The produce is high quality here, not to mention, the sushi bar is great, the subs are the best, and they have a Starbucks in the store. The store is well staffed and you can always find someone to help you find an item. It is not the cheapest grocery store around, but they have tons of sales every week. Today my checker Jayla was extremely rude. This is not the first time I have been treated poorly by Jayla. She was not commutative when I ask her a question about an open bag of ice cream cups. She was not commutative when I told her my husband would bag. When I told her I would "round up" my bill, she again was non commutative. At the end of my visit she handed me my receipt without eye contact in fact she turned her head to the side and looked over her shoulder (no thank you or anything). Most of the checkers in this store are lovely people who go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. As I said, this is not my first experience with her behavior. After a recent surgery, I was prescribed a pain killer. The lady at the drive-through said we had to wait for the pharmacist before giving me any of my surgery based prescriptions. After a long wait (10 cars were in line behind us) the pharmacist asked if I had any quetions. When I asked to see the prescriptions so I could read the instructions, I was told "NO! I can't give you the pills until you pay for them". A whole two dollars. Yup, no information for you...pay first. Money first, not your health.

The pharmacist carefully reviewed my prescriptions and prescription history and managed to provide a few days additional supply, reducing my anxiety and protecting my health. Note: this pharmacist provided more meaningful information about my prescriptions - purposes, benefits and risks - than my general physician has in years. I deeply appreciated the primer on medications that I have taken for years. Thank you! Of course, I found some other affordable tourist items while waiting for the prescriptions to be filled too. First of all, we set everything up with them in person. We were notified that our script was ready but when we went to pick it up, they didn't have us in their system and had no script for us. We had to call the Dr. and have them send the script again! After a long wait, we were told that we would have to start all over again and it wouldn't be ready until the next day. When we tried to call them to see if they had the prescription, we were not able to get through. Because one of the scripts was needed, we went to another pharmacy (Harris Teeter). We were told they don't like dealing with them to transfer as they were difficult to deal with. They suggested that we call our doctor again and have them send all scripts to HTeeter. This we did and hopefully I will have my much needed script tomorrow. My hubby and I never want to step foot in that dingy, old pharmacy again. If you are smart, you won't either.
