Zero staff. Zero courtesy. Out of meds. Worst service and longest lines ever. Lake Wylie needs a new pharmacy.

Nice place . They could use more help in the pharmacy but otherwise I liked the staff. They always seem to be short handed

Another aisle of protein bars, candy and other sweet/salty snacks. Of course, the Walgreens has a photo section, cosmetics, over the counter drugs, personal care, greeting cards and full service pharmacy. ATM near the door, too. The pharmacy has a drive through and there is plenty of parking. [Review 14954 overall, 456 of 2021, number 2845 in North Carolina.]

Even though it had been over an hour since the prescription was called in. My husband decided to try his luck inside. A younger lady was at the front desk so he asked her about it and she immediately started getting it ready. Meanwhile my husband noticed the lead pharmacist was very rudely telling another customer to hurry up because this was his lunch break (again, this was before their lunch break start time). After that customer left, the lady gave the lead pharmacist my prescription and told him to help my husband. The lead pharmacist looked at my husband with a lot of spite and rudely said "I thought I told you to wait until after lunch" as he began to ring it up. Super rude behavior from a supposed professional. Won't be using this pharmacy again as long as this guy is working it.

I've been a customer of this location since it first became a drug store. so I've been with this…read moreWalgreens since it opened. i reached my limit with them today. my doctor called in a new medication for my chronic and severe pain issue. the only drawback is you will get sick if you skip a dose. Walgreens texted that there was an issue with insurance for the 40mg. my insurance paid for the 20 mg two months ago. a week later they still have let me know nothing. So I call...seems my insurance refuses to pay. but did they let me know that? no, they said they were working on the issue. I run out of medicine in two days. I call the insurance and my doctor. insurance says it'll pay for 2 20 mg a day but not a single 40 mg a day. so the doctor calls another prescription in at 11:00. at 4:30 it still wasn't ready, but would be at 5:30. so my husband waits in line at the drive thru for half an hour only to have the window close two cars ahead of him. so he goes inside. the girl inside, the one with the real low voice says theres still a problem with the insurance and she's closed so she can't fix it. I'm now two days without the medicine and really understanding why they say you cannot skip a dose. I call and they tell me it's ready. so I go up there to get it and they can't process the insurance. seems like they would have made sure before they told me it was ready. Had the grip last night taken five minutes to help my husband last night we would have known the problem that would transpire today. my father had a mom and pop for forty years. not once did we tell someone we couldn't help because it was time to go home. not a single time in forty years. now I get automated calls from this place at least twice a week, I get texts also at least twice a week to tell me of upcoming prescriptions that I'm not put of but they can't call me to tell me my insurance refuses to cover a medicine? they said they could take care of it on Monday. I have an 88 year old mother who lives two hours away that I help take care of. I'm leaving on Sunday to do that. So not only will I not be here to get the medicine, I will have been without it for five days...and likely feeling pretty bad over it. did I mention its bad to quit this stuff cold Turkey? then the pharmacist asked me if I was still taking the former medicine...I told the pharmacist two months ago that I wasn't and she said she would cancel it, obviously it didn't get canceled. how are they this inefficient. this is not an isolated instance. in fact it's the norm with this place. this was the last straw. I'm coming back in town in a week and all my prescriptions are getting transferred. ...this is the most pathetic excuse for a business that I've ever seen. anyone living in Tega Cay should be aware. Update....i opened my prescription...they filled the WRONG one. My doctor called I a new script yesterday at 11:00... they filled the old one they knew would not go thru insurance because it had already been denied..then kept asking me for a different insurance card and could not seem to understand why it wouldn't go thru. I told them multiple times that insurance would not pay fir the 40s but they will pay for 2 20s...yet they still filled the 40s abd not the new script fur 2 20s... WTF?

Although it's hard to imagine, things at this pharmacy have gone from bad to worse…read more Today was the typical drive-thru pickup ridiculousness....but when I finally reached the service window, after waiting in my car for an hour, I was handed a clipboard with a paper that read, "CASH ONLY". Okay, their systems are down and life happens, but how hard would it be to VISIBLY post "CASH ONLY" for all of the drivers waiting in line? When I called before driving here and spoke to a pharmacist--who assured me that my prescription was ready for pickup--why didn't she mention that I need to have cash? Where is the basic level of logic here? I'm not sure whether this message was visible to customers waiting in-store prior to them reaching their service window. At this pharmacy, in-store and drive-thru wait times seem to be exactly the same, so I haven't bothered waiting inside recently, and can only vouch for my current drive-thru experience. When I return in the evening, cash-equipped, there is now a sign taped to the drive-up window that says "CASH ONLY". Should this be viewed as progress, an evolution from clipboard to window? EVERYONE WAITING IN LINE STILL CANNOT SEE "CASH ONLY". IT'S ONLY WHEN YOU ARE AT THE ACTUAL WINDOW, AFTER WAITING AT LEAST AN HOUR, THAT YOU ARE INFORMED OF THIS POLICY. TAPE AT LEAST ONE "CASH ONLY" SIGN TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE TO SAVE CUSTOMERS. I AM TYPING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I HOPE WALGREENS WILL EVENTUALLY HEAR ME AND STOP UNDERSTAFFING AND (PROBABLY) UNDERPAYING THIS PHARMACY, OR WHATEVER THE UNDERLYING PROBLEM IS. I've never had these issues at another Walgreens pharmacy, or any pharmacy, ever. Even if this location initially seems more convenient, you'll end up wasting more time and headaches than necessary to justify a shorter drive. As stated in my previous review: save yourself and go elsewhere. Sugar Creek Walgreens pharmacy is only declining.

This location does offer a drive through for their pharmacy. I'm a fan! [Review 10805 overall, 573 of 2019.]
