Pharmacy Review: My…read moredoctor sent a prescription for me to this CVS. On the website, it said that they didn't have it in stock and it was ordered; it would take about 2 business days. Ten days later there was still no updates. I called the pharmacy but was never able to reach a person. There was a voicemail option that mentioned that they would call me back in a hour. I've called twice in two days, I've heard nothing, crickets. I decided to transfer the prescription to a different CVS, and the same thing happened. I asked my doctor for an alternative medication since this one was out of stock at both CVS locations for about two weeks now. The new prescription was sent, they had it in stock, and I was able to pick it up the same day. Luckily this wasn't a life saving medicine or I'd be out of luck. 1 star for the initial experience but I bumped it to 2.5 stars since they were able to fill the alternative prescription the same day. They need to revamp their customer service system. I used to work in customer service, this baffles me. I would never leave a customer hanging; I always find a resolution for them.

Sign up for the CVS card to get coupons. The pharmacy is okay, they seem to communicate a tad bit better online regarding prescription updates versus the one in Canton. However, since the prescription I needed was out of stock, I never got any further updates; it was just stuck in limbo. I had to request a new prescription from my doctor. CVS was founded in Lowell, MA in 1963 and headquartered in Woonsocket, RI. There are approximately 9,967 locations in the US and PR. They sell prescriptions, beauty products, OTC drugs, film & photo services, greeting cards, snacks, and seasonal items. They also have Minute clinic which has physician assistants and family nurse practitioners on duty. This service is only at select CVS'. They can treat, diagnose, write prescriptions for common illnesses. They provide vaccinations for flu, pneumonia, etc. they can treat minor wounds, provide routine lab test, health screenings, and various other services. They didn't have this where I came from in Florida so that is nice to see.

I inserted the items into the bag and the girl at the register asks "would you like to buy some tape to seal your bag?" Keep in mind, there is a packing tape gun sitting on the counter behind her, which I make reference to. And the Asst Manager (bald guy with glasses and a goat-tee) who is sitting at the counter says to "Oh, that's the store tape, we don't use it for customers.' I just bought a $4 shipping bag and you want me to spend another $6 on tape because you won't use a 4 inch piece of tape from the "store tape?" Great customer service. Occasionally some one in front of me doesn't understand the process or there insurance but that is not the pharmacies fault. I always renew my precriptions using the Walgreens App. On occasion when I get a prescription that is not covered by insurance they are quick to find another way to discount the medication. 99% of my medications are covered with zero out of pocket for me. This is the real deal, a friendly pharmacist that knows everyone's name and gives personal attention to his customers. I saw him spend nearly ten minutes giving some poor soul with a hacking cough incredibly detailed instructions on when to take her two prescriptions. It's a pretty good sized store that also sells toys, greetings cards, and even beer, wine, and liquor! Something for everyone!

They don't have a full grocery section, but you can find flour, oil, seasonings and some other "dry" items. The shelves are all very well stocked. This Walmart is a bit behind on some of the latest releases. Prior to going to the store you may utilize the store locator on their website, to identify which location has your item in stock. Currently, in mid October they have all of the Halloween items out and Christmas too. If that doesn't tell you it's a big Walmart, well it's big. I typically find what I need and go to the register. It's unlikely that I'd find someone looking to be helpful. Overall, not a bad Walmart.

I gave it 3 because it's small, doesn't have a full grocery store, and self checkout lines are usually long when I'm there. This location is smaller that the ones I've been to but it's super clean. They have non refrigerated groceries; I usually get baby food, other pantry items, and toiletries here. I haven't had to interact with any employees so no review on that.

There's a mailbox next to the entrance if you have mail. I went after the pharmacy closed, and it was dead. Yet the cashier gave his hello as soon as I walked in, asked if I needed help.... I'm not sure there was anyone else working. But they have self check out so who needs extra humans? The store is fairly large, and pretty clean. It was a standard store though, with everything you need or want from a CVS. No comments on the pharmacy because I had no interactions with them.
