I became quite familiar with this Walgreens in the short amount of time I spent in town, needing a few things I had forgotten to pack. But of course I only realized it bit by bit! First a visit for sunglasses. There are any number of shops on Collins where you can buy sunglasses but I found my favorite pair here for a cool $20. I also picked up some mouthwash and antacid. Then, after trying to read a book at the beach, I realized that with my new contact prescription I needed my first pair of reading glasses (RIP my youth) so I stopped back in to check out their selection. Not bad! I got a cute pair of Foster Grants. After a day at the beach I got a little pink and needed some aloe. Popped back in for that. Each time I browsed a bit. Picked up some make up during my aloe trip, as well, thanks to their dedicated beauty area. The shop itself is a bit dingy, though the products are in good shape. It's also huge! With a bit of grab and go food available alongside snacks and even some booze. Also it's 24 hours which is a bonus! I definitely could have found most of the things I picked up cheaper if I had remembered to grab them before getting to my hotel but alas, my memory did not cooperate. So I had to take the L and the tourist upcharge. But luckily I got everything I needed! read more

This is the hugest Walgreens I've ever been to and what a delight to experience such a store that has everything you could need. It's basically a Super Walmart scaled down. They have luggage, groceries, produce, clothing, hats, and so much more. They know their market and audience and cater to them. The prices are incredibly inflated, but I suppose that is because you get a one-stop shop. If your time is money, you will save time and thus money by getting everything you might need here. The checkout lines moved smoothly, the cashier was friendly, and I was able to redeem some Walgreens cash I had for my small chips and toy purchase. read more

Worst liquor store ever. Guy with a Gustavo name tag but clearly European wouldn't sell me a bottle of titos. I'm 46. Husband is 46. Both had IDs. We walked in with our daughter because the outside was sketchy. Guy wouldn't sell it to us because we had a daughter with us. No such law exists. Who manages this place? We are very successful human beings being belittled by a loser. Tip- cross the street and go to I Love liquors. They are professional and nice. Asked for my ID and sold me the items. read more

Our stop here involved shopping for some necessities: toiletries, bottled water, and... alcohol. The part of the store that sells booze is in a separate wing, where there is wine and hard liquor galore. You can find just about any flavor of liquor here, though my buddy and I were looking for simple and straight forward options. Black label, please. I have low standards for a cashier, but I do expect one to not have a tone, not to aggressively tell a customer to complete the payment without time to read the screen even when nobody else is waiting, and not to roll their eyes and make rude comments when I go to a drug store. I got badly profiled in this location with my family. We were buying a bunch of stuff and we're looking for sunscreen to buy because we needed a travel size one under 3.4 fluid ounces. We were taking are time and all the workers were looking at us like if we were going to steal?? Like girl we're a family of four on vacation buying things we need. I understand my sister tried the sunscreen on, but we ended buying the same product. A Hispanic lady with the ear piece on was the one that profiled us and other people working there. 24 hour location so it came in handy at 1:20 am after leaving the bar and remembering that I hadn't brought soap or toothpaste on vacation and needed to pick up a few items and bottled water. The bar of soap I wanted $4.23 for a single bar, so I left it until I was able to get to the Walmart later in the day They had water on sale so that was handy and with my Walmart balance rewards I got the water for free. At one in the morning the store was pretty busy and they had a couple of registers open so the wait in line was minimal. read more

Take your business elsewhere! The associates and management team are completely incompetent, unprofessional and have no sense of customer service. They have absolutely no ability to communicate effectively and the store manager, Guillermo, should ultimately be responsible for his lack of management and involvement in the store issues. We used their photo machine to produce an instant photo magnet, and after paying for the item, was informed it would be delivered to the store a week later. What's worst is that an associate assisted us with the process and soon after, joked with another associate in Spanish that she had no idea how to use the machine. Sadly for her, we understood and listened to the whole conversation. They told us they didn't have the capacity to produce these items, even though they do nothing to warn customers PRIOR to their purchase. We waited the week as informed and upon following up with the store, was told by another manager that the photo could take up to a month to be completed and delivered. After detailing to him our previous experience, he reassured us he would follow up with us when the item arrived. Three weeks passed, and we finally get a phone call from the store manager, Guillermo. He asked for us to return his call, and the following day, when we called to speak with him, we were informed by a female manager in the afternoon that he was gone for the day but to contact him the following morning. We called the following morning and to our surprise, was informed by another manager, Omar, that he was in fact out of town. Needless to say, the entire experience was handled terribly and never was an effort made to rectify the situation. The lack of care exhibited by the management team and associates at this store was enough for me to NEVER return to this store until change is made. Mind you, I've been a resident across the street for decades! I strongly encourage any potential customers to take your business down the road!!! There is a CVS just a one-minute walk west of this store, on the same road, which should suffice for all your needs. Should you ever need assistance or expect anything positive to result from speaking with a manager, I will tell you now, you should set your standard very LOW as they obviously do not care about their jobs nor customers. read more

