I just wasted so many hours/weeks trying to transfer 9 medications from Amazon Pharmacy (in-network) to Walgreens (preferred). What a hassle. I am going back to Amazon Pharmacy it may be a bit more expensive but it is little hassle. Walgreens couldn't seem to get my 9 prescriptions with refills transferred. I did their worthless chat. I called Amazon and they said they never got the transfer requests. I call Walgreens and talked to a pharmacist who took care of it that night and called me back. That was a week ago. Now i get a request from amazon for one of my meds. I look on Walgreens site and it isn't there. I get on the phone to talk to a pharmacist again. Long hold, someone comes on and says to please hold and it rang into eternity and cut me off. I am so over this. I have informed all my specialist to change where meds are sent. And now I have to undo that PLUS re transfer my meds to Amazon Pharmacy. I am ticked. But a few extra bucks and hassle free delivery to my door is worth it. Sometimes it's just not worth the aggravations to save a few bucks. And I live on disability! read more

Good grief, here it is two years later, I'm back in the area, without remembering that this was the place where I had the earlier experience (see my previous review) and the same thing happened as before except this time there was no long line. I'm at the counter on the right with my six pack of cheap beer, happy it was only $2.99, go to pay and the kid tells me I have to go to the counter across the way to pay for it because he's under age. Helloooo. If this is (still) an issue, why not train these babies to glance down their line to check if anyone is holding alcohol so they can give them a heads up that they can't purchase it in their line? And I wonder how many times this same thing has happened to OTHER customers in the two years since I wrote my first review?? read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE, WILL NEVER BUY FROM HERE. NOR ANY LONGER GET MY PERSCRIPTIONS OR SERVICE HERE!! One star is not even an acceptable rating for how I was treated here. I PURCHASED TWO Gift cards here one was unopened and they would not refund me back for either of them! I purchased a 400$ Vanilla Visa Gift card for my mother who was visiting from out of country so she can use it while in town. She opened it and found the numbers on the front of the gift card were scratched off! This causing her to not even be able to activate or use the card at all! The fact that there is no other way to activate the gift card with scratched off the numbers was crazy enough! Two days later from the date I bought the gift card I take it back demanding to s/w a manager for a refund explaining everything to the manager who first advised me that nothing can be done then she was shamefully accusing and said there was a scam going on with these gift cards and people scratch them off and put them back on the shelf! She lied and said there are signs all over the gift card rack telling people about the SCAM! I promise there were no signs saying this if so I would have never purchased, especially not for 400$!The manager and a cashier nearby said the only option was to call Vanilla gift card and wait for an investigation this was absolutely unexceptable because I bought that gift card from Walgreens, and if they are aware of such scam they should LOCK these cards up or put them behind the counters but to sell SCAM gift cards should be ashamed! I understand it was not the fought of the ladies I s/w that day BUT it was also not my fault that a SCAM card was on their shelf for sale as it's the customer that spent their money thats gets played!! I was very upset not only was I embarrassed about giving their scam gift to my mother. Also 400$ down the drain and a MONTH later Vanilla is still Investigating on it too get my money refunded to me which is unexcpetable service! WARNING, DO NOT PURCHASE the GIFT CARDS from them, they are aware of the scam and still selling them and taking your money without ANY warning and NOT Refunding you even with you receipt and unopened gift cards!!! This location has exceptional customer service! This is not the location I commonly go to, but when I am in the neighborhood I will swing in for a candy bar or some house hold supplies. Every single time I have walked into this store, never fails, an employee always greets me! All of the cashiers are super kind, funny, and I have enjoyed nice conversations with most of them. I appreciate the Walgreens' franchises convenience of house hold supplies, medications, snacks, and makeup. But I especially love this location, because they have friendly employees that go above and beyond with their 5 star customer service everytime!! read more

i wouldn't go here for any passport photos, went and got mine done today, it was awful quality, they didn't even have a backdrop just a dirty wall to stand by which made it look very unprofessional. they also didn't even give me a option for a digital copy or anything just told me to wait for my printed pictures. $18 for crappy looking "passport photos" and couldn't even get a digital copy, wish the employees were trained better, to ask if the customer might want different available options (like digital) wish i just went to a different walgreens. read more

Ordered my wedding invitations 3/1 to be shipped to the store. I ended up having to check the tracking today as I thought it was weird to not have received an update from the store yet. Tracking showed delivered 3/7. I hadn't received any communication from the store so my fiance stopped in today to see if the invitations were in. Michael, the store manager, couldn't find our order and said he'd have an employee check their mailbox for it and left. 10 minutes later, he's checking out bags of chips chit chatting with another cashier. We're standing by the photo area like did he clock out now? Who's helping us? 3rd employee that was checking the mailbox finally returns and our order was in there. Her arms were also FULL of other orders. Who knows how long they'd gone without checking that mailbox. The entire time we were waiting for them to find our order they were chit chatting and laughing to themselves as if wasting our time was no big deal. I had to fight with them for a month to get it refilled because my insurance would not pay for it. Walgreens even said they have in video of me picking it up. The only problem. I was here back in January (yeah I am terribly late with this review) and at first I wasn't too happy with them because they didn't open until 9am and we needed some stuff to be someplace else at 9am. But when I had a medical emergency they came to my rescue! First of all it's a Walgreen's - what more need be said. My experience was with the pharmacy department. Long story short....got sick, needed inhaler, forgot to pack inhaler, freaked out! Went to CVS at first because I usually get my scrips there. Guess what? Not for the inhaler! Had to call doctors office and get him to phone in the prescription. Had him call it in to Walgreens because I just happened to have the phone number from a receipt on me. Get to Walgreens and go to pharmacy. I tell them could they hurry up the inhaler I was in distress. They said it would be 15mins but they'd try for sooner. I walk away dejected and wheezing but by the time I got to the front of the store to read some magazines it was done! Thanked them profusely, used inhaler, went back to hotel to rest. Never forgetting to pack it again!!!! read more

