I have actually been to this location several times, just never opted to write a review as there is just not really much for me to say. I mean, it's a Walgreens. Unless something incredibly horrific were to happen like the RedBox machine exploding before my eyes, what is there really to say? I should probably also clarify that I am almost never on any prescriptions, so I have never used their actual pharmacy itself. I work with several pill poppers, and at the office I hear them bickering in the break room about pharmacies the same way catty women would about shoes. Since I am not involved in that whole lifestyle, I do not have much to add about the level of service for Wallgreen's in that regard. I typically stop in for odd's and ends types of purchases when I am too lazy to want to drive to one of the bigger places as this location is extremely close to my apartment. What others have said about it being in an inconvenient location is right on the money. The corner of Golf and Barrington is a zoo at times, which makes it a frustrating voyage if you go during peak times. Their is a stop light for both entering and leaving the location at least, which is a big plus for this area. One of the most annoying aspects of driving in the Schaumburg/Hoffman area is the amount of businesses that do not have direct access to them from the opposite side of the street. This basically forces you to have to drive to a stop light and do a U-Turn. Lame! So this place is actually a cut above average when viewed from that perspective. This location is also open 24 hours, which comes in handy when you are a night owl like me and have a sudden urge for a Hot Pocket. read more

Worst pharmacy ever! They are slow, they are rude, they don't give a crap about their customers. I sat in the drive-through waiting patiently for them to come back from dinner, which was my choice to do. I knew my prescription was ready based on the text that I received and when the pharmacy tech came back from dinner asked me what I needed told him the prescription that was ready. He told me it had been put back on the shelf. There was no reason for that as today was the last day it would be ready for me. Nowhere does it tell me that the prescription will be shelved after 7 PM. So I had to go inside and stand in a long ass line with there are only two cashiers only need to be told that they only had one of the two prescriptions ready. So I had to sit there and wait as it is one medication in separate dosages. Therefore, it has to be separate pills so I had to wait another 45 minutes. I got there at 6: 30 8 PM I didn't leave with my medication until 8:05 PM. No apologies nothing. read more

12/23/25, shopper beware if you a a lean of color!! this is a twist location, will ask for your proof of citizenship. store manager called three officers on me for suspected stealing when I pulled a tissue out of my purse the put it back. after they searched all my possessions and coat the officers stated "store manager doesn't want you here" issued a citation for trespassing and asked us to leave. no apologies. we are a family of 3 with a baby, shopping for birthday card and makeup. to be asked for my passport at a Walgreens, then mistreated for not being white and one of us having an address outside the US? This place is an absolute joke. They never have your prescription ready. Every time, but once I have went to pickup I have had to wait or come back. I have been getting automated calls since last Wednesday tell me they are waiting on one of my prescriptions and it should be a couple days but my other prescription is ready. I was in the area today 6 days later and I will run out of the script that is ready on Wednesday so I figured I can't wait any longer for the other one to come in. So I stop in and stand in a line 10people deep to be told my prescription isn't ready and I'll have to come back. Now as in sitting here typing this I just got another automated call telling me that the prescription I just tried to pickup 15min ago is ready. Ever since they changed their employees to Indians only. Customer service has gotten so bad. Im asian myself. But its so bad. These employees think they working in India or something. Everytime i go to pick up my prescription. Theres always a problem. Expect 20 min at least to pickup your prescription. BEWARE AND STAY AWAY!!! Been a customer with Walgreens for 25 years now and seen it dropping in sales and service. Now their only business is the pharmacy and the Chief Pharmacist there Desai seems to think that they are indispensable and there is no competition around. Time after time my controlled medications were denied by her after the app and another pharmacist told me they were available and ready for pickup but she would override that and give it away to another customer whom she favored and I was actually told to go to CVS and take my family's business retail and pharmacy there too. Not a very nice piece of advice to a chronically sick person who alone takes 22 prescriptions from Walgreens every month not counting my family's prescriptions and other retail purchases. The work environment there has become a standing joke with half a dozen people on duty and always a long line of customers waiting at the the pharmacy or at the drive thru and calling there is a 1-100 odds that someone picks up within 20 minutes and God forbid if you ask to speak to a pharmacist that's an additional 30 minute hold at a minimum. Take my advice and please find yourself a new pharmacy, CVS on Golf Road down the street is great by the way, and spare yourself this aggravation, frustration, anger and tension as they treat you as if they're doing you a favor and don't seem to realize that they have a job and a pharmacy only due to customers like us and not the other way around. It's no wonder they went bankrupt after over a 109 years of being a publicly traded company, it was bad management and it still is bad management. Wake up and read the reviews Corporate. The hand sanitizers at the entrance and back by the pharmacy are rarely filled. This may not be a concern for most people, but for those who have immunity issues, this is a problem. When it's brought to the staff's attention, the reaction generally appears to be ambivalence. And this is a drug store that is supposed to be dedicated to health. If you have time to kill and a full tank of gas, the use the inconvenient drive thru to kill some time ( 20-25 minutes) to get your prescriptions. You then may be told to come inside and wait again in a line of 6-7 people to get your prescription. That's because only 1 person works the drive thru and 1 works inside. The 3rd person has to help the heavy set pharmacist with the red cheeks that tells people to transfer their prescriptions to different Walgreens if they don't like waiting. read more

