If I could give 0 stars I would. This pharmacy is the worse. Today we dropped off a prescription at 130pm we're told it would be ready in 2 hrs. After not hearing anything 5 hrs later, I called to check up. They never even began to process the prescription into my file. Nothing had been done for 5hrs. My prescription was just sitting on the counter. This is beyond unacceptable. Then, the pharmacist says, I'm so sorry I'll have it in 30 mins, mind you this was after a 40 mins phone call hold. It's 615pm, way beyond the 30 mins and they didn't have it ready and closed the door on my husband bc it was break time. I can't make this stuff up. This is why Walgreens is going under. Dropped off a prescription for my wife around 1:30 pm after she was released from the hospital due to surgery. I was told it would be ready in 2 hours. 5 hours later the prescription was not ready and I was told I can't get my prescription because the pharmacist logged off for lunch. It's just not acceptable. I get that they are busy and short staffed, but common 5 hours later and still not ready. @walgreens must do better!!!!! read more

We moved to Hanover Park in 1989, ever since I have been going to this Walgreens. I am perplexed why this Walgreens have got so many 1 star and 2 stars. I visit this store at least 2 to 3 times a week, mostly Photo department and Pharmacy. Not a single bad experience in more than 30 plus years. In fact i keep telling people working there that i have been to 6 Walgreens in different States, this Walgreens remains my favorite. My review is specifically for the pharmacy. I probably should have looked at all the reviews before I scheduled for a COVID test here. Looks like most of the poor reviews are due to the pharmacy, and I can see why after my experience! I scheduled the COVID test on the Walgreens website for 11:15am at this location while my boyfriend scheduled it for 11:30am. We arrived promptly a few minutes before 11:15am at the drive-thru pharmacy, and the employee tells us that she can't provide the tests to us because the pharmacist is on a break and that she can't do it without the pharmacist there. She told us to come back after an hour. When I saw the hours on the drive-thru window, it said that the pharmacy break was 1:30-2:00pm on Saturday and Sunday but nothing was written for Monday - Friday. When I was at home and called the pharmacy around 12:30pm, no one picked up but the automated message before that said that the pharmacist break is 11:00am-11:30am. I don't know if it's the Walgreens website or this location, but we shouldn't be able to book an 11:15am or 11:30am if the break is truly 11:00am-11:30am. If you value your time, I would recommend going to a different pharmacy. read more

Went to the Walgreens up the road and was told that they won't serve people with foreign passports. No problem at this store. Maybe the lady at the other store had a bad day but I find it crazy to tell me to go back to Germany. Never had something like that happen. I told the lady at the store here what happened and she was very nice and we had no problem buying items with a valid German passport. read more

I come to this Walgreens all of the time. The woman that's sometimes at the counter when I often go in is always in a great mood! I finally got her name, this time. Sharon, thank you for always making me smile! Even if I'm in a bad mood or feeling ill and there for medicine, she always makes me smile. It's nice to have employees that seem to genuinely enjoy their job and their customers. Two days ago, I needed a prescription refill before my refill date and the pharmacy was super helpful in getting it done. I was miserable for days before I called and they helped me out with no problems. Knowing I was in pain, they got it done so quickly! Thank you so much for that! Store Review: This place continues to get a 1 star. I forgot how bad my prior experience was that I decided to go to this store again. So I wanted to run by and buy a gallon of milk for 2.29, however somehow the shelves were bare. Nothing in back at all. I didn't even try to ask anyone. On top of that the christmas stuff was 75% off. When I brought a can of glad airwick with christmas flavor and also a christmas themed lindt chocolate on the shelf, but ran up full price. I didn't even argue and just bought and returned it the next day. Finally the staff seriously needs a attitude adjustment. Not friendly and just seem bothered when you have to make them work for anything. Oh also before I forgot worst parking lot, tight and small. As I was backing my car out a car smashed on his or her horn and blew by me without even slowing down. I will not be back read more

If you are a busy person don't bother sending your prescription to Walgreens. I wasn't able to make it there immediately after my prescription was filled and by the time I had a chance to pick it up they had put my prescription "back on the shelf" whatever that means. The "pharmacist" was also extremely rude when I asked if there was any way to get the prescription right away. read more

Drive thru pharmacy with two lanes? Yes! Sounds great, right? Well it would be if lane number two wasn't blocked with a cart and lane number one wasn't so ridiculously backed up. Last week was almost 45 minutes in the drive thru at 9:30pm. There were only four or five cars in front of me and quickly there were probably another four behind me. I don't know what the problem was, but it was a major annoyance. I would have gone inside but once I was in line, I had no way of really getting out or knowing that I was going to be there that that long. When it was my turn, I was done in less than two minutes. This is my new Walgreen's, as I have been using them for years for my prescription fillers and they have done a good job so just moved here and needed to get a couple refills before I run out, so called them up and asked to get them filled and to switch me to out here from Seattle, it all went smooth and I was able to go pick up my Meds a hour later just like in Seattle nice clean store with helpful staff, I am glad I picked this location, it is also open 24/7 so I was able to pick up the rest of my meds after midnight when I got off work, as they didn't have the full 90 days worth on hand this location also has a drive through for the pharmacy only down side as I wish Tri Village Drive In was still on this corner yeah I know I am dating my self but they had the best Pizza Puffs http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tri-Village-Drive-In/58644028487 read more