Abysmal customer service at the pharmacy. Cancelled my prescription because i hadn't picked it up on time. i asked why they hadn't left a voice mail and the pharmacy attendant claimed our voice mail had cut them off. While i was still there, i could hear an outgoing call on speaker phone -- their machine disconnected before the voicemail message had even finished. Then when i tried to pay, the card reader physically ejected the card -- my wife had to literally hold it in while i typed the PIN. According to the staff there, the problem was my debit card, although nothing like that has ever happened anywhere else, and did not happen at the CVS we went to right afterward. If they're going to lie about something so mundane, i certainly wouldn't trust them to be honest or accurate regarding consultations. I will never go there again. read more

Priscilla in PHARMACY LIES & has a horrible attitude. I pulled in the drive thru and asked for my Rx. She lied about my prescription being called in and even said I haven't had anything called in or done since october. I call the Dr. I went to and asked, she told me she called it in about an hour ago. I pulled into a parking spot and went into the store and told her I had my Dr on the phone, she went back to her computer and voilaaaa it was found and would take another 20 minutes to process. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, I was in line at the pharmacy to get Claritin allergy medication and instead of Christine helping me she was eating snacks and organizing medications after telling me it would be one minute until she could help me. I waited 15 minutes until asking if she planned on helping me, apparently she didn't know I was waiting????. She was extremely unprofessional and rude. I always go to Walgreens, I have tended to chose them over CVS again and again since they are usually cleaner and brighter and just more updated. I was just at this one on Stapley last week and the pharmacy tech was amazing. However my experience last night will keep me from going to Walgreens all together now. I was very sick, went to urgent care and was given a script. Walmart was closest to us so we decided to just see if they had this medication as it's hard to find, they said no and to try Walgreens which I was happy with. I get to the counter and wait in line 5-10 mins, it's around 8:20 when I am finally seen and I am told immediately without her even looking at my script that they are no longer filling scripts tonight. She said they stop half hour before they close. My mother a nurse who was a pharmacist said she had never heard ever in her 35 years of working in the medical industry a pharmacy still open turning away a sick patient filling a script. We truly couldn't believe she just said that, plus the poor people who had been waiting in line with me now all were receiving the same answer. We had to drive 15 mins in a storm to a CVS. I just pray they are not turning more sick people who need their meds away like that. It's a disgrace to the Walgreens name read more

I have been dealing with this Walgreens location East Southern and Crimson in Mesa, Az. for a number of years. The store is clean and the main store personnel is very friendly and helpful. I am usually greeted with a welcome to Walgreens when I enter the store which is nice. i have a serious complaint with the pharmacy at this location however. I have had such an array of difficulties with the pharmacy one would ask why I still try to do business at this location. The location is handy for me but I am definitely going to change locations or transfer all the families prescriptions to a competitor of Walgreens. To start with the location is usually understaffed and it takes forever to go thru the store interior line to pick up your prescription. Sometimes the script is in the worm bin but for the most part there is no help. The personal for the most part are friendly , but they have absolutely the worst training. Today took the cake. When I first got in line there were 4 people in front of me. One was being waited on as a car in the drive thu. I thought cool no problem. Mistake.. one person had an insurance issue which I understand , the person in drive they had to have the prescription located because it was in the wrong name bin. This took 10 minutes at least, and the same clerk was attempting to help both people. I peeked around back to see if there were any other employees there who could help with customers trying to purchase their filled prescriptions. There were five other people filling prescriptions. I know from dealing with this location a lot that there were two others who work the counter also. Not one of them broke away till it was finally my turn to be waited on and I walked up to the counter instead of hanging back behind their line. Why stay back no one was being waited on. The only person who was attempting to provide customer service locked up both registers and then stood there watching the pharmacists fill prescriptions. . The line in the store continued to grow. The drive thu is a nightmare also, especially if you get stuck in line and can not get out. I have complained to the store manager several times but nothing really changes. I have lost my confidence and trust in this location and Walgreens because they do not want to improve their service to the customer who in reality is paying their salaries. I gave them a 1 star because you have rate the place but they deserve a big fat zero. May be if their work load decreased by fewer patrons then they will be able to effectively help their customers in a timely and professional manner. I have dealt Walgreens in Colorado also and have had same problems so I am not sure it is a location problem maybe more Corporate Training problem read more
