The absolute worst personel in the pharmacy! I waited on hold for 1.5 hours because I needed to know if I could pick up my prescription before they closed at 9pm. Finally someone answered but she needed to speak with the pharmacist because she could not find the prescription sent~after a long wait I was disconnected! My husband went in to see if he could get it the following day and was completely ignored, they help all the drive up customers before anyone inside, AND they were out of my prescription! I went for a Covid 19 test that was supposed to be 2 hours and 24 hours later I still hadn't heard back. I tried to get through to the pharmacy and no one would answer besides someone that told me I needed to be more patient. Finally I was able to get through to the front desk and they told me my test was "invalid" and I needed to come back. They are sloppy and cannot hood their promises about timing and don't seem to care that they didn't. This whole time I was Covid positive after I went to a legitimate test facility. read more

The pharmacist treated me horribly. I have tried several times to try and make this location work. I want it to work as they are close to where I live. They have misplaced my files. Billed wrong insurance. Made me pay for medication that my insurance was supposed to pay for. I asked a family member to pick up me prescriptions as I'm disabled, they waited in line. DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY!!!! This Walgreens has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It was New Year's Eve and my son just got diagnosed with pink eye. We are at the Walgreens pharmacy pick up line at 440. I'm waiting in line for 20 minutes and get to the pick up window for them to inform me that they are now closed. I was floored that they couldn't stay an extra 5 minutes to fill my prescription and hand it to me. I spoke to a manager and he said that my prescription that was ordered an hour ago by that time, wasn't even filled yet. Needless to say he said that they would be open tomorrow and to come back in the morning. Well, I came back in the morning and low and behold the pharmacy was closed. So not only did the manager lie to me about them being open but now this is the second day my son goes without an antibiotic for his eyes. My husband spoke to a manager and the woman was extremely rude and very argumentative. She said that they announced at 330pm that all prescriptions after 330 would not be filled. Like someone who is at your store at 430 is going to know that! She was not apologetic in the slightest and wanted to help us out in no way. She said to come back tomorrow. I will never go back to this Walgreens again. And the only reason why I went to this Walgreens in the first place is because my small town pharmacy closes at 4 and I knew I wouldn't make it. Yes, I understand they are understaffed at times but that is never a reason for them to be rude and discourteous. The staff is usually very rude and curt in questions asked of them. If they refer you to a pharmacist he is even more rude. When you are the customer - you always hope for someone to be kind to assist you but that will not happen here. read more

What an incredibly horrid experience! Two days back my wife and I went in for our Covid vaccinations. We had advance appointments, filled out the their online forms, and brought in paper copies. We were on time and when we arrived there were only a few others in line. Well, this place turned out to be a real mess, totally disorganized, understaffed and incompetent. We were there for 2 1/2 hours! That was 2 hours waiting and another 30 minutes for them them to correct their messed up paperwork. We had to send it back three times. Names, address, and phone numbers were wrong, even though we brought the correct information on our paperwork. The manager assured us they were doing everything in their power to move things along, but shortly thereafter another employee confided in me that they were purposefully double-booking. Worst pharmacy ever. My doctor sent over 2 prescriptions to be filled. They filled one right away. The cashier REFUSED to fill the second one because she said I could buy it over the counter. The cashier, who is NOT a doctor, nor a pharmacist, repeatedly told me it was cheaper to buy over the counter ($9) and just to take more than I would with a prescription. Highly illegal for her to give me medical advice. Highly illegal for her to choose not to fill a prescription based on her ignorant opinion. I said multiple times that I would pay the $21 for the prescription and she refused to fill it. I will file a complaint with Walgreens headquarters as well. This pharmacy is the absolute worst with the worst and rudest customer service. I'd like to add on to my review that the cashier initially lied and said they had only received one prescription. I have never encountered a person in a pharmacy that was so rude, condescending, and just downright mean! I was trying to fill a prescription, but based on what the prescription was and how much of it I was prescribed, she said she needed more information from my doctor. When I talked to my doctor, they said that the information they wanted was privileged and they were not allowed to give it, as it would be a HIPAA violation. When I explained to the person in the pharmacy what my doctor had said, she became very rude and sarcastic and said, "well I'm sorry your doctor doesn't understand HIPAA, but that's not my problem. It's not a HIPAA violation... You can come get your prescription and take it somewhere else!" Now crying, I asked her why she had become so rude; I was just trying to get a prescription filled?", she said in a cold voice, "I'm just informing you. We are apart of your medical team, so we have a right to know!". At this point I am in tears. She did not care, and insulted me by making me feel like I was an imbecile wasting her time trying to get some pain relief. I'm disabled and need to be on pain meds for the rest of my life, but she made me feel like I was just some sort of junkie looking for a prescription. And then tried to ask if I could give them what my doctor said to give as proof of why I needed this particular medication, she got even more angry at me saying, "Nope, that's not good enough, it has to be a direct exchange between us and your doctor. So like I said if they're not going to give us that information you can come down and take your prescription elsewhere!" At this point I was just trying to be polite and asking her why she was talking to me in this way and becoming rude, so I asked her name, at which point she gave me her first name and I asked for her last, she said I'm not obligated to give you my last name. Again, you can come down and pick up your prescription and take it somewhere else." So I did, but I will never step foot in a Walgreens again! I'm in tears right now just even writing this! If I could give them less than 1 * I would but, this is the only option. read more

