Nothing too fancy about this place only upside is that it closes at 2am. Very close to a lot of hotels as well prices are a little expensive for what you get. Omg the avocado toast was so bad. I was looking for something to eat in the area that was still open because I was hungry. We were close by to this place so we decided to go get food there. I ordered an avocado toast and it came out as an old piece of bread with 3 slices of avocado and 1 slice of tomato on each piece of toast. They couldn't even spread the avocado . Of all places in America, you'd think they'd know how to prepare a toasted bagel in a Miami Beach deli. You cut a bagel in half and then toast it. How hard is that? Too hard for the Cafe Bon Jour apparently. If you ask for it toasted you'll get it fried grilled on the same skillet they put the hamburgers or whatever on. The result is a slimy oil saturated bagel. Gross! When I was handed this fried grilled bagel (I can't believe I just typed that phrase), I politely reminded the surly owner lady that I asked for it toasted, not grilled. She insisted it was toasted, despite having fried grilled it directly in front of me. When I explained that's not toasted, she responded "Well, nobody else complained." I would've argued back but she immediately turned her attention to the fruit delivery man in order to complain about his invoice price. Just get bagel on one of those Ocean Drive cafes. You'll spend about a dollar more, it will be toasted and you can sit in a much nicer place. read more

In town for the superbowl and found this little Coffee/sandwich place right off of Ocean after looking for free wifi and coffee for what seemed like forever. They have a few tables inside a good variety of take out and a wide range off drinks (including a delicious little Cafe con Leche (Cuban Coffee). Reminds me of all the great cheap cafe's in Spain. The Bacon, Egg, and Cheese bagel is large! It comes out nice and hot and is delicious with a iced tea and chocolate pastry crossaint (as I ordered.) I loved going to cafe bonjour. It was so very convenient to just pass by there on my walk to the beach from the hotel, grab a healthy sandwich...the portions are big. Space is not that big, but do have few tables to sit at. The owner is the sweetest most nicest man I met there. The best was when he started to speak to me in my native tongue! The pizza place that is next door is owned by him as well I think, and there are a lot of pizza joints in south beach, but his place was the best. I loved the cleanliness of both places. The sandwiches and paninis run between $8.95-$11. They have Cuban sandwiches for $10.95. What I did try was the turkey panini. It was freshly made and delicious. The bread was super crunchy, with every bite you have that "crunch factor" . I would return just for this panini. However, the wait time is a little ridiculous. Ahmad seemed to be the only one working the both times that I stopped by. So he was the cashier and the cook. They also sell fresh coconuts that they drill in front of you. This is unfortunate for me to feel obligated to even write a review. However, before I even had a chance to order, I was threatened by a member of the waitstaff. It was about 4am and they were a bit crowded. An employee thought I was another lady in the store that made a comment to him and threatened to drag me out the store if I didn't leave or made another comment. As I was try to explain to him that I didn't say anything and he must have thought I was someone else, he inched closer and threatened me again. I am surprised by the rave reviews! I was over-charged for coffee, none of my additions (which I paid extra for) arrived, the sandwiches ranged from ok to absolutely horrible - I was so excited for a croissant with egg and cheese and it was inedible. We tried three times, and every time the bread was stale and just yucky. We only used delivery, so perhaps that is a difference, but our order took two hours and thirty minutes on the phone to arrive (5 blocks away!). I was promised a coupon or refund but did not receive either. The only thing I can recommend is the fresh juice. But the croissants and bagels - awful. MUCH better options on the beach - even the chains do continental breakfast far better AND MUCH cheaper. I also hate the delivery fee on top of expected tip and of course, tax. Is the delivery fee going to the driver? If so, why is my suggested or required tip 18-20%? read more

My boyfriend and I went to this establishment while walking through South Beach in search of coffee and something tiny to nibble on. We ended up waiting (I kid you not) 25 minutes for two bagels (that weren't even toasted).
