Beware if you're taking your clothes in... I don't even know…read morewhere to begin. I'm honestly sick to my stomach that I ever brought my clothes here. I've been reselling clothes for a while and usually do very well taking my items to places in Tempe and Scottsdale. I normally make around $800 a month from my clothes, shoes, and accessories. I'm a huge shopaholic and a lot of my items are brand new with tags still attached -- many from Nordstrom and other name brands. I just have to make many trips to these other places because they only do 25 at a time. I decided to bring stuff here because she said I could bring all I wanna to at once. I brought several huge moving boxes and garbage bags full of clothes to Consign Your Design. I even put everything on velvet hangers because I thought it would help keep the clothes nice and wrinkle-free. Nobody told me I would not get my hangers back, so I lost around 80 velvet hangers. That would have been nice to know upfront. A lot of the items I brought in were high-end and trendy brands, including Miss Me jeans, bling pants that she asked a pretty hefty price for usually, brand-new UGGs, and many other name-brand pieces with tags still attached. Months went by, and when I finally checked my account balance, I only had around $100 total. I was honestly shocked. Based on the amount and quality of items I brought in, that comes out to less than 50 cents an item. I checked my account when I was heading up to our cabin. The first time I went in to check on things, another customer was visibly upset because the store had changed systems and apparently people were not getting all the money they were owed. I didn't want to cause a scene or get involved, so I left and decided to check again later. After seeing my own payout, I completely understand why she was upset. I feel completely ripped off. Either their system is a mess or they just rip people off. Either way, I will never consign here again, and I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone bringing in quality name-brand merchandise. you would do better donating it and using a tax write off them bringing your stuff here. When I asked her about it, she says it all depends on what sells. Hmmmmmm yeah well don't see any of my things there so must have sold.

Some pretty amazing donated items for purchase here, especially original wall art, high-end and…read morewell-displayed costume jewelry, some clothing, and some furniture items. All priced at a bargain. They have a nice guy on the premises who will find a way to fit items--in my case, two great end tables--in a small car. Purchases benefit the Humane Society of Sedona and no tax is charged to customers because this is a not-for-profit. I know what you may be thinking, but think closer about it... No matter how exclusive a world-renowned community may be, it may be especially prone to having displaced pets longing for a permanent home I don't know. But I do know that domesticated animals don't think about city, state, manmade borders, they just want to go home. The good citizens of Sedona apparently realize this and donate some really cool clothing and household items here that others, less fortunate, might have no choice but to sell for personal profit.

For over a year now, I'd drive up from Phoenix when I had things to donate. Shop inside the store,…read morethen grab a bite to eat; it was a fun day trip. The staff were alway so kind and thankful when dropping things off, and the store itself had that fun, old- school vibe where it was loosely organized but anything amazing could be waiting in there! I went a few weeks ago, and everything has changed. I had a car full of quality things and they didn't even acknowledge that I was bringing stuff in to them. I had to say hello twice before one of the four people standing around would say hi back. There was no place to put my donations, and no one offered to clear any space. They didn't offer to help unload until we were finished emptying the car! No one said thank you. Meanwhile, they had a bunch of stuff outside they were just giving away for free. As a donor, I found that off-putting. I didn't just drive 90 miles for you to give my things away...I wanted to help the animals. It should have said "pay what you wish" or something, to create value. We went inside to shop, and it's like they're trying to make it a designer boutique. The vibe was sterile. They want $35 for t-shirts with their branding on them! Even the prices of the thrift items have skyrocketed. This was the first time I've left without buying anything. As we were leaving, I noticed that my donations still hadn't been addressed. Like at all. Stuff was piled wherever I had been able to squeeze some space, trying not to land it in the free zone, and it was just cooking in the sun. If I'm in town I may stop there to see what's going on in the shop, but I won't donate there again.

Most of the Outlet stores are CLOSED. I stopped here because…read morethere was an "Art Show" and several open tent type stalls when I passed. The art show consisted of a lot of native American handicrafts, pottery, jewelry, fabric hangings, several gem and mineral pieces (think turquoise and other crystals) Sedona is supposedly some type of center of energy, according to New Agers. Also several original paintings and photographs. I purchased a Ritulite quartz gemstone from one vendor (Laura Adler) because it was very unusual. Laura very kindly threw in a stainless steel necklace! I also purchased two original Photographic Prints from Brent Cox. There are a few of the typical shops: bra/underwear, men's/women's clothing, shoe store and kitchen appliances but beyond that, this place is a bit sad. There is a small tourist stop with a super friendly dude who seems desperate to make a friend. Poor guy probably talks to 1-2 humans only a few times a week. Put that man in sales! The only good shop here was the Gap outlet. Sadly, the store doesn't come up on the Yelp app. Things like this drive me nuts. What's the point of going anywhere if I can't check in! Am I right?!? Despite the shitty stores, the people, shoppers and staff alike were all super friendly. We're definitely not in New York anymore.
