Just an average drug store nothing special. Pharmacy says meds will be ready before they are (this is often) but if you ever need to stop by to fill on snacks before you go on a road trip this place is fine. Also great to get cash back when you need $ for the bridge or restaurant a couple stores down (zam zam grill). read more

It's standard walgreens. Service is average and products are mostly stocked nicely. It's hard to park here as the parking is usually full. Overall you can find things we need on daily basis here so it's nice that we have walgreens here. read more

Had to stop to get some stuff before heading home.... oh boy this is the dinkiest Walgreens I have found myself on the East Bay. When I finally got my stuff the line was super duper long and even with the IC3 announcement constantly going the main cashier is left to fend for herself.... And this utter slow service makes me think they are short handed for extremely understaffed. If I have to rate this place, I will give it a ZERO star! I went to pick up my pictures and the lady name Adriana came to help me. With attitude she asked me the name for pickup; I told her there are 2 orders under the same name. Somehow, she was able to find one only. She start giving attitude saying are you sure you have 2, are you sure you didn't cancel it. I gave her my confirmation order # and she didn't bother to take a look. I told her could it be possible the staff misplace in a different bin; then she start looking at one other bin and still couldn't find it. But during the whole time looking, she was giving dirty look & giving me attitude. Then we both looked into the 1 packet & sure there was 2 orders being place into 1 packet. Then she give me attitude and say "why didn't you look inside to make sure". At that time I was too pissed off!! I've been going to this Walgreens for about 2 years now. The pharmacy is terribly slow and understaffed! I often wait 15-30 min to get to drop off or pickup my prescription. Once I was told my prescription would be ready in 20 min if I wait. I waited over an hour and eventually left. Terrible! read more

I rarely like going to this Walgreens because the customer service is so unpleasant. I always look for deals and to use my coupons to save extra money. I had to make a quick stop to this Walgreens to get laundry detergent amongst other items, before checking out I make sure each item has a coupon that matches. Today two of the coupons did not work for my body wash, and the teller just said if it doesn't scan it doesn't match and it won't work. I reassured him that I make sure I match everything to be able to use the coupon. While I was trying to explain he would cut me off when I was speaking and just let me know if the coupon doesn't scan it won't work. I said I understand that however can he honor the coupon anyway because if he compares the coupon to the item it will work. I started to get frustrated and the line was getting long so I told him to just cancel the transaction and I will only get the detergent. I have a bachelor's degree in hospitality and my standards are set high for every customer service rep that I encounter, clearly these tellers despite the unpleasantness should still have the courtesy make an effort to help amd have a better attitude read more

Union City, CA 6/8/2011 DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY!!! This is the worst pharmacy in the city. 1. The pharmacy techs are not very helpful. 2. Very DISCORGANIZED. 3. They mistakenly lost my presciption and charged my insurance. What a joke. 4. Their computer showed that I picked up my prescription when in fact I did not. 5. When I called to resolve my prescription issues, they put me on hold and hanged up. Only drugstore of six I called (including another Walgreens) to refuse tell me whether or not they had a drug I was looking for unless I was at the store in person. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I went in the get a prescription filled, the clerk said it would take about an hour. I came back an hour later the clerk told me "oh we are out of the prescription you need". Really?!? Why would you make me wait an hour then tell me your out. The pharmacy always has long lines. The pharmacy assistants are inefficient that is why it takes them time to grab the prescriptions from the bins and ring up the customer. You can't even take a number so that you can sit down while you wait for your turn. Instead, you need to stand there in the long line that wraps around the aisles of the store. Don't go here if you have another pharmacy choice. It's not worth waiting every time you need your medication. read more

DON'T call in prescriptions to this pharmacy if you can avoid it. I never even made it to the pharmacy because I had a question about my prescription and was kept on hold for 45 min with one person ahead of me in the call queue before my call was disconnected. There is no reason for a place of business to be so understaffed that it takes them almost an hour to answer their phone. Avoid this completely. Bad location, unclean surroundings, looong lines even during afternoon hours, don't care attitude of the pharmacists. They don't know the meaning of customer service and they have 1 pharmacist at the counter when there are 10 people waiting. They are the worst place to get your medicine from. They are lazy rude and unprofessional. Every time I want to pick up my medicine they tell me 20 minutes and that 20 minutes turns into 50 minutes.
