I've had consistently frustrating experiences with the pharmacy at Walgreens on Crismon and Southern. The pharmacy appears to be extremely understaffed and the employees seem overworked, which unfortunately results in very long wait times. It doesn't seem to matter what day or time you go--there is almost always a line and the average wait time is around 30 minutes or more just to speak with someone. Another major issue is how they handle prescriptions that are pending renewal. Many pharmacies will offer a short emergency refill while waiting for a doctor to approve a new prescription, but this location seems to deny those requests almost every time. That leaves patients stuck without medication while waiting for paperwork to move through the system. Between the long lines, slow service, and lack of flexibility with medication continuity, it's been a very frustrating experience. If you rely on consistent medication access, be aware that delays here could easily leave you waiting several days without what you need. I genuinely hope Walgreens invests in more staffing and better support for this pharmacy, because the current situation makes it very difficult for us patients. Oh, and don't bother trying to call-in because I've been on hold on average for 45 minutes. It's been this way for months and there has not been any changes. read more

I've never had an issue with Walgreens and their Photo department until now... I ordered pictures earlier this week from this Walgreens location and they turned out great. I needed to order some more pictures and went to pick them up today from this same location. I didn't think I needed to open them up on the spot, but now wish I had. I had to run errands after picking these up, and got back home late, so when I finally opened and looked at the pictures, I was shocked to see they are not mine! The sleeve they are in has my name, number, and order information, but inside (they always have one photo that lists the name, and order number, and an image of first and last photo printed) was someone else's name and number listed! Like how do you mess that up?! They go by last name when you pick up in person, my last name isn't close to this other persons! (Even my full name is nowhere near similar to this other person!) Very disappointed, and sad that I didn't get my pictures, and now someone else has mine. So moral of the story folks, if you decide to order pictures from here or any place for that matter, look over your order BEFORE you leave the store! read more

Would not recommend unless you like to have your time wasted. Called in this morning right at opening to have my prescription filled and was told it would be ready this afternoon. Fast forward to 5pm and I'm waiting 15 minutes to get to the register only to be told my prescription cannot be filled until tomorrow due to a certain number of days needing to pass in between each refill. When telling the guy helping me that I called it in this morning, his response was "oh did you talk to the robot" . When I replied no, I talked to a real person, all I got was a nonchalant "dang that's weird". This would have been nice to know THIS MORNING and not later in the evening when I have been expecting to have my meds this evening. Everytime I come to this pharmacy there is an issue and this put me over the top to leave a review. read more

I am highly allergic to cigarette smoke, the Walgreens nearest my house continually allows their smoking employees to sit right outside in front of the entrance and not far enough away from the door to even allow me to go in. I have asked repeatedly for that store to just relocate the employee smoking area, so I and maybe others can at least get into the store, with no response. Unfortunately, lost a customer. read more

Pharmacy at all walgreens are BAD. I refilled a medication by CALLING on Friday and she said she would have it soon. She did no such thing. I cakked Saturday and they said "sorry, we will have it after 1 pm." No such thing. Called Sunday and again they blamed "central refill". Call Monday am and she said to check back at 4pm. I say just fill it please I NEED it. She said she could but not until 5pm. :IES and central refill BS. Well NO MORE FOR ME! read more

I'm giving 3 stars because a few weeks ago there was an awesome cashier who helped me. I had her for check out twice and she was very kind each time. However, I was in recently to pick up a product in the beauty department. It was a seasonal item I passed when I was in days prior when getting medicine. I popped in while running errands and saw one left on the shelf, however it was clearly tampered. In my experience, you can usually ask for one from the back if they have it. Which is what I did. I also made the assumption there might not be a back stock so I thought maybe they would do a 5 or 10% discount. Upon going to the register I had a cashier I had not met whose name I will not mention. She seemed bothered although it was around 3 pm on a saturday and not too busy. I explained that I wanted this item and it looked tampered (the barcode sticker was peeled mostly off and the top was ripped off... I'll add photos if I can). She called over another associate to check for back stock. I explained I just didn't want a damaged product. They encouraged me to open it, so I did, and they said "ok cool doesn't look damaged. Go ahead and buy it." Well, it didn't look damaged so I went ahead since I wanted it but not really the response I expected. Oh well. At this point cashier could not get it to scan since the sticker was ripped and kept huffing and puffing. I apologized and she said it was ok, but it didn't seem like it. She told me my total was $5. I handed her a $5 bill and she said "$5.40". It probably doesn't sound that bad, but her tone wasn't pleasant and now I really don't want to come back to this location. read more