Only giving this place one star because I have to in order to type a review. First of all the Grass Valley Walgreens doesn't know the first thing about customer service. Don't even know how to spell it. I have been trying for 4 months to get auto refill to work with this poor excuse of a pharmacy. They still can't seem to get it right. Now they can't even get the insurance information right. Worked last month. Same insurance, same coverage and they still can't get it right. I am now out of critical heart meds and no closer to get the refills done. I HIGHLY recommend that if you have critical medications and need them refilled on time GO somewhere else!!!! Three pharmacy experiences here now warrants this review... first time was in the drive thru, waited 30-40 min while the attendant left me there only to return saying my prescription wasn't yet in?! The next time I went inside after learning the drive thru isn't the way to go and the attendant wouldn't even make eye contact or address me, I didn't even feel human. She was rude, abrupt and took forever to get my prescription. She could have warned it will be awhile or said anything but instead your just standing there waiting. The last time was basically the same lengthy, drawn out mediocre service where I left feeling enraged by the lack of service and care I would expect from a professional establishment. This place is holy-gods bad. At times I've gone years moving state to state with no medical insurance, no regular doctor and no expectations of care. Mostly, that period was in very rural Utah, Colorado and that year I was super poor in Oakland. I have never had such an incompetent, unresponsive pharmacy. What broke the camel's back was when the phone system told me my medication would be ready the next day, and it took another week before they re stocked & filled my prescription. WTF? How does a major chain pharmacy get THAT bad? Blowing me off for a week on a fairly common medication? WIthout so much as a phone call to let me know I'd have to figure something out? Meh. One of the slowest locations I've ever been too (pharmacy wise) anima seemed lost and like she barely knew what she was doing. Maybe she's new, I don't know. But, you could tell other technicians were irritated and losing their patience with her. It took about 15 minutes to check me out, with 2 other people helping her. That wasn't including the wait time. I would not recommend doing the drive through either, there were 3 cars there before I even walked in and I don't think were helped until half way through me being helped. Something here needs to change for a smooth flow of business. Organization and more training would be my suggestion. Bathrooms are well maintained as is the rest of the facility. I had the Doctor call in an Rx to the Grass Valley store on Tuesday. I came in Wednesday and they had not received it. I called the Doctor and they called in and talked to a pharmacist at 9:30am. I called at 10:15 am that same day and they at Walgreens had still not received it. I called back to speak to the store manager but to no avail. After several more calls in Wednesday, I came in Thursday to pick up the prescription and it's not ready. They said the insurance said to early to refill. However, I told Walgreens at least 4 times we were going to pay outside of insurance. I told them this now( 5 times). Now the tech says I will have to wait an hour, they are really busy. Never have prescription ready. Always a nightmare. My most recent pick up, I dropped off my RX slip at 12:00. Told to come back in hour. I can back at 3:00. Still not ready. Came back at 5:00pm. Still not ready!!! I was leaving town and waiting specifically for the medication so I could leave. I ended up staying and waiting 30 min for them to finish it. Unbelievable. It has only gotten worse since Spring Hill RX closed and now all of their customers were sent over to Walgreens. They are very friendly and that makes me keep coming back. They are also one of the few in town that are open on a Sunday. Rite Aid is no better with their timeliness and they are rude. So Walgreens is the lesser of the two evils that have a drive-thru. read more

Deceptive advertising/marketing. I was looking for Howard Leigh brand ear plugs. I checked Walgreens web site to see if they have them. They list it as not sold on line, find it and the price at store. I check and it lists 6 to 9 in stock at the Sutton way store. Then you notice the " * " at the bottom of the pop up window. It basically is their legal weasel words about the quantity may not be accurate. Understatement of the week! Went there and not only did they not have any there was not even a shelf spot for them. Was in Rocklin and checked a Walgreens on Sunset Blvd. Exactly the same story. In stock on line, in store not there and no shelf spot for them. Deceptive listings to get you in the store and then hope you will buy something when you are there. From other reviews I will not be using AARP/Walgreens medicare part 'D' insurance plan either. terrible pharmecy, I dropped off a prescription on a Monday, it should have been ready in 24 hours, when I came to pick it up it had never been processed. I went back on Thursday, it was still not processed. I called the following Monday and they had no record of it at all. After I called my doctor it was finally ready the next day and the price was six times higher than what I had been told. If there was a zero star rating, I would choose it. Prescriptions are never ever done on time, and the staff does not keep their word. If they say they will fill a prescription later that afternoon, don't expect it to be ready for at least another week. Once I needed my prescriptions filled and I called twice, stopped by three times, and they said the prescription was "lost" and they'd refill it. It took two weeks to get my prescription after that. My recent fiasco included a clerical error on their part, only refilling 15 pills instead of 30, and they have not fixed it. They don't communicate prescription changes until you figure it out on your own the hard way. I love Walgreens and its convenience, but run far, far away from this one if you want to save yourself the stress. read more

The staff are nice. They do not hold to their own procedures. I did an online renewal of a prescription and got an email that said it was ready two days later. I went in 4 days after I renewed on line and still nothing. I came back twice after that and nothing was done. Horrible service. Wrote to the CEO, got the district manager calling me. He said inexcusable. Well went in again yesterday. Said the prescription would be ready in 10 minutes. I hurt and needed to eat (had not eatten for 18 hours) I asked because I would have gone to get something to eat if it was going to take 30 minutes. I had also asked them for only the one prescription I needed. I had 3 on record to fill. Well one hour later they gave me my prescription plus the two I didnt want. I was livid.
