    The Best French Toast
    Fernando E.

Ohhh my God after my bike ride around South Beach, I came here and had the BEST Cinnamon Crusty French Toast ever in my entire life. Service amazing and surprisingly quick. It's one of the gems places in the area. If you go don't forget taste it.

We had just checked out of our hotel and headed to the airport and looked for a breakfast place nearby. Saw this one and I'm very happy we tried it! Very good! We had the Protein Banana Nut Pancakes and an egg & cheese breakfast croissant. Both were very delicious. The pancakes had flaxseed which helps with digestion and it can be a strong seed to cook with but they did an excellent job! Heads up for out of towners- it's a restaurant with a walk up window where you order and take your food to go. They have a tent to the right of the restaurant where they have about 5-6 tables for you to sit and enjoy your breakfast but no indoor seating. I highly recommend this little Jem of a restaurant!

This little place in the heart of JEWISH QUARTER OF MIAMI BEACH is a landmark They sell more TUNA FISH SALAD then any place in miles. Their fresh baked muffins and tasty kosher dishes are our tribes delight! The staff never changes and the kitchen not much bigger than your home and the head cook is a cute Latin lady with the look of your best youngest grandmother- she works so hard.... but the real treat is the characters that inhabit the place "Jews just want to eat and debate" of which I am a proud member

Today me & my sister went to Tasty Beach & we thought it was just a bakery type of place to get some mega yummy sweets. NOT AT ALL. They have a WHOLE menu!!! 99% of it is vegan friendly but my sister loved her Spicy Veggie Chicken Club & my Tuna Melt was amazing!!!! We grabbed some sweets to go & once we were able to eat them they were gone in a blink of an eye. I got a Cinnabun & she got Nutella S'more. The staff was awesome too. I'm thick (lol) so when I told them the chairs outside were too type they brought me a different chair. Our waiter (sorry can't remember his name) was nice personable & mega funny. If your looking for someplace off the beaten path but tastes MEGA good please check them out!!!

WOW. What a hidden gem! This place is absolutely spectacular! Such a fun little breakfast spot. Such friendly staff, many of whom have been working here for 20+ years. It's a little hole in the wall, take out and to-go or tables outside to sit down. You have to get the Nutella sticky bun. It's the BEST bun I've ever had. Seriously amazing. Even though we're in Miami for one week, we will probably come back here for breakfast again.

Instagram vs real life - honey butter cheese biscuit

If you follow Tasty Beach Cafe on Instagram or decide to come here because of the many Miami foodie influencers that come here, prepare to be deeply disappointed if you aren't a "said influencer". The presentation of the food and quality is no where near as consistent as their many jaw-dropping insta posts, which is very sad. I almost feel cheated in a way. I dined in for breakfast this morning with my hubby, and we ordered a few different items. Before I get into detail on each item, I'd like to state that service was fine, and the food did taste good, but just a normal average good, and unfortunately nothing to write home about. The restaurant is tiny, so prepare to rub elbows with other tables & shimmy your way to your seat. We ordered the: -Breakfast Potatoes with Caramelized Onions, and unfortunately they were greasy, and way too much paprika. We didn't even finish them, and I'd never order them again. They were also luke warm. -Miami Heat Egg Wrap, which is suppose to be spicy and warrant the fire sign on the menu. This dish barely had any jalapeños, sriracha or hot sauce in it, which made the dish very mild to say the least. We had to order more sriracha because of it. - Honey Butter Cheese Biscuit: probably the biggest disappointment on the menu & ridiculously overpriced at $8. This biscuit was so bland & barely had any cheese in it. I was expecting it to be ooey-gooey like the photos on Instagram & I didn't get one string of cheese to flow out ! I also asked about this biscuit immediately upon sitting down because I did not see it on the menu, and the waiter said they were being prepared now & might be out of the oven by the time our meal was done. Excitedly, we asked him to let us know when they were done, thinking we'd hit the jackpot with the warmest, freshest biscuits, and we were unfortunately very very wrong. The biscuit was also Luke warm and had sausage in it? Not expected & not a happy surprise. This item is WAY overpriced . I would never order it again, and I do not recommend it. It should be $3 TOPS and that's even a stretch. -Cookie Dough Pancakes - $16, and also VERY VERY overpriced. I mean 2 pancakes with a small smear of edible cookie dough on the top pancake for $16? That's pushing it WAY over the edge. Additionally, this item looks absolutely NOTHING like the naughty fork video . That smear of cookie dough is so weak, and does not even go the entire width of the pancake like it does on their other Instagram photo of the stack of pancakes more recently posted. This item was good, but definitely not worth the price. Overall, our breakfast was edible, but very disappointing. I will not be returning for this $60 breakfast anytime soon, and no we did not order mimosas.

I came around 1 PM and the restaurant was really busy with locals and some tourists. The restaurant only has counter seating in the windows with barstool seating (no inside seating) so you have to wait until someone gets up and then you seat yourself. I waited about 2-3 minutes and found a seat (it's all pretty quick because people eat their sandwiches and come and go). When I was seated I was warmly greeted by a restaurant employee and he promptly took my order. I ordered the Bora Bora smoothie to start (around $7) and ordered the turkey and brie cheese sandwich (around $10). The smoothie was made quickly with fresh fruit and the sandwich is a huge portion and came up quick with fresh bread and all fresh produce, the sandwich was truly amazing! Make sure to use the vinagarette dressing on the counter, this is homemade and is so good! If you're near a La Sandwicherie location, definitely stop in!

I most recently stopped by for a bite at this location a few blocks from North Shore Open Space Park, a.k.a. the full moon party. They have a few outside tables as well as an inside counter seating area. You typically order your sandwich & smoothie, pay and then your belly gets happy. They have a few regular sandwiches that they make fresh (i.e. not premade), as well as a "build your own" option on the menu. My go to is their Italian sub on a crispy baguette. It comes stuffed with ham, prosciutto, and salami as well as a slice of cheese. You do get to customize the green stuff, which for me is fresh lettuce, tomatoes, red peppers, and their little cornichons (baby pickles). As far as dipping sauces, they have the usual oil and balsamic as well as a lightly creamy vinaigrette, which to me had a slight hint of spiciness. I loved it! Going for my sweet tooth, their açai bowl is really packed with the açai paste, granola and fresh berries. The staff is pretty friendly and gets my order out on time. The spot is also dog friendly, I've seen folks come in with their four legged children.

Honestly, we weren't disappointed by anything we ordered. I had the salmon Benedict, my husband ordered the crepe, and we shared pancakes with our daughter -- everything was delicious and the portions were very reasonable for brunch. Located a couple of blocks off a major road (Washington Ave.), Las Olas Cafe felt like a hole-in-the wall neighborhood joint - a team of off-duty police officers were enjoying their dinner inside the restaurant, and families were eagerly lined up at the to-go window outside the restaurant. As I waited in line to order, I perused the menu, which included breakfast items, coffee, and a variety of sandwiches. Even though there were only a couple of customers ahead of me in line, each meal was made-to-order before the next order was taken. This meant that the staff prepared about half a dozen coffees, a couple of smoothies, and several meals before it was my turn to order. When I finally placed my order for a Cubano sandwich, I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be prepared. My sandwich was served piping hot, and I eagerly took my food to go so I could enjoy it at the beach nearby. Despite the wait (about an hour from the time I arrived at the cafe despite the short line), my food was delicious. The sandwich was stuffed with crispy shredded pork and ham, and a generous amount of mustard, melted cheese, and pickles pulled it all together.