Walgreens has great prices and always a great selection. Suitable for holiday shopping, prescriptions or just a few groceries on your way home, Walgreens has you covered. For folks like me who shop regularly, the Balance Rewards are great! Ok, for the bad news... This pharmacy is the slowest pharmacy second only to Wal-Mart. Even the drive-through pick up takes for.ever. I wish it were only the case that they are busy during snowbirds season, but they are slow all.year.long. I don't know if they're short staffed on the daily or what, but it sucks. Not that you have a ton of options or a choice to get meds or not. Just sayin'. read more

How can you call yourself a place for health when your employees are trying to poison people? Went in to get some hairspray at the last few minutes before they closed. While I was at the register there was an older female employee smoking within about 6 feet of the door. I asked the cashier to please ask her to take that cigarette elsewhere since I have some pretty severe allergies. The cashier didn't budge. And then told the cashier I'm pretty sure it's illegal in Mesa to smoke that close to the entrance of a building, still no response. read more

Called this morning for sons epi pen prescription. Said would be ready in an hour. Here I am sitting in the drive thru at 1:40 pm after being asked to pull around again. I've been waiting 15 min. Still waiting.... they said they forgot to refill prescription. This is one of MANY MANY errors I have dealt with at this pharmacy. I will travel far to go to another, more capable pharmacy. This is ridiculous. If my sons prescription wasn't so immediately important, I would have already called to transfer prescription to another pharmacy. Cannot tell you how many times I have been told a prescription is ready, but then I come, and the prescription has not been filled! How inconvenient! read more

You drive by and see one car ahead of you and so you think "oh this will be quick" nooo be prepared to still wait 20-30 min and then you go inside to get your prescription and it's still 10-15 min wait! Went in just to pick up a prescription and sprite for my SO. On way out decided to grab two things I needed at home, mouthwash and my boot no 7 foundation that I've been using for years. The makeup counter lady was excellent and helped me get a further discount on my items. The guy at front also excellent. These are the types of people that make a quick trip to the store pleasant. I normally love this Walgreens. Besides the pharmacy, the photos and rest of the store runs smoothly. However. Yesterday, my pharmacist had the mask pulled down beneath her nose and the woman in line in front of me had hers completely off of her face. The pharmacist didn't correct her, then handled our stuff on that counter potentially contaminating my and my family's things with covid (I have a 3 month old and a two year old so it's potentially deadly to us). They were not standing in front of the plexiglass, but the register, so their airborne spit was spreading potential covid all over the touchpad and counter. I can do my very best but if you don't do your part, it doesn't mean anything. I shouldn't be scared to pick up my medications. Seriously disappointing. They're also continually out of my medications and only give me partial refills without telling me. This has created numerous problems with my prescriber. CVS on Broadway is flawless! read more

This is tough because as a customer for almost 13 years it's hard to watch service just going downhill. First off the highlights the store itself warrants more stars because of employees like Jimmy make this location the only reason I still go here. If Jimmy ever left I would not bother. The pharmacy is where the trouble is. 30 minute waits in the drive thru with only 3 cars in line this is a little ridiculous. There has been little improvement and a waste of time and gas. Go inside to the pharmacy and expect the same speed which is slow and slower. I have completed an online store pick up and the store staff has my stuff ready before the drive thru had prescriptions ready just waiting in line. This will continue to fall on deaf ears because they appear to not care about the customer experience just the insurance money. Tried Albertsons down the street what a difference that was, fast friendly and got in and out with a line in under 10 minutes. Again if Jimmy leaves no reason to go to this location. read more

