I'm reviewing this Publix specifically for their iteration of the chicken tendy pub sub. This Publix deli is quite busy, between tourists and locals at the beach and we were lucky to stroll in around 11am on a Wednesday to order two pub subs with odd specifications (recommended by a friend). Despite the sandwich artist needing to go into three separate coolers outside of the normal display to get our requested sauces and cheeses, she hooked us up with quite possibly the largest sandwiches I've ever see in my life. She was in no rush to move along the line of 10 people that had formed behind us during the 10 min we waited for her to assemble our order, but I have zero complaints because they were the perfect snack for our subsequent 5 hour plane ride!! read more

Shopping is a pleasure for real when it comes to Publix. Bestie and I had beach plans and I forgot to pre order chicken wings so the next morning we walked in hoping for that fried chicken goodness. Nope, fried chicken (unless pre-ordered)does t come out till about 10 am. There was some other items we could've bought like subs or those sandwich rolls or breakfast sandwiches but we were so in the mood for their chicken. we'll they let us know the there were some tenders out in the refrigeration part. We asked if we could have them heated up. The manager came and advised they couldn't but what they could do was grab some hot ones that were in the back that were ready for subs. What a blessing she was. We got our chi ken and were the happiest people.on the beach. Thanks to that staff for looking out. They really do try to help and give other options to make sure you never walk out empty handed and you leave smiling. read more

I LOVE the variety of products this store has, prices are amazing and reasonable and great loyalty program. But I DETEST the customer service here, a lot of workers are rude, ignorant and very bothered if you ask them a question. Even Mangers don't like to be bothered by complaints or anything of any sort. They definitely need some compliance training on their customer service skills. read more

Your pineapple chunk salad (or other cut fruit salads) often taste like ONIONS! Certainly not the 1st or 2nd times I experienced this! Makes me question your cleanliness and hygiene. This never happens with Whole Foods fruit salads! Other than that, the staff/cashiers are very nice. read more

Publix had become the leading supermarket in Florida and has since expanded throughout the southeastern United States. They became the leading supermarket by putting a strong emphasis on customer service. They bring the adage "the customer is always right" to new levels. Add to this fantastic BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and that alone makes for a winning combination. Add to this the iconic subs that they make in their deli (affectionately known as Pub Subs) and they become virtually unbeatable. These subs are pretty amazing. I usually go with their Italian sub or their roast beef. Both are excellent and I guess anything you would order at their deli counter would be a winner. I must say that I would definitely recommend this particular location or any Publix, for that matter. I choose to give it five stars for their steps in making sure a visit to a Publix is always a wonderful experience. read more

We love the fruits that are so fresh and sweet, the Sandwiches station where you can choose your bread, toppings and whatever you prefer in the menu that is so delicious and the FABULOUS Ladies that do the hard work putting everything together like a professional Chef, you will come back almost everyday for one of those so yummy sandwiches . This Publix has a terrible sub station that is separated from the deli. It takes forever to get a sub. Bad Customer service from the short husky lady. The soda fountain is turned off permanently because of all the homeless around. Good luck in the bathroom as well. Also, don't waste your time on an online sub order. It's too much for them to handle. Tried twice without success. Everything else seems pretty good. read more

Seems to be just a tad run down often with at least one freezer row's light not working or some other issue. Selection surprisingly not that great compared to comparable sized grocery stores and the take home meals and stuff and especially sushi they make in the store frankly isn't good at all. I live off of grocery store sushi so not a sushi snob. Entrance area around store is usually dirty with people basically living in front of the store smoking marijuana or drinking or urinating on the sidewalk (I've seen both several times!) so the management clearly isn't complaint to the city enough to do something about it. I'd definitely go elsewhere if there was a nearby competitor. That said location is good if you live in the neighborhood and the parking is free for a reasonable amount of time, which is why they get 2 stars vice 1. read more

