Unfortunately our joy was cut short when my daughter started crying during her Bibbidi Bobbidi appointment and we were asked to leave without a refund. We showed up early and we were asked to wait. Once we were helped, the experience felt rushed. After selecting the package we wanted, we were escorted to a room where around other 7 little girls were having their own experience. My daughter got overwhelmed and refused to get her hair done and started crying. As I was trying to comfort her, the employee helping us told my wife "sorry, we cannot have her crying in here" (a little empathy goes a long way). Obviously, we didn't want her crying either and had we known this would happen, we would've never had booked it. When we asked for a refund, we were told it was not refundable. The employee grabbed a bag and packed all the things in the package we picked and had us leave. Nowhere on the website or receipt does it state you'll be kicked out and not be refunded for a service that was not delivered. Her birthday was turned sour.

I didn't notice them here when I visited in 2024, so this was kind of a nice surprise. They now carry the Starbucks x Disney collab mugs, which makes it way easier if you don't want to search all over the parks. Quick heads-up though: the Starbucks locations in Downtown Disney only have the regular California "Been There" mugs. They don't carry the Disney collab versions.

Steffany was our cashier and she was fantastic! She noticed my aunt had a Baymax item and told us that there was a really good discount on the Baymax Cuddleez plush. They were all towards the middle back of the store so if she didn't tell us we would have completely missed it! I'm so grateful for her mentioning it because she could have just rung us up and we would have been on our way. She took that extra step with us and I'm glad she did. Now my aunt has a great and cuddly souvenir! I will happily come back one day for the great products and the great service.

They say it's modeled after fancy olden days Los Angeles department stores which is kind of cool. Even more cool, Elias was Walt Disney's Dad's name so the shop is named after his father. I'd call Elias & Co as a general souvenir gift shop at Disneyland where you'll find a ton of clothes and other fairly standard Disney items. Tons of Mickey ears, bags, even some watches & jewerly. The huge store is divided into four sections: Men's, Women's, Children's and Jewelry. It's been helpful for me in particular when I needed to buy socks and ended up getting some cute Disney footsie covers in a bind. If you have an Annual Pass, they do offer the discount here which is nice. If nothing else, you can escape the heat or weather for a moment walking down Buena Vista Street thru the store from one end to the other and check out what's for sale instead of trotting down the trove with the masses. Because this is at the front of the park, it can get incredibly busy though! Only for that reason is it probably my least favorite shop at California Adventure. They have a helpful and friendly staff working though, as always is the Disney way!

Oswald's resembles a 1920s style gas station and is themed to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, one of Walt Disney's earliest cartoon creations! The building is located in Buena street, with the architecture similar to old Hollywood! The interior is still retro gas station themed and has details like oil cans, vintage tools, and other décor! Inside the store, there is a variety of merchandise! There is hats, ears, pins, and other Disney themed souvenirs. This shop isn't large, however, it is open before rope drop! It's one of the popular first stops you can go to and shop! You'll also find other theme park essentials like water and sunscreen! Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was created back in 1927 and helped to pave the way for Mickey Mouse! When Disney regained Oswald in 2006, Oswald became part of the Disney family again! This is a great shop and a must stop by if you're going to pick up a quick souvenir before exiting the theme park!

My stepdaughter Erica loves Pop-Ups and Disney, but if she is unwilling to pay the $30.00 entrance fee it speaks volumes about the pop-up, but the you can enter the store for free. The store ( https://bit.ly/2ZgBgqM ), like the Pop-Up is all about the Mouse, but unlike the Pop-Up there is an equal amount of merchandise dedicated to the Disney Mouse without a Y-chromosome. Just to the right of the entrance is a display of Mouse Ears ( https://bit.ly/2YsQ9ZU ) from the opening day of all six parks. To the left of the entrance, there are several exclusive items ( https://bit.ly/2JYtL2w ) from the artists working at the Wonderground Gallery in Downtown Disney. We were warmly greeted upon entering the store and the cast members were able answer our questions with relative easy. As we worked our way through the store, my lovely wife found a t-shirt ( https://bit.ly/2LMdn7f ) she was interested in which is a bit of a rarity since her favorite character is Donald Duck and Disney doesn't carry a large amount of merchandise with the likeness of Disney's favorite fowl. If there had been a churro on the t-shirt, it would have been perfect, but even without the churro it was worth the $34.99 purchase price. Just to the left of the sales counter ( https://bit.ly/30V4iMW ), there are some ears which you can get a Pop-Up Disney! patch embroidered on, a stuffed Mickey toy, an exclusive t-shirt and some Mickey Ears Beats Headphones. There is a Pop-Up Disney M-I-C-K-E-Y pin series to be had and on August the 1st the shop will be selling the limited edition (2000) fourth letter ("K") pin for A Mickey Celebration. The "K" pin will retail for $16.99 and feature Sorcerer Mickey waving a wand. Continuing to tour the store, I found a really loud sweater and hat ( https://bit.ly/2Yrchj2 ) on display. These items were so bright even a blind gay man would say, "Oh dear Christ! Those are loud! This is not Carnival." The only advantage of wearing clothing like this is if you ever get lost, the astronauts on the international space station will be able to spot you! I thought the tutti-frutti lollipop and donut Minnie ears were particularly cute and unique. In addition to the t-shirt Laina purchased, there was several other sweet themed t-shirts, magnets and key chains with another area with more traditional Mickey items. The display neared to the entrance of the pop-up contained some really cool Mickey Birthday Ears ( https://bit.ly/2GtyFT1 ), Mickey Popcorn Buckets with some banana and raspberry flavored kettle corn and Pop-Up Disney! Tumblers. I thought the Mickey Birthday Ears were really nice looking, but they would have been even been better if they had lit up. The last display ( https://bit.ly/2GyPzQa ) we looked at had Trutti-Frutti Mickey Lollipops, Mickey Crisped Rice Cereal Treats, more Mickey Popcorn Buckets and Caramel and Kettle Corn Popcorn bags. The only problem with these treats is every time I see them on the floor I think back to a scene from Conan the Barbarian where Conan is eating some meat on a stick: Conan: It's good. Subotai: We don't know how long it was there. Rohlinism: If you have to guess about how long a food item has been on display, I guess you shouldn't eat it! If you are a fan of Disney and Mickey and Minnie in particular, the store offers some unique items for a limited time because the Pop-Up! It may technically be a hat store, but the real focus is embroidered Mickey ears, and there are so many fun designs that it's hard not to stop and browse. I love how easy it is to personalize a pair and immediately feel more in the Disney spirit. Even if I don't buy anything, popping in here always sets the tone for a good day wandering down Main Street.

There is a large selection here and you can even get basic embroidery done here. There was a wait at the other embroidery spot next door and I was on my way out of the park. I popped into Mad Hatter and they had time to embroider the hat I bought on Main Street at a different store the same day. The premium embroidery for Script font is $7.99 plus tax. The Basic cursive is cheaper but I opted for Script. Unfortunately, they are also limited to a few colors as opposed to the options available at the other embroidery spot. The other spot next door has a more advanced machine with more colors and fonts to choose from. I was in a hurry so I decided it was fine and chose purple. I had them embroider my name on my new hat. It was quick and I was out of the park in record time. If you have the time and want more options head to the other spot, but if you don't want to wait and are okay with the limited options, go to Mad Hatter for your embroidery needs.
