As far as I can remember, I have shopped at Longs Drugs (LD) for many, many years. My fondest memories would be during the late summers as I'd have a list of school supplies to get before the new school year started. I still find myself choosing LD as my preferred store for shopping. I am in Kaneohe a lot and this location is convenient for its 24/7 hours. I can come late in the evening to see a fairly empty store for the ideal quick in-and-out shopping. Once I started to experience a semi-bruised ankle at work with 4 hours left in my shift. I came here to get Advil. I made it through my shift without further injury. This pharmacy has good customer service. For the last 2 years I've gotten my flu shot here and has helped me survive the flu season. There was a hiccup this last go around. A Kaneohe staff called my cell TWICE with a courtesy reminder for the flu shot. I could have easily gone to Longs at Kam Shopping Center or the Pali location, where both are close to my home. But I decided to patronize Kaneohe location and was sadly disappointed. I first went to the pharmacy prescription line only to have me stand in the long line because the staff searched high and low and couldn't locate my flu shot papers. Why would Kaneohe Longs call me TWICE to have me come down for the flu shot? I didn't say anything and I stood in this long line deep with about 10 people. I waited patiently for my turn to have the staff produce my papers. I then was advised to stand in line AGAIN at the prescription line and was informed to wait as a staff needed to verify my insurance coverage. I was about to lose my cool but the young female staff was apologetic and went back and forth both register lines trying to expedite my request. I sat down and waited patiently again but this time sitting next to people who were obviously sick. Coughing, sneezing, blowing their noses.......yikes!!! Gosh, it was nerve-racking fearing that I would catch their germs. To kill time, my cell phone kept me company and waited over 20 minutes until my name was finally called. I did my best not to lose my cool when the pharmacist came out to administer my shot. It wasn't his fault that I had this extensive 30+ min wait. If you recall previous reviews, I had a really bad experience with needles as an adult that was mentally scarring. I feared the shot but the pharmacist was sincere and performed the shot without me realizing he had already inserted the needle. With a sigh of relief, I was happy it was done and off I went. Some people would penalize the business with a hiccup like this but I was overall impressed on how the staff attended to my issue. A shout out to the young Asian female staff who went the extra mile going back and forth both registers to speed up the process.

They have what I need, open all the time, coupons directly to phone, so I shop here all the time. If I need a lei last minute, a card, pen, paper, even a snack as well as regular planned shopping, their weekly specials are a good reason to go regularly. Would get 5 stars if the employees looked happier but since CVS took over I think it lost a little of the aloha spirit. Also, I see alot of signs of theft and once saw someone walk out with 2 cases of beer and no one stopped him. It must be demoralizing to know some of your regulars are thieves and contribute to your low wages because they cut into profits.

This is my go-to Long's when on the Waianae coast. I stopped in last minute to stock up on Halloween Candy. They had large bags on sale, awesome. Saved me a few bucks. I took advantage of the BOGO 1/2 off halloween decorations and got me a light up headband and a garland. The headband wouldn't light up in the store, none of the 3 would, so I figured the batteries needed to adjusted. Nope! Won't light up at all! Disappointing! $7 down the drain!!!!

This location is actually closest to the house. All I needed was nail clippers and wasn't sure if they carried them in stock. Running short on time, I ended up asking for assistance to locate the item. (It was a big store and I was unfamiliar with the layout.) Once finding the clippers, I only had to wait a few minutes for the next cashier. Overall, I had a great experience and would shop here again.

In search of Fish Musubi…read more.. My friend, Ray, told me about the yummy Fish Musubi at 7-Eleven. So far, I haven't seen it in Kaneohe or Kahaluu. I even went to one 7-Eleven on the other side of Kailua - kind of by Kalaheo High School. Today's 7-Eleven is the first one you see as you drive from Honolulu on the Pali Highway to Kailua - on the right side of the road, right behind the Aloha Gas Station. It's quite busy here because of its location. There were customers standing in line, 6 feet apart, as two cashiers were doing their best to ring everyone up efficiently. I checked for the fish musubi, but there were none. I asked the cashier about it and she told me that they don't have many and the shipment comes in the early morning hours. I'll just have to return at 5am! Anyway, this busy store has the usual convenience items, cold beverages, yummy snacks, and "to go" hot foods. I got a lup cheong manapua (steamed bun with Chinese sausage filling). The ratio of bun to sausage was perfect because the sausage was on the salty side. The soft bun helped to balance out the flavor! So, I will be back for that Fish Musubi... and a Taro Manju... and peanutbutter mochi... and maybe a candy lei for a birthday or graduation when Social Distancing is over...

You want to go back way back talking about old school. Stopped by this afternoon to get a drink…read morebefore heading back to town. Got a cold drink plus a spam musubi. Their famous for their spam musubi and can't go wrong it's quick and easy and you can eat it while you drive . I remember coming to this small wooden convenience store when I was in my teens . Also for locals heading around the island it's normally a good quick stop to buy ice and load up on your favorite adult beverage. The Hygienic store still looks the same they sell ice, liquor, cold drinks , chips , candy , spam musubi, some household product also canned goods . Support local and be safe

You can't walk into hygienic without feeling the sense of Aloha. From ethnic foods like pasteles to modern treats like Icees there's something here for everybody. The staff treats everyone with Aloha. Personally, I get Kava here every couple of weeks. Their Kava is the second best I've ever had, and the Fiji variety of Kava is particularly good. I was pleased to learn that they carried Kava, so I don't have to drive to Kalihi to get it, which is a relief because I'm an old fut who does not like driving in to Honolulu. They are just a 5 to 10 minute drive from Haiku Woods, so it's my preferred place to get Kava. If you live here their goods all have local appeal. If you're just visiting Honolulu, Hygienic store is a great place to get the feel of local culture and maybe discover a couple of new favorite foods.

I loved that he said that., while he was air frying my spam dog he also kept helping customers... smiling and happy the whole time I am writing this review because my experience yesterday at your Kaneohe Bat store was the exact opposite... when I asked the sales girl she said they didn't have any and because I really wanted to try it as it just showed up on my rewards list... I shared this with her and she still told me none... I pressed a little more by asking when they would be ready she said she didn't know and when I asked her when should I come back she looked in the fridge and said she only had I can't remember what she said she had Then she said she doesn't know if they gave some in back cause the freezer is broken I have had negative experiences with this store before... the sales people are quick to say I don't know... I don't think they understand the concept of customer service and most concerning is that they are definitely NOT customer centered and are quick to say I don't know! NOT A GOOD STORE... they definitely need customer service training and are NOT a good representation of what 711 wants ... Getting back to ELIjAH give home a raise he is representing the Kaneohe Shopping center store well!!!!!
