Always helpful people work here. Great specials and sales. I just got Oil of Olay products on a buy one get second half off deal. And the checkout clerk always helps people to see if their product is part of the weekly special (I know he doesn't have to do that, but he does out of the goodness of his heart). PHARMACY - VERY RUDE SALES REP!! Went to pick my prescription at the pharmacy and they had to fill up one more medicine and asked if I could wait 5 minutes. They said they would announce my name on the PA system and I could just pick it up. She asked me to go shop around to kill time. 15 minutes later and still nobody called for me. I went to ask and wanted to check if my medicine was ready or should I come back. Same female yelled at me saying how busy she was and to get back in line. I once again tried to ask politely if my medicine was ready and if yes, I could go back in the line. She yelled at me once again. The pharmacist standing there realized that I was coming BACK for my medicine and that she could help me instead. She also mentioned this to the girl at the register and the girl came back trying to fake an "I did not realize it was you". I did not expect her to recognize me, but there was no reason to yell at someone. How about listening what the customer is saying instead of expressing their frustration on them? Now that the pharmacist was involved, the girl at the register insisted that she help me and that I don't need to get back in line. I kept my couple items at the counter and she scanned only the medicines and asked me to go the front register to check out the remaining items. I said she could have told me earlier that they only will check out medicines here. She declared she was busy (Exactly 2 people in line at this point). Pushed the medicines through the window, ignored me and called out to the next customer. I collected my medicines and my other unchecked items. read more

I have a First to Review here because I'm a stickler for accuracy (there are currently 8 other reviews for this location, but the address listed is slightly wrong). My wife and I have gone here a few times, and I was really impressed on the 14th. +There's a solid selection of everything (ex: drinks; snacks; candy; greeting cards; magazines; cosmetics; office supplies; toiletries). +New FasTrak customers can obtain toll tags here and at other Walgreens locations (you save a few dollars). +We picked up some personalized photo cards here (my wife took advantage of a deal, and so the 40 Christmas cards only cost $21.38 with tax). The cards looked good, and the young woman who helped us provided excellent customer service (she was very friendly and thorough). She even apologized after she had to answer the phone (the call only lasted about 20 seconds). +The store is always clean and organized. +There are always some items on sale. +You can save money on your prescriptions by joining the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club. +/-In general, the service here is hit or miss. Some cashiers are friendly, while others are just "there." In addition, if there's a line, expect it to move a little slowly. -The parking lot is small and a pain to deal with. -The aisles are somewhat narrow, and some of them look cluttered due to a lack of space (the store isn't that big). -You'll pay more for most items than you would at a grocery store. A man and woman from The Salvation Army are now collecting money outside. They're very cheerful, and can really sing (they have music playing). On the 14th, a Christmas version of "That's the Way (I Like It)" was played (the song was really just mixed with a Christmas carol). DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY!!! I felt that this pharmacy hires the worst pharmacy techs ever. no customer service, they just hang around inside the pharmacy and let one guy deal with 20 plus customers waiting in line for drops or pick ups. they are very DISORGANIZED! I was waiting in line the other day for a pick up, the guy in front of me, quite old from what he looks like, stood in line and he has some problems with his insurance and the pharmacist said we cant help you, your record shows your medicine etc is availble at safeway only at menlo park. the guy said "so im gonna drive all the way to Menlo park just to get my meds?" why cant they go out of their way and help the poor old man find the telephone number or ask the pharmacy at Menlo to tranfer it to their location. This is the worst Walgreens pharmacy I have every used. Pharmacists here seem competent but the desk staff are really disorganized and unfriendly. They have serious difficulty doing the most basic things, every time i visit there is some confusion and problem. repeatedly the front desk gives instructions that actually contradict the pharmacist, and their computer systems are always having problems billing insurance. there seems to be a general bad attitude towards thier customers. read more

If I could give this pharmacy zero stars I would. They are terrible!!!! You try to call the pharmacy and are on hold for 20 minutes or more at a time. Then staff member picks up the phone and hangs up on you. This happened multiple times to me today. Terrible customer service to hang up on someone who is trying to call to get help with a prescription. Don't waste your time at this pharmacy! I've run into some helpful people around here, but not as often as I would expect. It's so hard to find someone who works there who isn't talking to coworker.. or rarely, another customer. :T I was in the search of a specific Christmas decoration and I had to ask an associate twice where the specific item was, but she never left her post to actually show me. This Walgreens gets its stars for customer service! I've met friendly and helpful staff here either when I'm looking for an item or checking out. Tags are usually updated during new sales and shelves are restocked whenever empty. Prices are a little steep for some stuff but what do you expect for a drugstore. read more

Why do I have to call four times to get my medication filled? Why do I have to ask for the person's information who works in the pharmacy and be denied? I promise you that humans need to be more mindful of how they interact with each other, truly. But I feel like this Walgreens has decided to be extra rude because of the new covid attitude problem. Pete is the name I was given when I said I was going to place a formal complaint about him with corporate because he hung up on me for being frustrated that I had to go cold turkey off my medication. A month of cold turkey for antidepressants is not healthy. I was told by Pete that he can only do (fill) one medication at a time, I asked if one medication is not in stock does that mean all the medications are delayed. He tried to say that wasn't the case, but that has been my precise experience. If they are out of one item on my list, they fill nothing until I call and make an uproar. That's unacceptable, and is writing this going to do anyone any good? No. Why? They don't care, I only hope someone might read this and heed the warning. Go elsewhere. I had to meditate on not committing a felony against Pete. That's not cool with me. That's not helpful Pete. Maybe go back to where you got your education and perhaps expand on empathy and ethics. She called my drs office and implored them to hurry and approve before the pharmacy closed and reminded them that I was completely out of meds. She was patient and sympathetic. I've been at this location a few times and my experiences has been good. However a few days ago I came in and was helped by Kristine, in cosmetic and she was plain rude and nasty. extremely weird service. didnt answers the phone until multiple tries. website said one of the items i ordered for pickup wasnt in stock even though it was on the website, so I called to cancel it and the woman who picked up the phone was very unhelpful. she didnt have an ounce of knowledge as if she doesnt even work there. I asked if she could check if the item is actually out of stock and she says shes on the register so she cant check, okay?? then says "ill cancel your order, bye" and hangs up. Super strange because I never even gave my name or order number so how did you really cancel it? thats right, she didnt. I never got refunded and it still says my item is ready for pickup. smh read more

