The 1.8-star review this pharmacy has is far too generous. This is, without a doubt the worst pharmacy that I have ever dealt with. It is near impossible to reach by telephone, with, on average 20 a minute wait. The employees answering are often abrupt, impatient, sound put upon as well as incompetent. Yesterday I called to inquire about a prescription. The employee answering sounded like a young male. To call him incompetent is being kind. Every single question that I had, every single one, including "what time will you open tomorrow morning" was answered by "hold on" where he then sought the info. You don't know what time your store opens? At the counter, one usually encounters long waits, either because there's only one clerk who not only mans the counter but answers the phone, and works the drive through or, the employees are gathered toward the rear of the store near the shelving in a cluster talking. Obviously not talking about business but idle chatter as evidenced by the fact that they're often laughing. This is observed via the large round mirror which apparently is to be used by those employees to observe if any customers are waiting, a mirror they are too busy talking to utilize. On occasion I've seen the female pharmacist participating in this unprofessional behavior. I've had occasion that I've received text and email messages that my prescription is ready only to arrive and be told it's not and "I don't know why 'it' does that". This after a 20 mile, near 30 minute drive one way. On one occasion I arrived to pick up my script only to be told "you already picked it up". A long, and apparently confused search and investigation by this group of incompetents revealed that they gave my prescription to a person with the same name as me. Their remedy? "Let us contact that person first to confirm and then we'll call you to fill the prescription". WTF! so now I have to make two 40 mile round trips due to their incompetence. Don't you ask for DOBs? Not always I suppose. Another time, I picked up three prescriptions, all no charge because of my insurance. Arriving at home I discover someone elses medication in my bag. No charge so I didn't notice a differing price which may have alerted me. So now another 40 mile round trip to return a medication again due to their incompetence. The latest, I'm recovering from two surgeries, my Dr. called in a refill for pain meds. I called to see if it was ready and after 16 minutes the young incompetent male earlier mentioned answered and the duh "let me check" to every question ensued. My previous refill was for 7 days, this was day 7 of that refill and I was of course out of pain meds. The female pharmacist, relayed through the male dunce that it can't be refilled because it's 7 days. I tell the dummy today is 7 days and he says "oh yeah you're right, let me check". I remind him I'm recovering from surgery and in pain. After a wait I'm then told by him "it can't be refilled until tomorrow". Again WTF! I ask what time they'll be open..."hold on" WTF. He returns to the phone stating "The pharmacist says we open at 8am but you can't get it until after 9AM". I'm pissed off, tell him "Tell her thanks an Fing lot, see you tomorrow". I arrive at 9:15am, have to shout "can someone wait on me?" A clerk arrives looks up my account and says "this can't be refilled until today so it'll be ready in 20 - 25 minutes. I'm again pissed off, explain that I spent the night and morning in significant pain because the pharmacist either won't refill on the 7th day but the 8th because she's lacking in understanding, compassion, and empathy and splitting hairs about the days (My Dr. sent the script knowing that I needed the meds) or can't count days. I state in no uncertain terms "Please fill my script". It's ready in 10 minutes, I pay and leave never to return. I transferred my prescriptions to another pharmacy. The one positive of this den of morons is one of the clerks or tech, not sure of the title. I do not know her name so can only describe her, she's a young African American lady with various piercings. Pleasant, friendly, professional, and competent. Hopefully she's not dragged down to the level of her co-workers. This pharmacy exemplifies why Walgreens is failing across the nation. read more
