Hey, folks. My husband and I actually stopped shopping at the Walgreens at 526 West 30th about two months ago because when I tell you the level of service is so low. Smh... We were going to the CVS at the corner of 10th Ave and West 23rd Street. We decided to come back to Walgreens and give them another try. BIG MISTAKE. It would be one thing if the majority of the staff were very helpful and pleasant to be around with a couple of rotten apples. Unfortunately, the MAJORITY of the staff on the floor just are not happy to be there and that unhappiness is shared with us, the neighbors and clients that pay their rent and their salary. I will say this... EVERY supervisor I have met since 2020 to give shoutouts or to share negative interactions have been very pleasant and received me with kindness and professionalism. Please note the pharmacy staff have ALWAYS been very pleasant and helpful. There is a tall, slender gentleman with short hair with a grey jacket that is amazing as is the tall, slender gentleman with the glasses dressed in all black that is also great. I normally don't do this but the young woman with the faded, blue hair that sometimes has really cool make up rang me up at the register today, 4/2/2025 at approximately 10:00 a.m. Apparently I didn't bring my items close enough to her on the counter. The stare this young woman gave me along with the gesture she made to grab the items was a lot. She looked so put out and inconvenienced. She rings me up and keeps the items I just paid for close to her body and just stares at me again. The items I just paid for far away from me so I have to reach across the counter. No sweat off my back. I grabbed my items and my receipt and left. Real quick I spend about 40 bucks every time I go to a pharmacy. I go to the pharmacy twice weekly. That equals 320 dollars monthly. If we do the math that's $3,840.00 annually. Ok maybe that's not a ton of money but this is $3840.00 you won't get from my family. Multiply that by your 1 start reviews we're now talking over $10,000 Walgreens is no longer making. You get the picture. I would rather travel out of my way or shop online(which I avoid at all costs) instead of taking a chance with Walgreens at 526 West 30th Street in Manhattan. Dear Walgreens corporate and management, Having multiple employees like that young woman with the faded, blue hair and the nasty attitude is going to be a liability for you over time. I NEVER write reviews but I feel the need to let others know that this is the worst drug store I have ever used. It takes days to get a prescription filled because there is always some kind of issue, and they are impossible to get on the phone to get it resolved. Even if you are getting the same med month to month there is always a delay and they never know what they're doing. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

How can a Walgreens / Duane Reade be 4 stars? Aren't they all the same? It is all about the customer experience and the service. Everyone who works here is excellent. I walk in and the people behind the register say hello. People working inside the store ask if you need anything. The pharmacy staff is super nice. My experience with pharmacies is generally an indifferent tech staff and pharmacists that are downright rude or intensely condescending. at THIS W/DR, the staff is friendly and really get to know the customers that live in the area. An example of the customer service quality? I was in looking for something and they didn't have it (Swiffer wet pads). However, the Walgreens truck just dropped off a ton of stuff, all of it stacked in the aisles. The manager overheard me asking about them and he looked at the shipping manifest and said it was somewhere on one of the pallets - then he dug through a couple of pallets and pulled out the pack of Swiffer wet pads I wanted. This location is just horrible for trying to get anything called in. The service here completely sucks. It shouldnt take as long as it does to get a medication called into this place. Not sure why it takes as long as it does. I would try and avoid this place (and the company) in whole altogether. read more

Unfortunately a horrible pharmacy experience. The staff take no accountability for their mistakes. My flu shot appt was 5:15, I was waiting in line starting around 5:00p. Two people in front of me were already taking too long and I checked in with the girl with red hair and lash extensions around 5:20-5:25. She told me to have a seat and she'd call me up to fill out paperwork. 1 hour later with no notice, I go up to the same girl to ask on my status. She claimed I never checked in with her. I reminded her I checked in with her one hour ago. She clearly forgot about me and never told the physician. She then claimed "i wasn't in their system" even though I'm showing up on their appt printout located on their desk. After waiting 90 mins for a scheduled appt, I was finally seen by the physician for my flu shot. The physician did apologize and mentioned the clerk never flagged him about my appt. I overheard the clerk talking to the physician claiming her coworker should've helped and checked on the appts. Just take some accountability. I understand when its a busy rush period, some mistakes can happen. Its unfortunate that she just couldn't admit she made a mistake. She did not take any accountability. She can check the store camera footage. The proof is there that I walked in before 5:15p, spoke to her, and waited way too long to be seen. I waited 90 mins because she failed to do her job right. The actual vaccine room is also not sanitary. There are wrappers all over the floor from past band aids. Avoid the pharmacy here if you can. Super unprofessional. read more

Sadly, three of the worst pharmacy experiences I have ever had. I have given this location three chances. They have either hung up on my call when I asked my question, have not had the medication in stock (with no estimate of availability provided), and this last experience of when I was told that they could not honor my prescription and they sent me back to my doctor to get another prescription. When I explained that this prescription deadline was missed because they did not have the medication in stock, the response I received was "You missed the deadline, I told you that you will have to call your doctor." I hope that this feedback will help the pharmacy management to train their staff OR will redirect customers to a different store location or an online pharmacy option. read more

While walking from the extreme west side to the extreme east side I notice a walgreens on 30th st and made a quick stop to grab a soda and lite snack so my 28 block walk will not turn into a hail a cab scenario. Fairly standard walgreens with pharmacy in back and what not. Walked around a bit inside and magazine area is really just a few mags by the checkout area so my visit was a quick one. 4 stars for a clean well stocked organized walgreens that came in handy during from west to east journey. read more

the store is clean. thats it for the positive. you know the ol definition of insanity, doing the same thing and expecting different resuts. that is me and this store. i have literially had the same issue 3 times. i goin looking for baby wipes, i want the huggies and i want the big bag. the problem is the huggies is undwr lock and key. there are 3 other brands NOT UNDER lock and key but i want huggies. i go to the register and i ask for some one with a key and they reply " there's a button in the isle press the button and someone qwill come". I dont see a button. "they are everywhere". i go back i look i re look and i get pissed amd leave. that exact thing happened 3 f...ingtimes. literially happened just now. How dam lazy are you how miseriable are you? i ve seen the actually emploies fighting with each other in there... Another of the most stupid things you will find in this store is where the line formes at the register. there is a long isle in front of the registers,. in everu other store you enter from theback of the isle walkking forward tgo the store as if on the way out.. not here you enter from the furfthest poinrt and walk backintot the the store, except sometimes ther is a normal person shopping ans theyenter from the other way and no one in the store correts them, oh no. they will actually take them and chek them out. you want to save some agravation... steer clear read more
