It's a nice store. They always seem to have deals on cosmetics. The workers are friendly and trustful. I say this because last time I went I had a "buy one get one free" item and I had apparently picked the wrong item to get for free so I went back and they just waved me out since they'd already charged me for it. That's not a complaint, but I do feel they should be more careful about that. Also, today when I went I wanted to use my Walgreen's number/card so I could get more points for shopping there but the cashier just said "no need." I don't know if he was just being lazy or in a hurry but it didn't really sit right with me because I wanted my points. Besides that, he was actually pretty helpful on two different occasions, including finding the lipstick that I had picked out. I like coming here because it's never crowded and it's right next to Petco when I'm just roaming around with my boy. It's convenient. But I seriously hate this parking lot because it's small for all the stores it has to cater to. read more

So I love that this Walgreens is super close to me and they have a Red Box that I frequent. It is a basic Walgreens, nothing fancy, nothing terrible. The thing that is frustrating is that they have a hard time keeping the line moving so the check out time is a little silly. This walgreens does have a drive thru for the prescriptions but I never get prescriptions so doesn't help me! read more

I like most Walgreens but the pharmacy department here is terrible. They quote you an hour to wait even when you're the only person there. When that hour is passed and you check on the prescription its "10 more minutes" every 10 minutes for another half an hour. read more

The techs seem to not care about their job and communication between this department with rest of store is HORRIBLE. I'll receive an email saying my order is ready for pick up but it's not. LONGS HAS BETTER SERVICE! FYI: THERE IS ONLY ONE LINE!!! Normally I don't mind walgreens: it's small and kind of organized, and the staff usually minds their own business unless asked a question. But tonight one of the sale associates named Maggie gave me the worst service I ever got from these kinds of stores. There were customers checking out on the register and the left, and customers checking out on the register on the right. So I stood behind the people in the left and my friend stood behind the customers on the right. When the people in front of me finished Maggie held up her hand in front of me and yelled "Next!" And yelling towards my friend. He didn't move towards her at first since I was "in line" and ready to pay so she looked at me and said "there's only one line". I was so shocked so I stood behind the line again and watched her ring up my friend. Now I should let you all know that I just had to buy lightbulbs (60 watts). So I threw my lightbulbs on the counter and had to have my friend buy my lightbulbs because I didn't want to stand in the correct line again. I told her they should put up a sign letting their customers know that there is only one line. She said "there has always been one line" which to me is a lie because I have stood in the non-existent line several times before. So I told my friends brother to move out of the way of the registers so that other customers don't think there is a line and she piped in and said "we dont need a sign. It's common sense!" WHAT THE HELL KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES WALGREENS ALLOW THEIR EMPLOYEES TO GIVE?! I was so pissed I wasn't thinking and continued to let my friend pay for my lightbulbs. I should have left them for Maggie to put away! I don't understand why she couldn't just let me purchase my one set of lightbulbs. I don't know what got her panties in a twist (or maybe she should were looser ones), but I will no longer go there or any other walgreens when Longs is readily available 24 hrs as well. Drive through pharmacy awesome, used to get my prescriptions filled at Longs, however at both Kaneohe locations I've had bad service, rude workers, and messed up prescrptions. Walgreens pharmacist went out of her way to show us cheaper alternative OTC medication options that cost far less than prescription drugs. read more

Walgreens Kaneohe Pharmacy is horrible. Went to pick up prescriptions through the drive through. There were one car to each lane. The car in front of me leaves and the clerks helps the others in the store. Which is fine if they came first but then after helping the 2 that were there 3 other people walked up as myself and he car next to me waited. No other person around to assist. After helping the 2 in store customers I thought okay now it's our turn in the drive through. Since we were there before those others that came to stand in line. Nope. She kept helping those in line in the store and ignored us outside. No I'll be right with you or I'll be with you next. No acknowledgement nothing. So I left. Now they are closed today on thanksgiving, they are no longer 24 hrs. So I think I will take my business elsewhere if this is how they treat customers. Time to transfer all prescriptions to another pharmacy with better service! read more