It's not all their pharmacies obviously but the one right by my house does not know how to read state laws And I've been discriminated against twice because of it when trying to obtain over the counter medication. when I disputed the issue saying I had read that law and that it only pertains to alcohol, they didn't look that law up but Asked another tech and if she "remembered" if it applies to everything and I'm sorry but if you're going to deny me the sale Of a medical product I need that ain't good enough. I Will be contacting their pharmacist and addressing the issue further. I shouldn't have to waste gas to go to a store where they pharmacy staff has better reading comprehension. It cannot be the case that theirs is the only medical facility in my zip code and surrounding zip codes following the law because this Is the only location I ever have issues. And I've read the law. no where does it give them the right to deny me services for the reason they do. I otherwise like the staff they're very nice but I'm a busy person and the gas budget is tight I don't want to go out of my way when there's a pharmacy right there and even if i'm not correct (and I am) if you're going to refuse someone service over something like this, you'd better pull up the law to make sure you're right. It only takes 2 seconds. But they didn't want to hear it. Very frustrated with the experience. I appreciate them trying to do their jobs right but asking your coworker if they remember if the law said this, just us not good enough in a medical facility. read more

I have been living at this Walgreens the last three days. First I got a horrible cold, second day woke up with pink eye and third day started to get a yeast infection so had to start a probiotic. I have been prescribed three different antibiotics and since I am pregnant I have been really miserable and nervous about being on the antibiotics. I must look as miserable as I feel because all three days that I have been there they always offer to help me and have been super friendly. The pharmaceutical team took the time to talk to me and tell me the grades of all the meds I was getting to put my mind and ease and they always had them ready promptly. Sounds weird, but I feel like the staff has taken A genuine interest in getting me back to healthy and keeping my baby safe while doing so. read more

This Walgreens is horrible!!!! You always have to wait and wait and wait for any service at the pharmacy. If you have to wait any less then an half hour before being helped consider yourself lucky. I've always been loyal to walgreens but after today I will be loyal to CVS and will not be stepping foot in another walgreens. On Sunday my son was sick so I took him to urgent care. Well by the time we were done the only walgreens open was a 24 hour one miles away from my house. When I got his script filled they had one insurance on file but not the other. The one they didn't have is the same insurance he's had since the day he was born and has been used there every other time so I don't understand that, but whatever. Anyways, my son was very sick and needed the meds so I paid out of pocket and was told to take the missing insurance info to any walgreens and they will refund me. So I went to this location as it is the one closest to my home, stood in line the mandated half hour, with a sick kid, and they told me there is nothing they could do and I would have to go to the 24 hour location miles from my house. Um, no I will not be shuffling my sick kid all around town for an error that originated on your end, twice!!! (First with the insurance they miraculously didn't have even though it's been the same and has been used every other time. And second telling me to go to any location.) I could tell they could care less about me or my situation and just wanted to shoo me away as quickly as they could. I asked for the number for corporate and again the manager seemed less then bothered by any of this and in fact seemed put out that she even had to do her job. I have contacted corporate and now have to do what Walgreens is known for. Wait two days for a response to see if they can help me!!! This place is awful!!! Do yourself a favor and find a cvs!!! read more

Walgreens as a company is great and always satisfies my needs as a customer. This review is strictly on the experience my boyfriend and I had at this location. We went in to grab some batteries, and got up to the counter. Marcy, the cashier, wouldn't acknowledge us, and continued talking to the co-worker next to her (not a big deal) but when she did finally greet us she had a horrible attigtude in her voice, acting as though we were causing her an inconvenience. She told us the price of the batteries and asked us if we had a rewards number, my boyfriend was confused about the price, and with a snotty voice she said, "DO YOU HAVE A REWARDS NUMBER MAYBE THAT WILL BRING DOWN THE PRICE". He put in the number and the price stayed the same so he wanted to double check himself but Marcy said no she would check and scoffed and went to the batteries then yelled back to register "10 PACK OF DURACELL BATTERIES ARE 10.95 LIKE IT SAID!" Very unprofessional. I get it, I work in customer service myself, and it was getting towards the end of the night but there's still a way you need to act while working and checking out customers. Extremely rude and considered calling back for the manager but decided to let it roll of my shoulders instead. Please teach your older employees that they still need to show respect towards younger customers, and consider retraining Marcy in customer service skills. read more
