Here's the thing - if you're going to be in Miami Beach, expect to pay a premium for anything. But for the convenience and the location... this place is going to have what you need. I spent almost $30 for some waters and protein yogurt smoothies which probably would have been 30% cheaper in LA but what can you do? Overall aisles are well stocked and organized and service is generally pleasant but not overwhelmingly friendly (kind of a ring you up and go kind of place). Definitely a casual vibe, no bells and whistles at all. I love the idea of this store, because it really does have all the essentials you need, But they don't put prices on the items, so you don't know how much it is until you are checking out at the register, and the prices are outrageous! Talk about price gauging!! Most of the food items are expired or expiring the next day. Nothing is fresh there, except maybe there columbian bread if you get there early in the morning the day that they bake it. They used to have some reasonable prices on their hot food and it did look good, but I was always weary to try because if they are selling expired cold food, then I assume they are cooking the expired food too. In the past it's always been kind of dirty, they have made some improvements and added some new food cases in the deli/ cafeteria section so it does look better and a little less cluttered. None of the staff speaks English, so good luck if you are looking for something and need to ask for help in English. You will be ignored and they will be rolling their eyes at you. To the owners: I love the concept of this store and it has so much potential. As a local I was so happy to know I had a supermarket near my apt but you have to do better, with your fresh products, prices and staff! I just order online from Publix now and have it delivered to me and its still 3 times cheaper then purchasing at this store and everything is fresh and not expired. As mentioned by others, it's a really compacted space and a little difficult to move around but they had an amazing assortment of produce and snacks. I recently visited Triton supermarket while on a tour. I stopped by hoping to find some fresh produce. The first thing I noticed was the deteriorating condition of the building. Inside was dark and , the space is super cramped with food items everywhere even on the ground. I may have even stepped on food. The ambiance is terrible The service was awful. I got sugar free candy for $1.50 in Texas that was $3 here. Talk about inflation. We saw gnats and flies on bananas and rotten mandarins. Triton Supermarket and Cafe is a nice spot to get a wide variety of supplies on Collins ave. Staying nearby I looked through Yelp and found the reviews, read them and explored. I'm glad I did. They have a huge variety of items in a small space. The deli was packed with people and being plant based had no discernible options for me. I wondered through the store, which had cold options, staples and even sheets of paper and binders. Like I said a wide range of options. The aisles are small, and more often then not filled with boxes to resupply various parts of the store. Minus a star for that. It is hard to navigate. However the prices are fair, and if you need a Chicago Bears note pad with logo and full field stationary (I kid you not) then shop here! The checkout was quick albeit cramped. Avoid this place at all costs. It's filthy. There were open spills on the floor and every isle had inventory stacked up blocking the actual product. And the staff were moving at a snails pace to do anything. To present a retail food shopping environment like this during a pandemic is absolutely shameful. read more

I was on my way to a basel event and after being out all day i was getting hungry..... and approaching hangry at record speed. I didn't have more than 15 minuted to get to the event i was trying to make b4 cut off so i decided to stop in as it was on the way to Faena Forum. Grabbed a fried fish, black beans, and steamed mixed veggies.. everything was really good and at $7 it doesn't get better! best of all i still made it to my event. read more

They sell groceries, household products and alcohol, along with a few odds and ends like clothing and simple toys. There is no deli, pharmacy or bank - it's old school convenience. The aisles were tight and well-stocked. I found everything I was looking for - iced tea, bottled water, wine, and ramen in a cup! A friendly male employee assisted me with finding chilled wine in their tight quarters. Cashier lines moved quickly though the gals weren't friendly. I was looking at grocery stores near my hotel so I could get some basic items, this was the closest place to the hotel I was staying in so I thought I might as well try their pre-made deli food (judging by the photos, it looked pretty good). I had the fish along with rice & beans and fried plantains. The food tasted like a home-cooked meal with a lot of love and effort put into making it!! Everything tasted great, the rice was a little dry but that's about it. The best part is, the entire meal was like $7-8 which is dirt cheap for Miami Beach and it restaurant quality for a fraction of the price. The inside has a bunch of different snacks, beverages, personal care items and of course, being located in Miami Beach, a variety of beachwear/towels/sunscreen/chairs. The prices of their regular items are a bit steeper than the Walgreens/CVS stores near by, but, hey, small businesses gotta make profit, too! read more

Love, love, love this quaint little supermarket! You can find about anything in this store, from inflatable beach toys, to homemade breakfast, to flowers, to adult novelties. The prices are reasonable for the area- there is a slight markup compared to a big box store, but not much. Definitely worth it for the convenience in my book. If you have a large backpack or purse, they will request to hold it behind the counter. Terrible grocery. Never buy milk or other dairy items. Refrigerators are often not working. The place is disorganized, with items stacked on the floors and in the aisles. Many times items are past date. We dont buy dry goods like rice or flour there anymore as it had bugs. Surprised they pass any health or safety inspections. Had a friend that lives on the beach and he says this is to go spot for all his lunches. I can see why, from a local point of view it's a great spot to grab a bit to eat. It's inexpensive and has enough variation that you don't tired of eating the same thing over and over again. The customer service has a home-ly feel to it as well, than they had a grocery section that was adequate to meet your needs. If you're on the beach in tourist mode don't come here, but if you want a good filling meal that will make your buck go long this is the spot to be at. read more

I had a product to return - valid receipt in hand- and instead of refunding the money for the stale product they argued about the freshness of the product and would not refund. The manager, Jose has a nasty personality. He didn't want to help with a price issue. The drinks were listed at costing $1.48 and were ringing up for $3.15, over twice the advertised price. Since I was buying multiples, the discrepancy was worth calling out. He decided to let me have two of my drinks at the falsely advertised price, but not allow me the additional ones. Either they are all $1.48 or they are all $3.15 as I need the number I intended to purchase. His attitude from the beginning to the end was hostile. Old and grungy - but a great selection of Latin foods (and American foods) and BOTTLED WATER which we sorely needed. (Water bottles at the Palms hotel are $6/95 - for Evian - I kid you not. We got Zephyrhills for $1.00 a bottle (smaller bottle - 16.9 oz. - but hey - we got 3 of 'em). They also had Glaceau Smart Water, Fiji water and lots of sodas. We had NO problem with service here. The Triton is one of the few non-re-vamped buildings from the old days of Miami Beach. This grocery store/bodega is much needed. They do need to clean it, though. read more
