This store has security personnel so I'm not sure if it's a safety precaution or if there's theft in the area, or a requirement for the building's insurance. Whatever the cause, there's a security presence. This location is in a shopping center called the High Desert Gateway I believe. The next closest location is in Apple Valley and then down the hill. They ran out of the birthday gifts already for September but told me I could call or come back on Friday. I stood in line waiting, unacknowledged for a few minutes before I asked the cashier if she was open. She never looked in my direction or said she could help the next customer in line as they sometimes do. It's like she didn't even notice a customer was there. What an awful experience. I'm not a makeup person and felt completely lost. It's like how people that don't like gyms feel when they go to a gym. I'm not a makeup girlie so it would have been nice to have a warm introduction into what could work for my skin tone but nope, it was like I was invisible. I don't intend on returning unless my lip products don't turn out well but otherwise I cannot recommend this store based on poor customer service. The same products they sell can be purchased online, at another Ulta or frankly at another store.

I bring it to her and then she tells me she has to charge me extra since it was an online order and because things are "cheaper online". Like what?! Couldn't you have told me that before instead of wasting my time and yours?! Making me go through the exchange process only to tell me AFTER that she was going to charge me extra. LOL really! Coming in, a huge sign, cash only, walking in I was told cash only and handed a sales flyer right away. Followed and handed another flyer right away, though I still had the first one...WTH? She was helpful, unlike the others stated, but just not upbeat whatsoever (not even sure she had a heartbeat....) You could really tell she wanted to be anywhere but here (and they just opened for the day!) but let me open the packaging to check the quality and I found exactly what I wanted for exactly the price I wanted to spend. They have a huge selection which was great with the cash only aspect since what I wanted was at first close to $200, kept looking and food an equally good product for $50, was bothered to get their sally card for $5 several times (not interested) and off I went. I did get what I want for a good price, but the service, not so nice store and just lack of needing beauty supplies more than once in a blue moon will keep me from coming back I'm sure.