I have never given a review before! first time! I wish I could give negative. While I do so like Evelyn and Sharon they are awesome! I have been isulted by an employee and manager that refused to ring up my purchase. Why because my 20 year old daughter was with me and I was purchasing Mikes hard lemonade frozen drinks among a host of other purchases! Ice tea nail polish G2 snacks! I explained that these items were for me and she was underage, may I speak to a manager. The manager stated she did not have to allow me to purchase the alcohol. I said she is my daughter and they are for me not her! Talk about INSULTING they assume that I will break the LAW and serve a minor because she is shopping with her mother? So when I shop for Saturday nights family dinner at the Jewel and purchase a bottle of wine I cannot enjoy the shopping expirence with my daughter? The pharmacy is the poorest run, incompetent operation I have ever seen. A simple transfer of prescriptions that we were told would take only 2 hours was still not done 6 hours later. The pharmacy techs are easily confused and scariest when trying to answer a simple question. The actual pharmacist are not too much better. I come here a lot for literally anything I need late night or just a quick run. I come here for my medication as well. I always like to call ahead of time,just to not create such a big line in store. Which there always is. I'm currently on the phone,waiting to speak to someone in the pharmacy... I've been on hold for 50MINUTES. I could have went and came back. Does the pharmacy not like the phone? It really frustrates me,i just need to speak to a human and I always mention it to someone and they do nothing about it and even if I had called the prescription called in I will end up waiting 20 minutes in the drive thru. We switched our mail order prescriptions for three people over to this Walgreens August 2019 because we were having so many problems with the mail order service . This walgreens- not only not an improvement but probably 85% more trouble! I have not been able to pick up a single prescription in the past six months on one trip. Some have taken three or four trips and multiple calls. I'm not sure if they're incompetent, untrained or just trying to piss me off. We're done, going to CVS. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Ever! If I could give them no stars I would! My prescription was called in by a doctor. I called 30 minutes later and was told that it was just entered into the system and it would be done in one hour. I go in to pick it up and the girl tries to tell me oh it was just entered into the system and I tell her no, I called an hour ago! So she goes to Check and says oh, they are going to fill it now after 5 minutes of waiting and to wait 10 more minutes to get it. And this has happened multiple times! Don't come here if you are sick and in need of your medication in a relatively quick manner because it won't happen! They never seem to enter our prescription until we actually call to check in it or come in to pick it up! Take your prescriptions to the CVS in Target!!!! read more

This pharmacy is from hell. Nothing works, the computer system is totally chaotic. The staff is arrogant, unprofessional and their IQ is just barely above a grass hopper. Chaotic parking situation, waiting at the drive up for up to 45 minutes.The drawer looks like someone just barfed on it. Totally chaotic phone system, automatic refill a joke. Incompetent and arrogant pharmacists who obviouly do not know what they are doing. I have been given wrong medication and wrong information. Communication between the pharmacy, the doctor and the insurance totally messed up. Avoid this "Pharmacy" at all costs it does not get any more incompetent and unprofessional. Can I just say, Walgreens is about convent shopping- this place has the worst parking lot ever, not enough spaces or room to get out, terrible every time. I now go to this one since I a morally boycotting the on in stream wood, but Walgreens continues to disappoint in the Pharmacy department. I had three new scripts to fill, took them in and was told give them 20 minutes, no problem I like to browse through the aisles. My boys and I waited and waited past our 20 minutes, two bathroom trips in unsanitary conditions made us weary. Finally the overhead call for pickup came 35 minutes from drop off, they only filled one of the prescriptions I guess it was too much to ask to read the entire script...ugh! So we waited another 20 minutes, finally we got to leave. Yes Walgreens sucks, but I hate walmart more. read more

If Nathan is not working that day or night you won't get your prescriptions! The tech will question you and call your doctor to make sure you really need this. My doctor fax over my prescription I wasn't early and my insurance was going to cover it but the tech was saying I was still early. Called my doctor on a Saturday when they were closed asking if he can refill this, the doctor answering service yelled at the guy asking him why are you calling if the doctor fax it over so that means she needs it. Today I went there and Nathan wasn't working it was a big lady working, I take hydrocodone for my neck and back, but I have an extract tooth that's needs to be removed but need to see an oral surgeon that my insurance doesn't cover. So I'm in pain all through the night and I can't take more then I'm supposed to take with my hydrocodone because I will run out and my insurance won't cover it next month. So I need something at night. Got Tylenol codeine and Nathan refill it for me and told me to take it at night like I'm supposed to do. Well the Tylenol codeine is not helping so my doctor prescribed me tramadol to take at night. This lady tech called my doctor and told her she didn't think this is a good idea to fill it because I'm taking hydrocodone so my doctor canceled the script. Are you kidding me is the tech a doctor if I give you a prescription you fill it why do you have to call my doctor every time to make sure!! The lady that working today, thank you very much now I'm going to be in pain tonight, your not a doctor!! I'm going when Nathan working and if he not working I'm leaving!! Horrible!! read more
