It's my second day to speak with a pharmacist on the phone. I was on hold for almost 2 hours yesterday and could not hold any longer. I'm on hold 23 minutes now with "1 caller ahead of me." I would drive over but it's for my aunt and it's too far to drive for a question. I have always loved the Walgreens at Obama Blvd and Crenshaw Blvd, but my recent experiences have been extremely disappointing. When calling the pharmacy with questions about my medication, I was placed on hold for over an hour--only to be disconnected. When I called back, I waited another hour before finally reaching someone. By the time I spoke with a staff member, they sounded just as frustrated as I was. While I understand that pharmacies can be very busy, providing consistent and courteous customer service is part of the profession. I work in healthcare myself, and I know how important timely communication is. Delays like this directly affect patient care and access to medication. I needed my prescription delivered today because I couldn't make it to the pharmacy before closing. Due to the long hold times and lack of support, I now have to wait until tomorrow. I'm hoping I'll be able to reach someone then and won't have to use my day off to come in person. This level of service is unacceptable, and I truly hope improvements are made soon. read more

Terrible experience at the photo department. The customer service sucked, the manager was unhelpful, and all but one photo kiosk was working. I purchased a passport photo from here, but have decided not to use it because the staff and experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I did not want that memory embedded in my passport. As a school bus driver we unfortunately have to use restrooms other than those at school because those are not always accessible. This experience was completely disgusting. I should report this to CalOsha. The open stall is drenched in blood, urine and feces. So much for this idea. No paper, soap or seat covers. Not that I would have sat anywhere near here. As if that weren't enough, no antibacterial wipes anywhere in the store, not even by the pharmacy. I had to go back to my bus to sanitize my hands and everything I touched. I switched to this Walgreens because the Walgreens on La Brea has limited hours outside of when I'm able to stop by. Switching over was very easy and I love being able to grab my medication through the drive thru. I don't typically go inside, once in a blue moon I do but the drive thru is just more convenient. I've never had a bad customer service experience. Everyone here is nice and professional but I will say, the Walgreens on La Brea goes above and beyond in comparison. If that's important to you, definitely stick with them. If an easy breezy experience is what you're looking for, try this one. read more

Attitude central!! They miss-mark clearance items to the exact description and then the assistant manager, Monica get mad at me for not knowing it's in the "system" for full price! Then the pharmacy doesn't explain the wait time and when I go back for prescription in 20 minutes, they say it's another 20 minutes and get mad at you for being impatient. Own up to the miscommunication and be polite. Don't argue back, especially if the customer is actually right (and we aren't always right). I can't stand this place and chip on their shoulders. Well I was looking for some snacks(after I found my pantyhose which was the reason for me coming to Walgreens) and this random person walk down the aisle and said hello, how are you? I had to stop him and asked if he worked at the store and he said yes. I asked him his name and he said Kevin. It is so awesome to be greeted by the people who work in the store. Didn't know they were having a sale. I got some blue diamond almonds for $5.99 regularly priced $11.99. Yippee!! Thanks Kevin for such great customer service. I recommend this store. read more

Horrible customer service. I had appointments for 11am booster, they said to be 15 minutes early for nothing. It's 12:00pm I'm still waiting to take the shot. The pharmacy is empty and their excuse is their system is slow. So now I understand why people aren't getting their booster shot. Come give me a break, at least give me a better service. In fact, I still don't understand why they advertised the free flu shot and when I got there the attendant tried to charge me $42.00 for the supposed FREE flu shot. I still can't understand. The pharmacist was just a complete jerk. I was having difficulty getting a prescription filled for vitally important medication. I could be understanding about issues with Walgreens corporate policy, but I would expect the pharmacist to actually care about people's health, and try to find a solution. Instead, he was rude and dismissive. At one point he even said, "I'm not sure why you're trying to get this prescription." He's not sure why I'm trying to get the prescription my wife needs to live and function!? What is wrong with him!? What kind of awful person would say something like that? I had a COVID test appt scheduled for 12:45pm and arrived to the drive-thru at 12:20pm. By the time I reached the drive-thru service window at 1:30pm, 1 hour later, I was told to come back at 2:15pm because the pharmacy staff was on their lunch break. I came back at 2:15pm to do a 5-minute COVID test that took me 2 hours to actually get. I find it absolutely ridiculous that I was instructed to come in at a specific time and wait 2 hours without any explanation as to why I had to wait so long. Absolutely ridiculous. I don't know if staffing was a concern this day, but I hope it's not like this every day here. read more

I have to place the burden of responsibility for the poor service and upkeep on the management- and I'm sure they will blame it on corporate but whatever the case it would be nice to see some improvements. A nice new floor, new shelving units, plants, better lighting fixtures. Check out Bristol Farms' vibe as an example. Do not shop at this location. Neither should you get any vaccines there. I spoke to a super rude supervisor Shannon in the pharmacy. I called the pharmacy to ask if they are doing booster shots as I received the J&J vaccine. You would have thought I asked a trick question. Who tells their customers "sir you are deeply confused and now you're confusing me." I did not pose a trick question. She was super rude. I know we are in tough times but if you think a customer is confused in asking for the booster shot, I would suggest you don't administer boosters there. My wife was gonna kill me because I waited til last minute to print one last picture for our daughters school project. 8 pm every auto print thing down across LA. I come here, they call over help, grab a technician, print the picture in about 90 seconds and then say "don't worry about it". I had to pay and personally thank all 4 of the staff who helped me out. This is probably one of the worst walgreens i have ever been to. I called, the person answering was rude. All O was trying to figure out was gow long it would take to convert a picture into a mouse pad. No one in the store could give me an answer, after being transferred 4 times, I told them I would walk in instead. The lady in the front of the store looked at me like I had taken something, she didn't even say hello from which was weird since every other walgreens has a common greeting. Anyhow, I decided to go to the photo dept, the person in charge of that dept was not available, so they could not give a definite answer. I reply with ok thats fine since I've already been waiting for a bit. She comes back a few mins later and says WHAT CAN I HELP YOU WITH NOW I inform her well you told me to wait 15mins. She replies with an attitude well you can't wait here, I'm like okay do I park.on the side? She said no you have to get in line again, you can't wait at the window. I asked can you call me.when its ready and I can walk and pick it up. She replies with a attitude like I'm stupid NO, don't you understand. First of all she never told me I couldn't wait at the window. I decide to park and go in as soon as I do I get a call from Walgreens your prescription is ready. Less then 2 mins.
