This Walgreen Pharmacy in Fremont, Mowry Ave. is really getting worse. I went to pick-up my prescription today at almost 12:00 pm. on the drive thru and waited for more than 30 minutes for the only one car ahead of me and the attendant in the window was able to respond to all the inquiries of the person ahead of me for 30 minutes and when my time is up I was told that my prescription is not ready yet although I told her that I received a message already and didn't ever bother to double check it and it took me less that 10 minutes to get my wife's single prescription that was ready and to my surprise in less than 5 minutes of leaving the window I got a text message as well as an e-mail again that my prescription is ready for pick-up but I'm already 5 miles away from the pharmacy and tried to call them but unfortunately no one's answering the phone for more than an hour so I hanged-up. Their line inside and outside is too long and the operating hours was changed and it's no longer 24 hr. operation and went down to 12 hrs. only, and the service also went so bad. read more

This is worst pharmacy I have ever been to. If you are in their drive thru , this is an hour project. Every car moves in 15/20 mint . Inside isnt better either. This pharmacy was my go to 4 years ago. I moved back to Fremont, went right back to it and quickly found disappointment. You would think they could fill a prescription how your doctor wants. I wasted 40 minutes waiting for them to fill my 3 month supply only to get 2 one months and half a dosage of the last. Worst pharmacy ever. Doesn't post their revised hours (not 24). I went six times in last few days to try to get my medicine and either they are closed or the line is outrageously slow and long. I was next in line at 9:02 to get antibiotics that I need and they shut the window on me. Ridiculously dirty, awfully run store. It's been days and I haven't been able to get my medicine. I've had great service at this location & I've had terrible service. Anthony, I think that's his name, is usually at the photo section. His customer service is awesome! He helped me out with some film that was more than 10 years old! He's always friendly and in a good mood when I've been there. He makes up for the days that I've had not so good service! read more

This has to be the worse pharmacy! I've waited all day (10 hours) for my prescription to be ready and nothing. Now it's ready when the pharmacy is closing in the next 10 mins. I was really excited to take my daughter who just been seen by her doctor for a really bad ear infection and wait over an hour for her prescription to be filled... Do not bother with the drop off and pick up lines as they mean nothing here. The pharmacist couldn't even get her birthday right. I had to repeat it 5 times. This left me feeling like I was in good hands. After all this I get her prescription and no consult on a new medication! Nice eh? The best part? Wait for it... They didn't even mix her antibiotic. That's right folks I have to go back there! All that being said I did get a complimentary syringe as a parting gift. My advise, avoid this place like the plague. Well. This place is out of some place. It's bad at the store waiting in line for prescription medications to pick up. You only need to wait n line for 2 hrs just to know there is an insurance issue or the particular medications not available. Why would they text you and say medication is ready for then. Ok fine I decided I will call before going there to be sure my medicine is ready. That was another nightmare. I been waiting in the phone over 1 hr for some to answer me. Why is it that take such a long time for Some to answer the phone. I been repeatedly put on hold. Initially the automated voice said I have more than 3 people ahead of me. Then no one but I was still on hold for a longer time. What the hell. These people think we don't have a life, we need to stay on the phone hours to get some one on the phone. I am so sick of hearing " our staff is answering other calls". I was the last one the phone per the last 45 mins. What nonsense. Do they not have enough staff. What kind of management is it that they have. There is no patient satisfaction, I am sure the staff satisfaction is also down the drain. I am still waiting for my medication for 3 days past due now. I got sick and the doctor sent my prescription here. 24 hours later, I still do NOT a have my prescription! I am signed up for text notifications and have received none. I call, and check the status of my prescription and all it says is "it is being filled". it has been like that for 22 hours! Wow. The pharmacy department here is like visiting the under budget dmv. Can someone actually walk in here and walk out in 30 minutes for one prescription. The answer is No!!!! What I noticed is how bad their customer service is. No proper management of any kind. Under staffed as always. Computer system for early 2000's there automated call system to alert, for meds ready to be picked up is even worse than scam callers.in the scam callers you at least talk to someone who is Interested in you as customer. At this location you're merely another useless customer who is bound to be here for meds that you are dependent on. If you really need your meds filled and have to have it same day. Don't go here. Don't even bother turning in the drive way. It's worthless. You will regret the time you spent waiting for them To fill your meds. This place is already famous for hiring and promoting a uncertified pharmacist. That's how you know the management is below average. I love this Walgreens because it is 24 hours and I know they pretty much have a good stock of items. The staff is friendly and I really find great deals on their holiday items which gets marked down to 70-80 percent off so I love coming here after summer breaks and Christmas time they also carry a few Asian snacks too read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Stay away from this place. My husband went to pick up two medications that my insurance covered. The guy who was working in the drive thru said it was $120!!! They should already have my medical insurance information. This place needs new management as well as new employees. To top it off my husband waited 3 hrs. I hope something gets resolved soon for patient care. read more