I would never review a chain pharmacy except 1 thing: there is a little desk that sells excursions inside the store. My friends and I immediately spotted a sign for a $35 trip to the everglades (the standard air boat ride and animal show sold by every other agency in town). We decided to wait a few hours to buy it (as in we wanted to check online prices before committing) and even went into a tour shop and spoke to the guy selling them at our hotel. Turns out, everyone else wants to charge $55 for the same thing! Definitely buy it here or mention the better deal to the people trying to charge you $20 more, because after mentioning the deal at Walgreen's they were both wiling to sell it to us for $35 as well Other than that: ginourmous selection of sunscreen, also cold beer and wine, conveniently located close to the beach read more

Avoid this Walgreens or any Walgreens in that matter! I'd rather shop at CVS or Rite Aid. I never shop at Walgreens but we decided to go inside real quick to pick up some last min things we needed because My family and I were visiting from New York. My husband noticed that a guy that was under cover was following us. We went to the sunscreen section and the guy proceeded to act like he was looking for sunscreen. A few seconds later a guy starts staring at us, and a Hispanic lady with medium brown dark hair with a earpiece starts peeking her head through the aisle. I did not notice any of this was going on because I was busy looking for a travel size sunscreen. My husband starts yelling, asking the lady why does she keeps staring and why is the other two guy staring at us as well?. She proceeded to say that she was not staring at us, and my daughter responded by telling her that she was staring at us and then the lady decided to walk away. My family and I got our things and went to pay for our items. I have never experience this in my life. As I was reading the other reviews, I've noticed that they have done this to other people. I went there to use my cash app for the first time. The cashier, Martha, had to call the so called manager, because she didn't know how to do it. Along came Juan, a "little man" or a "small man" of a human being on the "soft" side, with an attitude. I asked if I could add the amount I needed, which I researched online that I could. He came with an attitude, saying that "we" have rules and I couldn't do it my way. I said that rules were rules and that I had no problem with that. His tone was condescending, a perfect example of a small person with a little power prone to abuse it, a real opportunist and abusive. Even the old cashier at the next window put her two senses into it against me, to kiss his butt, instead of pending to her own customer, when she didn't know what she was talking about. I tried to keep my cool with this measley "person". The amount was finally added but, as I was walking away, I noticed that that the transaction was labeled as "vanilla", which is usually a gift card term, instead of cash. I went to find Juan again, and asked the reason for that. He immediately got on his high horse attitude and told me that he didn't know, to check the site and said "I don't use that, anyway - like that was an excuse to not answer my question. If you are a "manager", you are supposed to be knowledgeable about things in the store and the services that the establishment provides, instead of using alleged ignorance and personal prejudice and dislike of any customer to be irresponsible and negligent. Still, I kept my cool and decided to leave before I did something that he would had regret causing and provoking. The law sucks when it comes to that. I checked my app and saw the deposit, but still don't know how I will be able to use the funds and where, or if it will be reflected as cash or a "gift card". Gift cards, like the "visa vanilla gift card", has some unwanted and unwelcomed limitations by certain vendors, which I had encountered in a past experience. Not knowing is not a sin, and I usually am sympathetic and understanding about ignorance about a topic or situation. But, using attitude, nastiness, and abuse of power from a "small person" to purposely try to attack a person and customer on top of not having, or pretend not to have the knowledge to answer what should be a simple answer for him, as a "manager" (if he has been prepared, as he is supposed to) is inexcusable, abusive and low, like his personal essence and stature. Since we were here last they have moved across the street and the place is huge! It's still pricey and often full of people wearing whatever the heck they walked in wearing but now it has a dedicated liquor sections, a minute clinic, a place in the front where you can buy smoothies, sushi (sushi in a Walgreens???) and sandwiches, and a bigger food section. You could easily pack a beach lunch for yourself from just here. They had the Greek yogurt I always eat ($1.99 vs $1 at my local grocery store but still way cheaper than at a hotel) which I give them points for and the bottle water in the hotel that would've been $3 was 2/$3 here. Easy walking distance from our hotel and when we were feeling peckish and needed munchies we just came here and could load up on what we wanted. And they have their check-out lines down to an art form. Even if the line is long it goes quickly because if there aren't enough staff there at first there will be quickly. read more

