Steve the pharmacist in particular. He is so kind and caring. Even if I have gotten there shortly before closing he always takes his time with me. Anywhere else people look at the clock and rush you so they can leave on time, but not Steve, he puts the customer first. So glad I found this Rite Aid. read more

I have seriously never gotten such awful customer service in my life. This ONLY pertains to the pharmacy. When I come in store the non pharmacy workers are amazing. Everyone at the pharmacy has absolutely no interpersonal or customer service skills. I have gotten serious attitude by multiple people that work at that pharmacy as if I am annoying them with questions and just being there The first time I came an older women with long hair and glasses was extremely annoyed with me. They had my prescription on hold due to the cost and when I talked to another lady she was rude and said "oh well you didn't have a phone number on your account so we couldn't tell you". I have gotten prescriptions there before, no phone number being on my account was their mistake and had nothing to do with me. I would of gladly provided the other few times. The attitude isn't necessary. I decided to try again this month and hope I get someone else that is more willing to help, when I called Rite Aid David answered the phone and sounded extremely condescending and annoyed I was even calling. My insurance says one thing, they say the other and I am the one dealing with getting them the correct info instead of them helping the customer or even being polite about it. He honestly could use a class in customer service. I would be talking and explaining something to him and he would put me on hold without even saying "can I please put you on hold" instead put me on hold MID SENTENCE! Oh, also this last time they DID have my number and weren't going to fill my prescription again for the same reason but instead I had to call and ask and got the same reason "oh we didn't know if you wanted it due to the cost". Pure laziness on their part. It took me years to get help and be brave enough to get the medication I need and they have made me feel awful. Experiences like the pharmacy at RiteAid are the reason there are so many people scared to get mental health help. Shame on RiteAid. read more

I tried calling this location several times to see if something was in stock and NOBODY answers the phone! So, I drove there, looked in the window and there were NO customers at the counter (see photo) . I called again, walked in and could hear the phone ringing, and STILL NOBODY ANSWERED THE PHONE! I was greeted by 2 people saying welcome. I ask about the item I was looking for and was told they were out of stock (phone still ringing by the register). So, I then asked why nobody answers the phone and I was told they've been busy. THE STORE HAD ONE CUSTOMER! LAZY! LAZY! LAZY! They could not pick up a phone and say please hold? In the Pharmacy , Sheri and Steve and Peter is the best. They bend over backwards to make sure prescriptions are processed as fast as possible. When there is issues with insurance coverage, Sheri is the expert and does the best to get the prescription processed the best way. THANK YOU guys for your 10+ years of service. I take a medication daily, to stay at a therapeutic level t can't miss one. Last month the day I went to get my medication it wasn't there. They said come back tomorrow as they just ordered it. Happened three more days before I got it. Last week I called in to order the refill and was told it would be available for pick up the next day. Big surprise it wasn't ready and was told to come back. It's now 4 days later and they said the pharmacist just ordered it and to call tomorrow to see if it came in. I visited this rite aid for the first time recently and was really impressed with the store and the service! In the 5 short minutes of my visit, I was offered assistance by three different people! I'm not accustomed to even seeing three different employees at one time in similar competing stores, let alone expecting any of them to proactively offer assistance. As I went to check out, the cashier (a fourth person!) was friendly and helpful. I would say that similar competing stores, and even other rite aids, aren't commonly regarded for amazing customer service. Some may be ok, but I've never been "wow'd" by one. Finally! After four prior trips to this location they finally had vanilla ice cream! The fact that they had it and had not previously had this flavor gives me hope for the future! I was in the store this morning. The guy in front of me struggled to come up with the money for his purchases and the clerk was trying to explain how much more he needed. The guy started to get upset, the manager arrived to help, then the guy blew up and started with a stream of vulgar comments!! The manager calmly explained again how much was due to no avail. The man left the store screaming a steady stream of vulgar remarks to the staff. Hats off to the calm staff dealing with a very unpleasant customer on the last day of 2021. read more

I called at 9:05 to see if my prescription was ready. After 20 minutes and 19 seconds on hold no one bothered to pick up and respond. Being frustrated I walked over to rite aid only to find that my prescription would not be ready for another 15 minutes. That's 45 minutes of my life wasted. zero star for the cashier staff but I gave 3 stars bc the pharmacist was nice. I'm came in today to buy the Pulse Oximetry so I went straight to the pharmacy area and ask about it. The Pharmcist was kind of enough to tell me to go ask the cashier in the front. There were 2 left and against the back wall. I went up an asked for the item. One of the cashier was looking for me and the other cashier was holding it 2 and refused to sell it to me. I told her that the Pharmcist sent me to the front to purchase one. She refused and stated a male customer called and told her to hold two of them. I said are you sure it could have been the Pharmcist that called. We are went back and forth for a period of time. I demand the cashier go back to the Pharmcist and asked him directly. She came up to the front spoke with the other cashier(she was the one looking for me) and handed me one. I was so annoyed and the back and forth could have been prevented. She could have pick up the phone or walk back there and asked instead of just carrying the two boxes and refusing to sell it. This number does not work I have tried from 3 different phones and they were 3 different types. AGAIN PLEASE FIX YOUR NUMBER. I'm glad I found this rite aid right by my house! I don't have to drive all the way to Irvine for my double scoop! The only downside was that my favorites, pecan praline and pistachio nut were out. :( I had to get two different flavors. Wah wah. I instead got strawberry shortcake and mint chocolate chip. They did the job, but it would of been fantastic if my two flavors were available. The guy serving us gave us such big scoops I had to ask for an extra bowl to keep the tower from toppling over! This Rite Aid is pretty large in size and is convenient for me as I live nearby. I don't typically use it for the pharmacy, however, I will use it when I need over the counter medications in the middle of the night, or some random household items. They usually have what I need. They are fairly high in price but that's what you pay for at a convenience store so it is expected. I also come here for the Thriftys ice cream which is amazing! They have a ton of flavors and are always coming up with new ones. It's also cheap ! The employees here are all kind and i have not come across any issues. They have a private parking lot making parking easy as well. If you need a convenience store and you are in the area, it's not a bad option! read more