My advice would be to avoid this branch of walgreens if you are looking to get your prescription filled. This is the second time I've tried to fill a prescription. The first time , even though I called ahead and they told me the the prescription was ready I had to wait over an hour in line to get it. The reason for this was because there was only one person on the counter. Ok, so they were having a bad day I thought, I'll give them another chance. Sorry I did. Please someone open another pharmacy with late hours for those of us that work ! Doesn't matter inside or out, long lines. I just waited in line from 10:30 pm to 11:15 in a drive through pharmacy line and not one car moved. The car in front of me gave up after 40 minutes and I gave up at 45. We've tried to pick up this prescription for two weeks and it's necessary and we will still have to got back and brave the line again. Getting a prescription filled at this pharmacy is so painful on the customer. They also don't pick up the phone, so no idea what the hold up is. Sooo frustrating ! read more

This rating is just for pharmacy. They are low on staff. Pick up line has at minimum 15 people in the line during evenings. The line moves at a low pace, be prepared to stand at least 40 minutes in the queue before your turn arrives. @walgreens- increase the pharmacy staff during the peak hours and take required steps to make your service more efficient and helpful for people. read more

Worst pharmacy in Fremont. Doctor put in post op pain med at 2:30 pm prior to my procedure. Goes to pick it up at 10 pm and told to come back in 2 hours. That is 2 hours that a patient is in pain. Tried filing a complaint on the Walgreens website and it mysteriously will not let you submit the form so obviously Walgreens as a corporation does not value any input from their customers. read more

They always have 1 cashier ringing up a bunch of people at the front, and the cashier working at the photo section is super grumpy. The people at the pharmacy are just monotone, and are either bored or hate their job. I've called in a refill using their automated system and it never goes through, or never gets refilled. I've had to call and speak with someone or go down there and get the refill. Parking lot is hell. It can actually be scary getting to your car when it's dark...I spotted a creepy looking man just loitering between cars and had to go back into the store for a while. There usually was a security guard at the door, but of course he was nowhere to be seen when the creepy guy was loitering in the parking lot. DO NOT GET YOUR RX'S HERE! This store is the worst I have ever experienced. From what I see here on yelp they (Walgreens) are all the same, bad! Incredibly poor service and never have what you need in stock. We spent a week going back and forth waiting for an RX to come in to have them tell me when I finally went to pick it up that according to the computer they DIDN'T have it, and this is after waiting at least 15 min in line! We had even called ahead to confirm it was there not to waste time. I would not leave until the sales associate went to double check the stock. The cashiers are very helpful. Ovi and Lisa always have a smile on their face and always ask how my day is. I like this Walgreens because it is larger and more organized than others that I have been to. However the store managers are not as friendly and helpful. I purchased a few items that should have allowed me to get points. However after looking at the receipt I did not automatically get my points. Later that day I went back and talked to Gene and another store manager. I showed them the proof that I should have received points at my purchase. They told me to call customer service instead, I asked why is that when before this has happened and the cashiers were more than helpful to give me my points. The other store manager " the company doesn't want us to handle things like this" and Gene advised me to wait until tomorrow to call customer service back to see if they can help me. And if not to come back to the store and talk to the store manager in the morning. I graduated with a Hospitality degree and this situation could have been handled with higher expectations. read more

UPDATE: switched to CVS on Mowry & "magically" they are able to refill my prescriptions without the hassle and headache that go along with Walgreens's TERRIBLE customer service. Asked my dad to pick up my prescription on his way home so I didn't have to go through the hassle of making a trip myself. Walgreens told him prescription was not ready because I didn't answer required questions to receive refill. Only thing is I had already filled out all said questions earlier today. This exact same thing happened last time I tried to pick up this prescription and the lady was like, "oh here it is," (approval of clearance because all required steps had been completed). The workers here are so incompetent. I wish zero stars could be given as a review, they seriously don't even deserve the one. I put up with them for this long because their location is convenient, but for my next refill I'm finally switching to CVS. read more

This is the only pharmacy in town that is open 24/7, which is the only reason I go there. When I have the option, I will absolutely go anywhere else. The pharmacy line is always 40 plus minutes long. And if you think the drive thru is better, it is not. The team must be over worked or u fee trained, but they simply don't care. My last order with them was not filled when I picked it up several hours after the medicine was ordered. When I picked it up they first told me the order had not been placed. After looking into it (because I pressed them and knew the doctor had placed the order), they finally told me that the prescription was not filled because my insurance would not cover it. I needed the medicine so I paid for it out of pocket. You think they'd call to find out if the customer wanted the order placed or canceled without making assumptions? Today it took 35 minutes to pick up my prescription in the drive thru. The line inside was 10 people deep. Only one line open as is common. When I finally reached the drive thru window the woman did not even acknowledge my presence. Then she left to speak to another clerk and upon returning to her station again did not acknowledge me. I have had a prescription here for a number of years and it has been getting worse. Long lines, not enough staff, and staff not very friendly. Will be moving my prescription today. read more