This was one of the worst Walgreen's I have ever been in. The lines are ridiculous. Selection is meh at best, and the prices are jacked up because of all of the tourists. This store is also about 90 degrees, so you get to be hot and aggrevated at the same time. Only good points -- they have Snapple and the Walgreen's own waterproof camera is only $10. read more

I shop at Walgreens every day and it seems to me like if I dont go a day without going into a Walgreens then something is missing from my day. Walgreens is my favorite store OK? This Walgreens is located on Collins Ave & Liincoln Road which is a seedy area with ALOT of homeless people begging for money and shoplifting and the crime section of the paper never fails to have some sort of incident from this area reported of such in every edition. That said, the employees of this store are effected by this and as a direct result are rude to customers and dont look like they enjoy thier job that much. The management is no better if not worse and I had an encounter with them that didnt settle to good with me. I'll be the first to admit that I dress like a bum and am usually in cut off cammoflauge military shorts (I love the big pockets in the legs) and a T-shirt with the sleeves cut off. I'm comfortable and thats all I give a damn about. However, I realize that ALOT of people see this and pre-judge me and assume I'm some kind of bum with no money, no education and I might even be homeless. In fact I'm quite educated with enough college to realize I dont need college ( 2 yrs LOL!) and with no credit debt whatsoever or bills to pay, or children, am probably worth alot more than alot of you drowning in bills & credit debt to which there is no end in the intrest eating you alive. All said and done I'm sure the manager prejudged me and gave me a hard time when I attempted to return an item for a store credit. Had I been dressed differently I highly doubt I would have been treated the way I was like a 2nd class citizen. Big Mistake on his part & he had no idea the landmine he stepped on as I went to his District Manager and informed him the way this guy and the rest of the staff there treat people. He NEVER saw that one coming and its probably best that in the future he treat everyone as a customer and the same no matter how they look. I wont be going out of my way to solicite this particular store again. However, If I'm in the area and need something I wont hesitate to go in and make a purchase. If you shop at other Walgreens on the Beach and happen to shop in this store you can clearly see a difference as I have detailed here. read more

This was HANDS DOWN our #1 frequented spot on our trip to SoBe. They have an extensive collection of subscreens, extremely well priced water bottles (I recall purchasing a 15-pack for under $6), a gargantuan selection of munchies, Red Bull a-plenty, a good enough selection of adult beverages, and anything else your heart desires. In short, a place to start the party and end your recovery. The place is always packed and the queing situation is an absolute disaster, but it adds to the fun of coming here. My one qualm about this location...the people who work the check-out are rude, aloof, and always try to upsell you with candy bars. However, I would be too if I had to deal with drunken tourists all day. All-in-all, this Walgreens was very good to us. read more

Having a Walgreens nearby is really convenient, especially if it's open 24 hours. This one in particular is a one stop shop for snacks, water, souvenirs, postcards, beach gear, makeup, meds, etc. We didn't even stuff our luggages with toiletries knowing that we could just walk down the street and buy some cheapo shampoo and spray-on sunscreen to last us throughout our vacation. If you forget to pack that bathing suit cover-up, they got you covered here too, as well as towels, hats, mats, umbrellas! Wanted a flu shot. the university clinic did not have the vaccine the pharmacy said there was a problem with my medicare card they asked me to wait, take a seat, they would call medicare directly after waiting almost 15 minutes, I returned to counter and the woman says sorry I called but they would not speak to me because I was not you. why did she not call me over to speak to them and give permission to talk to a pharmacy rep...2 visits, no vaccination and possibly the worst, thoughtless, service. I love that this store is in this location, but they need a much better check-out/cash register system!!! I'm always annoyed at the random check-out process - I don't want to cut other people off and I don't like being cut-off myself (especially if I am in a hurry)! Currently on vacation down the street from here for 8 days. Came to Miami with a cold and thought it would get better, but the head and sinus pressure was unbearable and ruining what should have been a relaxing and fun vacation by day 4. This Sunday morning around 8am I found this UHealth clinic online and promptly booked a 10:10am appointment. The pharmacist (Jackie) and RNP (Kimberly Ann) were amazing! I am so thrilled I went. They took my insurance and copay with no problem. Got seen within 4 minutes of my appointment time and was in and out in under 30 minutes. They were both sympathetic, helpful, really listened, and I walked away with an RX for my developing sinus infection that will hopefully get me back to relaxing ASAP. Really appreciate this location being available, open on a Sunday, and with such wonderful staff. The store is alaso awesome - huge, has tons of travel sizes and full sized selection, and is clean. read more