DO NOT get your prescriptions sent here. They do not answer any phone calls so I came in to check if my daughter's prescription was ready. I was told to come back in an hour because pharmacist had not approved it yet. Came back over an hour after and spoke with someone else who said the same thing and to wait 15 minutes. Waited and it wasn't ready. Spoke to the pharmacist and said it was sent to wrong walgreens and that it would be another hour before it was ready. I don't understand why neither tech caught that it was sent to the wrong one! Anyway, came back and got another run around saying that it was just called in and it wasn't ready after almost 4 hours of trying to get this prescription. The worst pharmacy Location I've ever experienced. Takes days to get basic prescriptions filled (statin med) and their system is a joke too. If you call in a script through automated system and provides next day pick up, or say "I need it sooner" doesn't work. Simply ends the call to pick up the next day. Also had a situation where they put another Patients label on my husband's prescription! The pills were correct, but again, another persons info on the pill bottle. Again, it's all about driving you crazy and making some money. I had a $15 "credit" after abstaining from Walgreens and I decided to try it out and give them a chance... Turned out I had to purchase Iike $5 to use $6. So, I did whatever was best for me; I didn't want to use the credits after finding out the minimums required, and decided to save them for later. Then the entire rewards balance reduced to $.46, after a phone call that I only decided to place because I was treated nicely as mentioned, with the $15 credit and other nice gestures. Trying to pick up through the drive through and the girl at the window wouldn't listen when I told her I got a robocall saying it was ready. DONT WASTE YOUR LITERAL TIME GETTING YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE. I came to drop off two prescriptions (one of which was a controlled medication ). I brought in a coupon for the controlled medication since ,even with insurance, it's more than I'd like to pay for a medication. I've used a similar coupon for this medication before at a different Walgreen location no problem. The young lady at the pharmacy counter told me it would be a 45 minute wait. I'm typically a patient person so I said that was fine and I would wait in store. This is where it gets sloppy. After strolling through the Walgreens for about 45 minutes, you'd figure you'd hear your name on the overhead stating your prescription is ready OR to come back to the pharmacy counter in case there was an issue right ? Nope, not at this Walgreens. I got tired of walking around the store, I took a seat in front of the pharmacy. I continued to wait there for 20 minutes without any update. I decided to go in line and ask how much longer. When I get to the same lady who took in my scripts, she then tells me "oh there was an issue with the antidepressant you dropped off since you have a lower dose in your account etc etc. If you delete the old medication, we can fill this". I'm annoyed they didn't page me. She says it will be ready in 5. I'm like cool not a problem. But of course there's another problem after the 5 minute wait. As she's ringing me up, I notice the coupon wasn't applied to the stimulant. I asked her why it wasn't applied. She says "it should have!" But obviously I'm looking at the grand total and that's not right. She takes it to another pharmacy associate to look into it. She finally returns and says they will have to look into it but it would be a while longer. At this point, I want to get out of there so I told her just ring me out for the antidepressant and I'll call tonight regarding the stimulant. Onto the next problem! I decided to call the following morning. I was on hold for 30 minutes so I decide to drive over instead since this is ridiculous. I tell a male pharmacy technician what happened. He finds my prescription and tells me that it got rejected and they don't know why and to just get another coupon. I'm annoyed again they did not give me a courtesy call or anything ! I give up and just pay the amount but I will never again get my prescription filled here ! Oh and the pharmacist talks smack in the back about patients he gets off the phone with. Store in general is clean but rarely someone around to help or answer a question. Changed medical coverage and found it less to use Good RX for prescriptions instead of the cost of yearly prescription drug coverage. When I presented the pharmacist with my order she rudely said, "oh you don't have insurance?" I actually do have insurance miss bitty, but it was more economical for me to get it this way, so why did she make me feel like a low class citizen? Horrible customer service and attitude by pharmacists is consistent every time I visit this horrible establishment. My wife is pregnant and went to get prenatal vitamins on 3/1/18 after receiving a text message from the pharmacy for the 2nd time that the prescription is ready. This is now the second time we have gone to get a prescription that is supposedly ready and all she can arrogantly say as she lipped it to me multiple times sarcastically was "it's on back order we don't have it". She has not had this for almost a month now. We will find another company to fill our prescriptions. Anyone willing to deal with the arrogant trashy pharmacists is out of their mind. I regularly shop here as it's very convenient & one of the few places I can buy gloves for work. The store is well organized making everything easy to find. Most of the cashiers seem to remember my name & are very friendly. Joyce is probably my favorite cashier here because she is always super friendly & whenever there isn't a line she usually chats with me too while I check out. As far as the pharmacy goes, I've never had to fill a prescription here since I've always filled them at Osco, but whenever I have asked the pharmacists for otc product recommendations while shopping, they've always been super helpful. Out of every wallgreens in the schaumburg/ hoffman area, this is my favorite location easily. read more

This place is such a hit or miss. It is 24 hours which makes me happy, especially when I don't have to deal with the traffic on Golf and Barrington. I won't touch it during peak hours. The customer service can be awesome. Several years ago I had one of the pharmacists sit down with me and take her time to show me how to use a new machine. It can also suck to the point where I swear that I will never return. Nothing is worse than trying to catch someone's attention when you've got the worst head cold and your phone says that your prescription has been ready but they're all in the back filling other people's pills and no one is manning the counter. They seem to be overwhelmed which is not good but they're adequately polite. I have other pharmacies closer to me but none that is 24/7.