I have to say every single time I go into this Walgreens store I get the best customer service compared to all other Walgreens on the island. The staff is so helpful even if I have dumb questions. I go every Sunday morning and every new face is see always has a smile. I have to point out one person though, the overnight manager Densie is amazing!! She has helped me a few times and always finds a solution to any issues I may have such as them not having a product I need. Denise goes above and beyond to help her customers, best manager of any store I have ever meet. Thank you guys for making my visits to your location an enjoyable one!! I don't mind Walgreens but their photo center and pharmacy has horrible customer service. The pharmacy is so slow and even if it's not busy you're going to wait in line for a while because the people behind the counter just stare at you like you're just there to admire their counter. I mean I get they're probably busy answering phone calls and filling prescriptions but a "I'll be right with you" or something would be nice to actually acknowledge that I'm there. Secondly their photo center is alright. It's a hit or miss and your experience basically depends on whoever assists you. I've ordered from them before and the service was fine but the last time I went pushed me to write this. On Thursday night I went to the photo center to pick up some pictures I ordered online. When I got there a lady by the name Jenni (who is the shift leader) was in the photo center looking in boxes and I was standing there for a good close to ten minutes before she decided to stop what she was doing to help me. Actually it took another person coming in to pick up pictures standing behind me waiting for her to finally acknowledge me. I tried to get her attention and she literally did nothing but stand there looking at her boxes. read more

Great walgreens in hawaii, its basic for mainland standards but clean and great employees that are warm and helpful and attentive to customers' needs. The checkout line can get a little long in my experience. The two ladies that work at the pharmacy dept were great also and had no problems filling a new prescription. The prices for snacks are great with sales here, better than the supermarkets on things like lorna doone for 1.50 and saltines, cheese crackers, etc. I would recommend to everyone *update 7/11/14* I was shocked to find out going to the store around midnight that no one could assist me in cosmetics after waiting by the counter for nearly 10 minutes. I walked over to a manager and asked for help and she looked at me like a deer in headlights when I asked for help in the cosmetics dept to find something. She said she would get someone to help, again I waited by the counter. Finally I grabbed whatever else i needed and went to the registers, again no one helped me when i told them about the item I wanted, and that it was sold out. I was not offered a replacement or raincheck. Instead of asking for anything else or waiting longer I left that store, tired of waiting for employees that were incapable of good customer service. It was busy in the store but seemed like your average night, I dont know what could have happened there that night but it was a very different experience than before. I am downgrading from 4 stars to 3 stars, generously giving them the benefit of the doubt. The still have generally freindly customer service and are helpful. read more

The Photo service for the Walgreens in Kaneohe is TERRIBLE. I will never order from here again. I have had multiple bad experiences and should have learned my lesson. The product quality is mediocre as is their service. I ordered Christmas photo cards that looked like I printed and cut them out myself.. actually, I could have done a way better job myself! I had to reorder from Shutterfly and wait to have it shipped. (Shutterfly is more expensive and you have to ship it, but the quality is SO MUCH BETTER). I've ordered magnets because they had a magnet sale and the quality is also horrible. I could have printed them myself and snapped the magnet together... The quality is just so poor. You get what you pay for right? The worst service I've had so far though was recent. I ordered 85 prints and half of them came out ripped/damaged... I called and the "manager" said they would have them reprinted and I could pick them up that day. I went about 2.5 hours later and they weren't ready yet. The girl that helped me (who was very nice) didnt usually work in photo so she had a hard time locating them. It turns out they were printed but not boxed yet. She boxed them and handed them to me and as I was leaving, the "manager" stopped me and said that I couldn't keep the damaged prints. Because only half of them were damanged, I asked If i could just keep them because they were going to be disposed anyway... She said no, and that she would have to charge me for them... UMM NOO! I had to go out of my way and come back because the photos were damaged and you want to charge me for the ones I wanted to keep?!? how unethical is that... No apology for wasting my time nothing. Just "sorry" because I wanted to keep MY PHOTOS that they were going to "destroy" anyway... This is absolute BULL. I will take my business elsewhere. I would rather shop online at Shutterly and pay for shipping then order anything through Walgreens again. If anything is wrong with my order or it doesn't get to me they automatically send me another one or credit back my shipping. The quality is way better and worth it. I won't be shopping at Walgreens ever again. read more