Shopping is a pleasure at this Publix. Conviniently located on the bottom street level of the shops at 5th and Alton. This Publix is brand new and pretty big sized. Kudos for their deli section. They have a counter for deli meats, another for food by the pound, and a seperate one on the side for deli custom subs. I love Publix subs! The wait was short and everyone wasn't smushed up together waiting for their turn. I won't hesitate to return and cruise by the shop upstairs too! This is a great full sized grocery store on small Sobe. It has a Parking ramp you drive up and parking is free while you shop. Take an elevator up and down with cart. Never crazy crowded, have never been out of stock for what I am looking for- surprising for the location and its foot traffic. Manager went out of his way to find me pizza dough last week- hunted me down 5 minutes later to deliver it to me. People watching is a bonus ;) read more

I was really surprised that Publix is so expensive, more so than Whole Foods for many items. The staff is friendly, but the quality of fresh produce is really not good, and the variety is lacking. Publix has really gone downhill unfortunately, hopefully some other chain comes in to sell food at more fair prices and not take advantage of customers. read more

We ubered here so didn't have to deal with parking. The store seemed clean and well stocked. Prices seemed okay considering we were in a touristy area. Don't get me wrong, I love Publix. But there are three Publix locations in South Beach. I don't go to the one on Dade Boulevard, I mostly go to the one in Sunset Harbor. The one on 6th Street is so different than the one in Sunset Harbour. Employees there seem to always have a chip on the shoulder, it takes much longer at the deli and it's just not the same friendliness and professionalism as the one in Sunset Harbour. It's a noticeably different culture. Really weird. If you have a choice take a few minutes and go to the much nicer one up there read more

Three times this month of October 2022 the sub deli area has been super late or just not helpful at all. I have ordered and even 20 minutes after the supposed time of pick up the subs have not even been started. What's the point of pre ordering if it's always 20 minutes late. They obviously need additional help or better management. Last week I ordered, it never was made because I asked for white bread and they were out (a simple call to the number on the order could have resolved that) For shopping it's very tourist oriented now and parking is not free anymore unless you have a receipt to get out long line. read more

How can a Publix get only two stars when I shop here regularly and it is the one that services my neighborhood? Primarily because in comparison to every other Publix on Miami Beach across the causeway in Miami, this is one of the worst considering it is also relatively new. - cramped aisles make it difficult to move around with a shopping cart - before this opened it advertised itself as a store concentrating on healthy alternatives and there GreenWise in house brands. They actually have a very small selection, less so than almost any other Publix I've been to - smaller Publix than many new Ines so they don't only have a limited selection but when they are out of stock it isn't always replaced that quickly - no pharmacy - would be nice to pick up an occasional prescription here but no such luck - checkout lines seem badly timed, never seen all open despite long lines at rush hour - and if you drive here, you have to park upstairs in a cramped garage and then take an elevator back and forth to the store. There is no convenient street level parking I'd like to give this a higher ranking, especially since it's walking distance from home and some of the workers here are genuinely nice, but the store itself misses by a long shot read more

This grocery store is in walking distance of our hotel. We came here to get snacks and water to have in our room. We did have to ask a couple of employees where items were located but they didn't know either. So we wandered the aisles looking for Vitamin water. I didn't mind because I like seeing items that are unique to the areas I visit. It wasn't too busy and check out was speedy. read more

While visiting Miami, we decided to cook a few meals at the condo we rented, so we tracked down this Publix and I have to admit to never having to park in a parking deck to get to the grocery store. Thank you Miami. Parking was free. Surprisingly the prices were pretty reasonable while we were shopping there. Probably had the same sales my neighborhood Publix was having. The store was very well spaced and the layout was very similar to the one I shop at home, so I was able to find everything really easily. Very nice option to have if you;re in Miami to vacay and have a place where you can cook, but even if not, their hot bar and sandwiches looked good also. People were riding their bikes, walking and driving up to the location. read more

