if I could give negative stars I would. Not the first issue I've had but today is stupid. I had Rx for pain meds, steroids and antiviral for shingles. When I called in the morning for a time when I could pick them up, due to my drive, was told end of day or maybe the next. PAIN meds...you don't get pain meds and steroids if you aren't in pain. This was on Monday. Raised a fit and they got them done, picked them up, drove home to find a box of meds with a 21 pill count had only 2 pills. When I called, they asked me how it happened like I work in the pharmacy. Finally got a pharmacist to help, promised me the missing rx would ship FedEx that day so I'd have them yesterday. Not great, but manageable. Fast forward to Wednesday and still no rx delivered. When I called I was bounced from the pharmacy, to photo, to the pharmacy, to the front counter, back to the pharmacy where they hung up on me. Called back, finally got them in the pharmacy, sat on hold 12 minutes and the call dropped. I called back, FINALLY got a human again, but no clue where the rx was. I have to call again tomorrow to ask a supervisor, not the pharmacy, my tracking number. When you are sick and in pain this is the absolute last thing you need. I didn't yell, ask for a manager or Karen in any way, but this is bs. If you can't do the job right, find another one! We have very few choices in Payson for meds, even fewer that take my insurance, but i shouldn't have to deal with incompetence when sick and in pain. read more

Online said they had what I needed, in the shade I needed & it was available for pick up. I went in on my way home from work only to find they did not have what I needed. Not sure WHY the app would say they had something they did not other than to get people to come in anyway. Despite not having what I needed, they did attempt to sell me something else because it was 'close enough'. New flash: it wasn't. The poor cashier was riding solo on the floor... I felt for her. Not sure how many employees were hiding in the back, but there were at least 2 that I saw come out, but only when called. Disappointing all around. read more

Not sure why there's so much negativity about the pharmacy. I'm from out of town and I had an accident on the way up with my eyes and I had to get a prescription filled and Shawna was very helpful. She took my information. She was polite. I didn't have to wait no more than 10 minutes And maybe that was a special cause it's my medication, but I didn't see anything wrong with the pharmacy and everybody else seem to be getting helped pretty good so I think maybe somebody just had a little grudge against somebody but I think the Walgreens pharmacy here is worth a try if you live in town. read more

CAROL is the dumbest person I've ever tried communicating with. First she said she's not able to help me in photo. Next morning i come in & shes running the photo dept. I asked her if she has my pictures done, because i got a note that said they would be done in 2 hours. (11:30am). She told me she didnt start processing them until about 5 minutes ago & tells me tovome back in 20 minutes, so i do & she says dont leave... then she goes on BREAK. My time is important. I am disabled & have a service dog.It is not easy to keep going back to Walgreens when she should have had the pictures developed after they were scheduled to be done. It has cost me TIME, FUEL & I'M FRUSTRATED. Carol needsto work picking up litter or something not as complicated as customer service !!! I still do not have ANY of my pictures !!! I have since removed my prescriptions from Walgreens. They have become very undependable. Sometimes the pharmacy isn't open as there is no pharmacist. Prescriptions sit waiting to be filled for a week sometimes. There's just no excuse. read more

I've tried to step away from Walgreens and CVS and stick with private pharmacies due to issues over the last several years and customer service lacking. However, recently I could only find my medication at this location 2 hours away from where I live. Amber was excellent in coordinating with me to ensure that I could obtain my prescription. Always a pleasure to visit this Walgreens. Although, they are understaffed (most likely due to this being a large chain, as someone who also works for a large chain business I know that they are always cutting hours) I always have such a great experience here. Employees are always friendly and go above and beyond to be helpful. I do feel bad for them as I have seen customers yell and scream at them and they keep their composure. I don't understand any of the negative comments because I have had nothing but positive experiences here. read more

We were driving through town and called to see if they had any baby formula in stock at their store. We just wanted to know so we wouldn't have to go out of our way to make an unnecessary stop if they didn't even have any. On the phone she refused to tell me if they had any in the store as they aren't allowed to disclose this information over the phone, and I would have to come in. This is frustrating for a mom during this formula shortage, and so for a store not to be even a little accommodating makes this time even harder. All of this leads to us going out of are way just for them to be completely out of formula, and also to see the 2 women in the front chatting and socializing but couldn't even let us know they were out. read more

