Yes the pharmacy opened later than the expected 9AM and the staff was late arriving to work, but they took very good care of me

Absolutely terrible service and ENDLESS lines!! At 524 JEFFERSON AVE. Unfortunately the pharmacy on Collins and 5th was shut down due to a pandemic ‍. Now tens of people are on the line cramped together in a small seatless waiting area awaiting the useless staff. I came by 3 times in different times of the day attempting to pick up my life saving medication. Had to leave all 3 times due to the unreal waiting line. This is NO WAY to serve the south of fifth community!! read more

Horrible customer service . Unprofessional and rude. Treated us like we were scum after we just traveled all day and came in to buy necessity's and use the restroom. Lied and said restroom was closed and then spoke in Spanish about us. read more

The supervisor argued with me and told me the bathroom was out of service for me because I really needed to use the bathroom before purchasing an item I was here for. It was an emergency and could have turned out with a clean up on an isle. read more

Always a long line... the pharmacist tend to always mess up my prescriptions. Plan at least 30-45 minutes to wait on them.

Just came into this Walgreen to grab some toothpaste really quick. Came up to the register and there was already 4 people in front of me. There were several employees straightening up holiday plants, including the manager. Wile I was waiting, the manager (Richard) went right in between where I was standing in line to wipe a beverage cooler with a feather duster which had a bunch of dust on the top. i have HORRIBLE eye allergies, literally just picked up a prescription from this Walgreen not too long ago, and within a couple minutes my eyes were getting itchy and watery. I literally waited in line for about 10 mins till I finally walked up to them and asked if I could be checked out and the other register. I even said "please". It may have been a little direct but at this point, who wouldn't be. They didn't even reply, and one of the employees just walked over there like they expected me to follow. On my way out they said something to each other and I saw the manager look up directly at me. I went back inside and said "excuse me". And explained to the manager Richard how they should be better at prioritizing and how it was very rude of him to come over and wipe a bunch of dust a foot away from a customer. He could have simply checked out the customers waiting and done it after. read more

This review is specifically for the pharmacy. This location is a few blocks from me, so I go out of convenience. Unfortunately, the pharmacist is super slow and his assistants have huge attitude problems. Today, I dropped off a prescription, they told me it would take 30-40 min to fill it. 1 1/2 hours later, still patiently waiting, I decided to say something. Apparently, no one told the pharmacist to fill the prescription. This team needs to be properly trained on communication and floor management. I highly suggest going anywhere else to have your prescriptions filled. The staff at the Pharmacy at this Walgreens aren't competent, you will waste your afternoon and most likely end up leaving without the prescription being filled. Unbelievable! read more

I'm not a fan of this Walgreens. There's always an extra-long line, since it's so convenient to those traveling to and from the Beach via 5th Street (and 395). But I am a BIG fan of the adjoining liquor store, and the big free parking lot. There's always a tasting of some new-ish liquor product, but even though the place is so small, it's never forced upon you. They always have sales on one or another big-name liquor, and you can often find the 1.75L of Ketel One for $35. Perfect for stocking up for that little weekend shindig you're planning on hosting! The selection of mixers isn't always the greatest, but you can always find club soda or tonic, and they even have limes at the front (usually 3 for $1). There's a decent selection of wines, as long as you're not looking for something super-specific. Beer offerings are of the normal drugstore-variety. They also have a rather large selection of mini bottles, in case you're looking for that sorta thing. read more

The usual bunch of weirdo characters seems to frequent this Walgreens, as with most Miami-area Walgreens locations. It's a super-convenient place to grab some Smart Water before hitting up Abraxas, because let's face facts, you want to stay hydrated and get your electrolytes. I was a little annoyed that the cashier was constantly pushing customers to donate $1 to some charity. Aren't businesses aware that donating is a personal decision, and that initiatives like this just annoy and piss people off? Oh well, at least the cashier dude spoke adequate English and kept the line moving. The lines at some Walgreens locations are nightmarish, so I was happy to find that I didn't have to wait 10 minutes to buy a bottle of water and chewing gum. read more

It does the job. I definitely feel like it's dirty in here and I can't figure out why, but it's good for a quick stop and they're pretty on-top of the RX refills if you call ahead. The line is usually a bit long, but they're fast about the service and there's a liquor store attached, which is always a good thing when you don't want to pay the prices at the independent liquor stores on the Beach (who usually charge you your first born). As other reviewers mentioned, free parking and plenty of it, but always some kind of sketchy characters hanging around. They also have the puppy vaccinations here a few times a month, but I'm not 100% sure when, so call to find out. read more

This comment is for the Pharmacy. I've been going here for convenience for years. The new woman Pharmacist is terrible. Literally yelling at people and not being private. She denied me a refill because it was her personal preference too. Literally her words. I miss the old staff. This location is designed with the tourist in mind. Several aisles packed with an assortment of Miami Beach souvenirs and sunscreen. For us locals who actually need "self-tanner" though you are out of luck. Also, the selection on regular drug store items like hair accessories, body lotions, and soaps was dismal. I'm sticking to my neighborhood Walgreens or Target for stocking up, but this place will do in a pinch and if I happen to be on South Beach. One bonus is that it has an adjoining liquor store. Come here for liquor and buy your wine and beer elsewhere (like at the Publix down the block) because the selection is very minimal. read more

The photo department in this Walgreens is horrible. I've had issues with them 3 times. It's the closest one to my house so I keep coming back but I guess never again after this last experience. I called for passport pictures for my 3 month old baby and the person that answered informed me I could go in and take them there. That the photo department was opened until 8 pm. I get my baby ready and when I get there at 5:30pm I'm told photo is closed. Manager was not helpful. Super lost and the other employee couldn't speak English. I was so upset because it is always an issue in this place, even when you call ahead. read more

Decent Walgreens. Their pharmacy is great. This Walgreens is open 24 hours. But the pharmacy is closed at 9 pm. They have their own parking lot which is great in south beach. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star review is because they only give you paper bags. I understand recycling etc. but if you come here into make a purchase with multiple items it's a pain to have it in a paper bag that does not have handles. If you have your own reusable shopping bag bring it. read more

Standard typical drug store. The pharmacists are nice and my Rx has always been ready when promised. They also fill prescriptions pretty quickly if you just want to wait. They have a pretty good stock of items here. The check out is usually pretty quick and painless. This is usually my go to drugstore if I need something in a pinch. They have a large private lot. Watch out though, sometimes the crazies hang out at the entrance.... read more

this is literally the worst pharmacy in the state of florida. the people working have zero sense of urgency and choose to talk to each other about the weather rather than attend to the 15+ people who have been waiting in line for over an hour. save yourself a bad day and visit a different pharmacy. read more

Sometimes cvs doesn't have everything .... Alba papaya face mask is available at walgreens but not cvs..so i come here to get this mask.

They lost my pictures they were supposed to develop. I kept calling them to see if they came later and no one there is helpful. Its one thing if they lost the pictures, things happen and life moves on. But no one there will accept responsibility. This place is run like a hobby business. Other than that experience, most of the people there were pretty friendly who worked there. The liquor store next door has great prices. But you'll be hassled by the homeless crew that crowds around its doors. read more

Crowded isles, slow pharmacy, and a constant slow line at the registers have caused me to cross this place from my list of drug stores. The liquor store attached is clean and well lit, but the people asking for money out front make entering and exiting a bit of a nuisance as more than once the beggar has become a little aggressive. There are plenty of other places to get what you need on the beach. Go there instead. read more