I know this is bad, but I enjoy going to this Walgreens over the Longs in this shopping center. I didn't have a preference until I was looking for a Beauty Blender dupe. In a nutshell, Longs didn't accommodate to me, the customer, so I took my business to Walgreens. I've been to this Walgreens before, and I know for some of their beauty products (nail polish) they allow returns. The workers seem pleasant. I never thought I would review a drugstore on yelp but wow did I have a great experience getting photos at walgreens recently. went in to the store without much knowledge of how to use same day photo machines. as I stood their lost a bright spot in the day came to the rescue. his name was egan. what a cool guy. he not only showed me how to look up photos on my camera card but he took the time to help me with sizing and other cool touch ups. nice quality of photos came out. impressed read more

The worst! Ordered photos online. Was promised by 7:15 pm. Went in at 8 pm, they weren't ready. So I asked if I could come by at 6 am. They said they would definitely be ready. I went in, had to wait in line at the cash register just to ask someone to attend the photo department. Then again, photos weren't ready. "Oh, we could have done it for you in 10 minutes last night but now are computers are 'acting up'". "We can probably have it done for you by 1pm I was told." Thanks, but yeah, I needed them by 1pm and will be on the other side of the island and will not be coming back until 7pm. So Walgreens you have effectively completely failed. read more

Walgreens Kaneohe pharmacy is horrible they don't communicate with the patients at all they depend on an automated machine to relay messages if your prescription is either ready or delayed but you might not get a message, call or email because the automated only relays messages until a certain time. So that's when the staff should do a courtesy phone call especially to the patients they know there's a problem with the prescription and they need to get ahold of the patients doctor and by then the doctors office is closed. The irritating part is that they say your prescription will be ready in an hour and it ain't even ready because there is something wrong with your prescription. They need a better system at the pharmacy they literally suck. Even after I asked will I receive a call back when they speak with my doctors office regarding the problem will I than receive a call and I got the same answer we don't do follow up phone calls you can either call back or the automated with notify you. So pretty much you need to do there job as well and contact your doctor because you know it's going to take days for the pharmacy to contact your doctor and the pharmacy will tell you that they are still waiting to hear from your doctor. Than when you call your doctor to follow up on why the prescription wasn't corrected the doctors office will tell you the pharmacy didn't even call regarding the problem. So everyone FYI it's not your doctors it's the damn pharmacy who causes all the delays and wait times for your prescriptions. read more

I needed to pick up a prescription at this Walgreen's because the one I usually go to didn't have my medication. I decided to go through the drive thru service that has two lanes, but I felt more comfortable waiting in the one closest to the window. I had already waited about 15 minutes with 2 cars in front of me and two in the outer lane. For some reason the woman in the outer lane had backed up behind me as I pulled up to the window and another car pulled into the outer lane. The clerk inside turned around and saw that she recognized the woman in the vehicle in the outer lane and proceeded to assist her, over heard the woman say, "I am picking up for my dad." I sat there and continued to wait patiently and wished I would have said something like, "excuse me, I was here first and had already been waiting...as your friend had just pulled up." The other clerk looked at her as with wonder if I had been helped? That clerk assisted me instead. I did get to see the other clerks name, Samantha. She need to pay attention as to what is happening in the drive thru lane and not be helping someone first just because she knows them. Hopefully I won't need to go to Kaneohe again for pick up medicine. read more

I decided to switch my prescriptions from Long's to Walgreen's in Kaneohe about six months ago. That was a mistake. Every single time I have ordered or picked up there is a problem usually involving an issue being handled one way by one employee and another way by the next. Twice I've been told my prescription was ready but when I go to pick up I'm told they cannot fill for x more days under State law. Why would you text me to pick up or say it's ready when I call if you cannot fill? Had to ask the doctor for a paper prescription because the electronic prescription was causing problems. Next, my doctor always includes 3 refills and has for years. Two months ago the pharmacist says there is a 2 refill max on my meds so they logged 3 refills as two refills. Today, same thing: doctor wrote 3 refills but this time "a call to the doctor is required" on a Saturday and whoever answered said to change to no refills. WHAT? Always, always, always problems. Back to Long's. Never should have tried Walgreen's in the first place. read more