Really bad service especially phone service which you better plan on being hold for 30 minutes minimum. And their automated system is worse about 75 percent of the time it says your prescription is in progress call back in a hour.... Even if it's been 3 days. It may be that staff doesn't have proper training or they just don't care enough. When a customer asks you something about items in your store or needs your assistance with something... at the very least, try to help instead of "I don't know anything about that ". For real. I wish I could give ZERO stars. Terrible service the pharmacy staff are stubborn, close minded stuck to their old ways and incompetent. I went to get my 2nd dose covid vaccine. The old pharmacy tech would not understand and could not wrap her head around the fact that I didn't use my insurance for the first dose (didn't have it with me at the time of vaccination). Every time she would try to push the vaccine through the system the insurance would say "too soon to get second shot" BECAUSE I DIDN'T USE THE INSURANCE for the FIRST SHOT !!!! I had my vaccination card which clearly stated when the first shot was administered and the recommended 28 days had clearly passed. She refused to give me the second dose even though regardless of insurance or not THE VACCINE is FREE to ALL US CITIZENS !!! It seemed like a poor excuse to deny me the vaccine. Should not work at a pharmacy if cant troubleshoot simple insurance hiccups. Should not work at a pharmacy of not willing to go above and beyond to get the public vaccinated with the FREE vaccine provided by our government. Drove straight to Walmart pharmacy and got my second dose. read more

I have recently moved to Overgaard, Az. and needed a prescription after seeing a Dr. in Payson. This store was right across the street. The woman who assisted me was extremely rude. I have never been treated with such disrespect from anyone for absolutely no reason. She then told me that my insurance wasn't any good. I know it was good, tried to ask her about it and she said, "sure, I'll stand here and answer your questions, because I don't need to go to lunch". This was after her nastiness beforehand. I drove an hour to get home, checked my insurance and yes, I was covered. The woman was a nitwit. I will never, ever go to that pharmacy again. read more

I had a Covid PCR test done recently using their drive though system in Payson. That went fine, as did getting the results back two days later from Aegis. But Walgreen's local support for helping with the results (positive) were terrible. First, they make it nearly impossible to get past their phone tree to talk to a person. When I finally did after trial and error attempts, the pharmacy person said they will not refer anyone for local treatment services (monoclonal antibody) at the local hospital. That is pathetic since other local testing facilities do just that to help their patients. The hospital requires such referral before providing treatment and I find it impossible to believe Walgreen's pharmacy has no clue. Fortunately, nice people at Banner hospital are helping me work around Walgreen's abandonment. read more

Obviously shes in pain and shes not give any explanation on why it cant be filled even tho we have been getting scripts for over 5 months there. They interrupt you, argue with you and just act like you're really putting them out, filling your prescription. INCREDIBLE! I will NEVER use Walgreen's again in Payson, AZ. If you are trying to redeem a coupon here, beware they have issues. I went in to purchase Crest whitestrips today and I "clipped" a coupon to my device for $10 off this product. They couldn't seem to get the register to deduct it from the total so their suggestion was to call the manufacturer for a rebate even though the coupon clearly states In Store Only! Take your business elsewhere. It is worth driving to the valley to have your prescriptions refilled because the pharmacist and assistants consistently waste your time by providing a time for pick up that is never correct. If you show up on time to pick up your prescription (or soon after) you will be asked to wait while they fill it. Prescriptions called in by the local doctor are somehow consistently lost or delayed. They're also great at providing a couple of pills they have in stock and ask you to come back to pick up the remainder later in the week. This has happened to my family on multiple prescriptions (12 times this year alone) which demonstrates that they are at best oblivious to wasting customer's time or at worst incompetent at running a pharmacy. I've been in town for nearly 3 years and have had the same experiences consistently with my own prescriptions and those of my family members. They might be a great pharmacy, but I can only base my review on their consistently bad customer service. The staff claim to have glitches with computers, phone or fax. My family and I have not once received an apology for wasted time and money. We will go to the Valley from this point onwards and are very disappointed in Walgreens in Payson. read more

I have been using Walgreens to fill my prescriptions for years and only have problems at the Payson location. They never have my prescription ready on time and don't bother to inform me that they won't have it until I go in to pick it up. The staff is rude and acts like everything is a huge inconvenience to them. They don't communicate with each other at all. I will speak with one staff member and come back the next day just to find out that person made no corrections or record of our conversation and have to go through the same issues with someone else. I would rather drive two hours to the valley then have to use this Walgreens pharmacy again. read more