Publix... I think you tricked me - and not in a so good way. You opened a sparkling new building at Mary Brickell Village and that blew the other Publixes in the downtown area out of the water. I was so impressed with your international offerings, the friendly service, the clean and well-stocked aisles, and being able to move around at ease without bumping into anyone (I'm eyeing you, Design District Publix. Yes, you.) But I was in the area in South Beach, and I remembered that I needed to do grocery shopping, and I also remembered that I had heard you opened up to some fanfare. So I shrugged off my preconceived notion that there's simply just not a lot of people in South Beach (at least not living and shopping for groceries)... so how could it be better than the one in Brickell? I walked in, and I was floored - to my left and to my right, it was a HUGE Publix... then I looked to my front, and saw that it didn't go deep. Whew... Publix didn't skimp out on the Brickell location. Then I didn't really know where to start. I just went to my right, and then my uneasiness grew. The produce selection was much larger than Mary Brickell - 3 times larger I believe. And they had even more selections of produce. Impossible! Who would drive all the way to the beach from the Redlands to sell stuff in Southern Miami-Dade? Oh wait, Publix do that for you, Beachers. Then I went and skimmed the other aisles... and I was surprised by what I found - a big selection of Venezuelan chocolates? Kiddie memories would be happy here with their Ping Pong, Carlton, Nucita, etc. They still got the same selection of Latin American goods like the one in Brickell. And I was even more impressed to find a type of pickle (Wickles). I've loved them but haven't seen in at least two years in the other Publixes? Wow.... And I saw that they had Framboise Lambic beer that I've been meaning to try at DRB? Loving it already! (You bet I'm drinking it right now - and must say it's good! Corked beer is my new obsession.) And a HUGE aisle of Publix Greenwise? SOLD - this has immediately become my favorite Publix (somewhat) near downtown Miami. So, I'm a little pissed that Publix didn't put that much thought into Brickell. But if each new opening proves to be better than the last, I can't wait to see the new Publix in Midtown Miami! NOTE: The layout of the store is still a little bit weird for me. Because it isn't deep, there's more aisles to walk through. Additionally, organic stuff is not next to regular stuff but have their own section in the department, making price-comparision inconvenient. And the cheese/diary section is somewhat hidden, and far from the produce section on the other side of the nonperishables. And I agree that they should have smaller carts. read more

Plenty of parking when you first pull in and if you live in south beach zone 2 you can also park on the street. Their subs to go are better than Subway, soups are always on point, and a good selection of fresh fruits & vegetables even in organic selections. One can never go wrong with Publix and you get whatever you need without things being overly priced like whole foods is. Publix has pretty good sales on a lot of the things I like to buy. This store is fairly clean and their employees are hit or miss with friendliness plus customer service. A good place to shop for your groceries. read more

Who reviews a Publix anyways?? lol So yeah, its a market in South Beach... Its just like any other Publix throughout south Florida with a few little changes.. Pros: Clean and new, good management (so far), free parking for 2 hours in the parking lot upstairs, Ross and TJ Max upstairs (to multitask), Free scooter parking in front of the store, and its close to my house. Cons: My Cell phone (AT&T) doesn't work by the meat section or actually in the whole back end of the store, theyre still lacking a few products that are standards in other Publix stores (but its getting better), street parking for ATM or 5 minute purchases is impossible, not enough free tasting events in the store - Hello! we want wine and cheese tasting! :) Also, I think this store should be open 24 hours a day.. but thats just me. If you do need a 24 hour grocery store, you need to go a block east to Meridian Market. read more

I love Publix everywhere I go. But this parking lot sucks. For a Sunday afternoon this place was packed and cramped. And camping out for parking was uncalled for with it being over 90 degrees before midday. I have no clue how they could expand this place, but clearly it needs to happen. In addition, the place is so packed and cramped that a few cashiers were chatting about people walking straight out the store with cart loads of groceries without paying. I was just visiting and this place was convenient. But if I lived close the rising cost of items because of theft and parking would have be going to Winn Dixie a few blocks away. read more

Not a pleasure to shop at! Like others have said it's dirty, there is never anyone there to help you and heaven forbid if you want a sandwich--last time they ran out of bread....at 7:30. Today one person in front of me and it took 20 minutes to get help. At the registers you're treated with utter indifference--seriously the only thing I've heard a cashier say is do you want to make a donation. How about using that money to pay someone to clean the place and run a seminar on customer service. I like this publix. Parking garage can be a bit dangerous with people leaving and coming in and cars turning left and right at the same time, but thats an engineering problem not publix. First 1-2 hours free. After that you pay for parking. Clean, and organized...umm i dont know what else to say about a grocery store.