Super annoyed by the two manager at photo center right now as I am typing this review. This is annoying beyond I can handle. I order 100prints on Friday afternoon and decided to pick up on Saturday night, which they seem to not be able to find and will reprint. Today, Sunday afternoon, went back and again-cannot find my prints and have to reset for printing. What DA heck. No sorry, nothing. I was so annoyed from standing there for 15minutes waiting for them to look for my prints the second time around. Since they cannot find my prints, and I don't want it to be reprinted. Just cancel it-ill go somewhere else. After I arrived home, they called me and said they found my prints and ask me to go back. Hell no!! Waste of my time, my gas. I don't know if I return, the third time and they lose my prints again. Note to managers, at least apologize for your stupidity of handling matters. When customers are upset, instead of reducing my frustration, you tell me you don't know anything does not make it any better. I order so much prints from here before, always 100+ photos every time.. The Managers are very helpful, answer any questions I may have. The whole staff are willing to go out of their way to help you. With my insurance I can go to any pharmacy I choose Walgreen's.!!! Came here this past Saturday around 8 P.M. to get some heartburn medicine for my mom. The Nexium was locked up, so I pushed the button for assistance. I stood there for 10 minutes and no one came, so I pushed it again. Workers walked by but no one came to assist me. I ended up getting the Zantac instead. This is for the photo department I went in and it wasn't busy. Needed my passport photo taken and printed. I didn't have to wait too long to be helped, but to still took about 15 minutes for me to pick up my printed photo. Lady who helped me was very nice. Since One of my insurance moved me toWalgreens from CVS to Walgreens I got very bad experience dealing with them having two insurance, Their Staff always claiming that they dont do dual claim , So I contacted Walgreens Head Quarters to verify if the Walgreen Decoto staff statement are true or false, Good enough their staff are just being lazy to do manual claiming, so every time I have to pickup my prescription I have to insist that they are suppose to do dual charging manually .. Till yesterday one of the lazy staff member decided to tell that one of insurance are no longer activated to their system, I didnt argue about it , I was just sick worried that we have been dis enrolled with one of my insurance.. I made all the calls and find out that we are still active.. called back to Walgreens Decoto different staff member answered I asked her if they do dual insurance charging the answer was Yes, So I ask for the manager and give her my story about Daniel (the LAZY ass staff member).. after the unhappy conversation with the Store manager I contacted the Head Quarters Customer Service and file my complain against the very LAZY staff member.. Now they will deal with the Corporate District Manager.. And I will not stop from here.. The fact that that LAZY ass staff member lied about my insurance status just to get rid of me is just very bad.. This kind of manner have no room to any place like Walgreens, they supposed to help their customer because without us this place will not exist.. This pharmacy sucks. Period. There's always a wait - they're understaffed. It's never the same people there since they obviously don't work out or quit - so you have to explain things over and over and over again. Don't even try to refill anything online - it's a waste of time. They'll tell you your medication is ready. Email you. And call you. And then you go wait in their long line, and guess what? Whatever you refilled isn't ready for pickup. Ummmm?? And you explain the situation and all the cashier says is I don't know. Yeah no kidding. I gathered that much. No one knows what's going on here. I have tried going in during the day, late at night, weekends, etc..- No matter what there is a long line at the pharmacy. I go to this Walgreens because it is close to work. It is much better than the CVS in Newark. Still, the pharmacy is always very busy. There are very few times that I have been there when there were short lines. Still, if you one uses their phone refill system, the refills are usually ready when you get there. read more

Where is management when you need it? Lines are backed up by 6 to 10 people. And that is not just at the front check out lanes. At the Pharmacy, too! First they sent back my prescription without telling me there was a limit to how long they can leave my order waiting on the claim shelf. Then, when I come back to place my order in again, THEY GIVE ME THE WRONG ONE! Forget this place. I am so heated that this place does not deserve my business any longer. Went to Walgreens to fill my prescription and had to pick some things up while I waited for it to be ready. I went to the front and the cashier was having a full blown conversation with a customer and had a full line waiting. After standing there waiting for 5 mins I decided to follow the guys lead in front of me to the photo counter to be checked out. Ramona helped me and she is a true cashier! Pleasant, friendly and fast!!! Ramona you made my anger from that women's rudeness to her customers go away and I am now smiling. This review is for the pharmacy only. I NEED TO CHANGE MY PHARMACY. Waited on the phone for the pharmacist for 20 min, came to the store, I am currently waiting in line and it's been 25 min so far and I am still behind 6 other customers. I switched from CVS to walgreens since walgreens is closer, however I feel stupid because in the time it would have taken me to drive to CVS, get my prescription, and go back home, I would still be in line at walgreens.
